This is the gigantic, endless, lifeless wasteland that occupies the entirity of the hollow world. The desert is filled with white sand...and more white sand...and occasionaly theirs a hill of white sand...and sometimes their are pits of white sand. Their are dunes, pit falls, mountains, and sand traps, all made of the same white sand that endlessly fills the desert. Small, pointy, crystiline trees protrude from the surface of the desert at odd intervals. Many of the larger hollow roam this area, searching for an even larger meal.

"Just look at them..." said Deathsye looking at the group of weak hollows fighting each other, "... They are so animalistic... It is hard to believe they were once Human Souls..." he added, "I wonder what they would do if they suddenly gained the ability to reason... And think... Would they regret what they become... Or embrace it... So much to think about..."

Khalee and Ethan appeared in the Desert, Khalee holding Ethan by the arm with one hand and a small purple-black stone in the other. She let go of Ethan before saying, "Stay right here and keep your eyes closed."
"Whatever you say, Khalee..." Ethan said as he put his hands in his pockets. Khalee sonidoed to a place in desert and held the rock up before her face and stared at it, almost lovingly. She smelled it, and licked it, but promptly spat it out. The hollow bait, while smelling delicious, tasted awful. She stepped on the stone with her foot, burying it under the sand.
She spat a few times and turned to Ethan to see him still standing there with his eyes closd, having not moved an inch. She grinned as she thought, Hehe... I should leave him here. See how long he stays out here...
She grinned as she sonidoed to another patchc of the desert, leaving Ethan a fair distance away. The menos began to stir in the woods, attracted by the hollow bait and Ethan's immense spiritual pressure.

(You're not supposed to spoil the suprise, which isn't much anyway, but you get the point!)
Spindel had completely covered the stone in powdered hollow bait! Crude, but very effective. The bait was more attractive to hollows than arrancar, so that's why the espada didn't go crazy like the others hollows in the vacintiy did. Menos after menos reached the horizon, madly dashing toward the baited stone! Gillian, adjucas, and several large hollows were running rapdily toward the stone, and Ethan was in their way! Ethan appeared to be an obstacle obstructing their path to their meal, so he must be destroyed! The gillian fired many cero's at Ethan, many missed, but some were right on target! The adjucas zipped ahead, attempting to get closer to their prey!
All the while, a tiny, beetle hollow hovered above the struggle. In it's forehead, a small red crystal was embeded in it's skull. From this, Spindel could use technology in his lab to see everything the beetle saw! Using this method, he observed his experiment. Spindel had purposefully baited the stone, and wanted to see if it attracted as many powerful hollow as it was. He was right! Now, he wanted to see how aggresive these hollows were. This was an important test that would help him greatly in future experiments.

((wait - I'm sorry, what'd I do wrong? sweatdrop ))
Ethan yelled in surprise as he was hit head-on by a Gillian's cero. He fell backwards as he opened his eyes. The Gillian's cero, while fatal to some, felt to Ethan like running headfirst into a brick wall.
"What the?!" Ethan rubbed his head and stared at the menos around him with wide-open eyes before sonidoing straight up. He reappeared, his jacket covered with large rips, tears all over, and two missing coattails. He then rememberd the faint odor he had smelled coming from the stone. So it was hollow bait!
He stood in the air as the Gillians tried to figure out where Ethan had gone. He closed his eyes and put two fingers to his left temple, picking up Khalee with his Pesquisa. He appeared with a sonido beside her. "Khalee! Get out of here! You just planted hollow bait here!"
"Aw... Ethan-kun... can't I stay and watch?" Khalee asked as he looked up at him. Behind him Ethan heard a cero being charged up. The gillians had spotted them. They both gasped as they turned to see two Gillians, mouths wide open, each charging up a red cero.
Ethan raised both arms and extended a thumb, index, and middle finger on each hand. Two ceros charged up in less than a second and fired towards the Gillians, punching a second hole through one and blasting the other's mask to bits. Both menos fell over, shrieking in agony as their ceros fired skyward.
"Fine! Stay where you are and don't do anything dumb!" Ethan said as he sonidoed away, back to where he was when he got hit by the Gillian's cero.
He raised his right arm and charged up a third cero, attracting the attention of the menos with the light, away from Khalee.

