In accordance with a new rule implemented, I'm working on a rough system for the RP to keep the posts fair and even for everyone without slowing it down ridiculously. Any remarks can be made on the sticky in the main forum.

1: If a player is absent for any less than a week, do not constantly RP with one or two other players and ignore the other character without permission from the player.

2: If a character addresses another character directly, or replies to one, the other must respond, whether or not the player is currently active.

3: In the event that there are players online at the same time, but one or more members of the RP are absent.
If the absent player's character is a current member of a conversation or action, such as a battle, the RP cannot continue simply by ignoring the character or otherwise incapacitating them without permission from the person.
If the absent player's character is not a current member of a conversation or action, such as a battle, the RP may continue. Any characters currently RPing with said-absent character must wait for the other to reply and may not just disappear from their current situation just to RP with someone online.

These are all simply rules I've made that are based on the idea that we all respect one another and our ability to play. I'm also trying to keep it fun for everyone, even if it seems to get boring at times when everyone else is online and you want to RP, but you can't because of these rules.
I've been in too many RPs where someone will be absent for just a day or two because of real life, and when they return there are three or more pages of RP to read simply because people got online and ignored the absent character for their own benefit. I think it's highly unfair to do that.
Just because we're online and want to RP does not mean we should just ignore others in the RP. There are always the options of starting a private RP in a private message to continue the story on your own time with just your characters, or just discussing or doing other things while waiting.
If anyone has any issues with these rules, contact me or post it and they will be addressed. I'm not trying to suck the fun out of it, but make it fairer and a more even system. I am fully aware it may get boring at times waiting, but I consider that a small sacrifice in order to let everyone in on the RP without hurting feelings or creating confusing situations. It makes no sense for a previously-talkative character to suddenly fall silent in a conversation, or a fighting character to abruptly just disappear from the fight for some weak reason, just because they were inconvenient for others.
Sorry for the rant, I just want to make my position clear. If anyone has improvements, again, please post or contact me. I want to make this fair and even, so I want input from the members.

I completely agree with you in truth, and have nothing to add. All we have to do is wait for more people to come online so we can branch off a little more.