(Been feeling sick. Sorry for the late reply.)
The gillian fell to Ethan's might, but the adjucas got within range! What looked like a giant preying mantis, with iron arms, leaped high into the air, above Ethan, and came down towards him with his bladed arms! Plus, several of the other adjucas fired ceros at Ethan, in close range!
The spy beetle continued to chew mindlessly on the baited stone as Spindel was overjoyed at the success of his test! This would lead the way to several more soffisticated techniques of initiating invasions, raids, and whatnot!

Ethan reached up and blocked, stopping the Mantis Adjuchas' bladed arms as they crashed into his own arm, unable to pierce his hierro.
He was going to fire the cero at the menos right then but hearing the other menos behind him, he pushed the adjuchas back and sonidoed upwards. As the menos' cero fired beneath him, he fired his own cero at the praying mantis.
What to do next? I could take them out one-by-one, but that's too dangerous... His eyes wandered over to his fraccion, and he got an idea.
I'm such a hypocrite... he thought as he sonidoed down, grabbed her, and deposited her right next to the baited stone before sonidoing back up into the air.
"Ethan!!! Why did - oohhhh crap..." the color drained from Khalee's face as she realized that she was in the midst of the battlefield, in full view of the menos. She whimpered as she drew her sword, nervously turning to face the hollows.

Deathsye appeared on top of a tall Dune looking down at the fight and growled, "Those...Animals...." he said drawing his dark blue-black bladed No-Daichi and tried to get a bead on where his stone was located, "Where is it... I can destroy it if I can find it." he said softly.

It only got worse. The powerfull hollow just seemed to keep coming. With Ethan's reaping, the small hollow soon outnumbered the menos, but there were still vast hordes of them. As the adjucas began to surround the two, the ground started to shake. The adjucas stopped in their tracks, in what seemed like fear. The shaking stopped. Just then, a giant leviathen beast erupted from the sand, directly under Ethan, his mouth wide agape to swollow him hole!
Also, a adjucas with no outstanding features other than it's skin was blue, and that it had claws, came up behind Kahlee! It fired a bala blast from within mere yards, aimed right at the back of her head! Spindel watched in hilartiy at all of the chaos he had created with one little stone. This was a complete success! Now, he just had to go record it and make extra notes. There was no need to watch this any more. He cut the connection with his spying beetle hollow, tending to his own needs. The beetle hollow flew off slowly, back to the palace. It flew low, avoiding the ceros and balas that were flying rapdily through the air!

Ethan sonidoed again, higher up in the air. What the hell?!? He stared down in surprise at the beast. He had never seen a menos like it.
He saw the blue adjuchas fire its bala. "Khalee!" He sonidoed behind her and blocked the bala with his own body. The force made him stumble forward and ripped another hole in the back of his jacket.
"Ethan... why'd you drop me off here, in the middle of the fight?!" Khalee asked, nearly hysterical. She deflected a cero with her sword.
"I had a plan, and it didn't work!" Ethan said as he drew his sword, the blade scraping against the sheath with a sinister-sounding noise. With one swift motion he fired a bala towards the adjuchas with his sword, making a crescent wave that cut the adjuchas in half from mask to tail.
He grabbed Khalee with his free hand and threw her away from the battle. He then turned back to the menos. "Come on! Reiatsu equals food, right?" He allowed some of his own reiatsu to flood the area.

The man-hollow was cut in half, but the leviathen still remained. It turned it's sights to Ethan and Kahlee. Ehtan's riatsu was like an irresistable aroma, powerful and full of flavor! The small hollows were content with just this sample, and went on their merry way back to the forest, and whatever hole they crawled from. But, The adjucas still remained. There were seven of them left, including the giant leviathen hollow. Ethan had only encouraged them more, letting them sniff the sweet scent of his great power! The leviathen struck first, diving once more toward the two, it's mouth wide open to devour them!

After being thrown away from the battle by Ethan, Khalee hit the ground a good fifty yards away and kicked up a cloud of sand. "Owwwwww...." She groaned as she stood up in a small crater and stumbled after shaking the sand out of her hair. She bent down and picked her sword back up. "Ethan I think you broke something..."
Ethan used his sword to jam the mouth of the Leviathan hollow before sonidoing towards it and planting a solid kick in its mask, dislodging his sword and making it fall backwards onto the sand. He landed lightly and caught his sword.
Then he did something very strange. He tossed his sword into his right hand before bringing the blade down on his left arm and cut off his hand and half of his forearm. A pained gasp escaped his mouth.
He let his severed hand drop down into the sand before concealing his reiatsu and sonidoing away. The severed appendage continued to emit reiatsu, and also soaked the sand around it in blood.
Ethan appeared half way in between Khalee and the hollows, around 25 yards away from the group of menos. He stabbed his sword into the sand and leaned on it, breathing heavily. He ran the palm of his hand down the blade and cut it open, spilling more blood on the sand.

(Remember, you're the primera. Feel free to whoop @$$. This isn't a real fight, anyways.)
Ethan's arm served as a satisfying meal to the leviathen, but there were still six other hungry adjucas wanting to feast! Two of them surrounded Ethan, one was a minitaur hollow with a bull's face for a mask, and the other looked exactly like a griffon, except twith a white mask of course. They both fired ceros at Ethan, attempting to smash his body between the attacks!
Another adjucas, which resembled a giant mole, except with claws that dwarfed it's own body, emerged from the sand behind Kahlee! It swung a giant claw straight at her! But, those two weren't the only ones who had caught the adjucas' attention. Deathsye had been spotted! A bird-man like hollow hovered above teh battelfield, and had spotted the espada. It dived toward him, sending several bala blasts flying towards him!

While Ethan's severed left hand was going down the Leviathan's throat, a series of catalyzed chemical reactions began to take place. The end result of said reactions was that a finger detached from the hand, and detonated inside the menos' neck, blowing its head clean off from the inside.
As the menos fell over with a smoldering hole where its head used to be, Ethan's hand fell onto the sands, unscathed except for a missing middle finger. It was still dripping blood and emitting reiatsu as it propped itself up on the remaining fingers and began to scuttle to and fro blindly like a mutated spider.
Khalee let out a scream as she turned around and blocked the mole's claws just in time. The force of the menos pushed her down to a squatting position, barely able to hold off the claws with both hands on her sword.
"Khalee!" Ethan sonidoed to her side, dodging the two attacking Menos' ceros. Hopefully they hit each other but he didn't have time to check. He appeared beside his fraccion and severed both the menos' hands with his sword. Damn it... I missed. I meant to cut its arms and mask off, not its hands! A second strike cut the mole's torso in half.
"E-Ethan... you're missing a hand..." Khalee said as she turned and looked at him, only to see a clean-cut stump where his left hand used to be. She didn't know what else to say.
"Yeah, I noticed." He stabbed his sword into the ground again and raised his right hand. A high-pitched whooshing sound could be heard as a cero began charging up. It appeared to be a regular cero at first but quickly turned green and quintupled in size. It began to emit a blinding green-white light after three seconds. His left hand began frantically digging a hole with its fingers and buried itself under the sand.
"Gran... rey Cero." He said calmly as the cero exploded off his hand towards the menos with an electrical crackling, traveling at insane speeds. Due to his cero's relatively short charging time most of the menos didn't have the time to react. When they first saw the light, they were as good as dead.
