Classroom B122 is host to the different kind of science classes offered at Takaba Academy. Those classes are biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, geology, and engineering. Science classes are not required at Takaba Academy, but they are optional, as electives. The science teacher is Shohei Kikkawa.

Standing behind the island counter in front of the biology class, Shohei Kikkawa cast his gaze over the students. Class was near the starting time, and there were at last three students not present. He frowned and tapped the fingers of one hand against the counter. The analog clock near the ceiling at the back of the room ticked the seconds away silently, and he stared at it impatiently, ready to begin class.

Nathaniel was going to be late for his first biology class, which was the last thing he wanted. Jogging down the hall, he turned a corner and saw the room in which his class was to be had.
Opening the door, he stood in the in the doorway, leaning against it, trying to catch his breath. "I'm... Here..." he panted

Arriving just before class started, Yasutaka's way into the biology classroom was blocked by a short, panting fellow. He stopped, standing behind the guy silently for a few minutes, face unreadable. After studying the small teen for a few moments, he asked, "What's your name?"
Shohei didn't hear or notice the students in the doorway. He simply concentrated on the clock, willing time to move faster. Only a minute left before class started... He drummed his fingers faster.

Nathaniel jumped a bit at the voice behind him, and he turned around, raising his eyebrows in surprise. This guy was pretty big... And a little scary. "N-Nathaniel James?" he answered, it sounding more like a question than a statement.

Yasutaka pause for a moment, chewing over some thought in his head before responding. He moved slightly and spoke, "Nice a**, Nattie." As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he gave the shortie's butt a firm smack. Without giving the guy time to respond, he brushed past the tiny teen and found an empty table near the back of the room. In fact, there didn't seem to be any other seats in the classroom. Dropping himself into the chair, Yasutaka rested his chin in one hand and leaned on his elbow, staring at the teacher at front of the class.

Nathaniel wasn't able to move at first, and just stared dumbfoundly at the tall boy, his jaw handing open stupidly. That was highly innappropriate!!! Face turning red, he covered the violated body part with his hands, and turned around, so that he didn't have his back to the class, face still bright red.

The bell rang loudly, and Shohei straightened up, glancing at the doorway with the intent of closing the door. To his vexation, there was a student standing there as though dumbstruck, holding his own a** and gaping like a red faced fish. "AHEM," the teacher coughed loudly into his fist, giving the kid a glare that screamed 'sit your a** down, kid.'

Nathaniel blushed even deeper, before running over to the only avaliable seat, which to his dismay, was right next to the pervert who had just violated his personal space in front of the whole class. Sitting down, he scooted his chair as far away from the other boy as possible, not looking at him, and blushing profusely.

Yasutaka stared at the red faced Nattie out of the corner of his eye for a moment, but as the teacher cleared his throat, he flicked his gaze back to the front of the room and sat, listening.
"Alright, students, settle down." The volume of the chatter and giggling at the last straggler lessened, but not completely. "I said SHUT UP." Shohei barked loudly. The class complied. Satisfied, he crossed his arms. "This is biology. I am your teacher, Kikkawa-sensei. You don't need to know my first name, because you'll never have cause to use it. Ever." He stared pointedly at all the students, as though his laser beam glare would deter anybody who would try and get too familiar with their teacher.
Pulling a potted plant out from its obscured place behind the counter, he set it down on the black counter top with a firm tap. "We will be beginning the curriculum for this year with plants." He spent a few minutes launching into an avid speech about the marvels of the flora inhabiting the world, getting a little carried away.
Kikkawa-sensei realized he'd strayed and stopped. "Anyway, your first assignment will be this: I will give each of you a plant. You will keep it in your dorm rooms and take care of it. The plant will teach you all you need to know on the topic at hand this week." He glared as murmurs of protest started up and quickly died down. "And for you who can't grasp the lessons the humble plant has to whisper to you, use your textbooks. I'll give them out after roll call." Kikkawa proceeded to call out the students names, one by one, checking who was there and who wasn't.

Goosey, Goosey Gander...  Damien was in his first class and sighed. His teacher seemed like a hard a**. That would only make class more painful to get through. He sighed softly as he listened to the assignment. Taking care of a plant? Easy. Damien used to take care of his mother's garden while she was out of town. It was a personal hobby of his. A small smile slipped onto his lips as he thought how easy his first assignment would be. He listened to his teacher calling out. When he heard his name, he spoke. "Present." Damien said in a soft voice before shifting his eyes to the board to read what was on it. ...Whither Shall I Wander?

Nathaniel was able to calm himself a bit while the teacher talked. He was so embarrassed! All the other students are going to think of him as the guy who got his butt slapped on the first day by some giant, weird creeper guy, that he now had to sit next to. How much worse could this day get?
Oh, he spoke too soon. Take care of a plant? He could barely take care of himself, or keep his dorm room clean, so how was he going to take care of a plant? It would be dead in a week if he had to take care of it...

As the teacher called roll, Yasutaka let his eyes slide all over the classroom. The place was nice, filled two person lab tables. And they were towards the back of the room, which meant...
After a moment, he spoke quietly to Nathaniel. "Hey... See that guy?" He gestured wit his eyes to the silver haired teen sitting a row up and over from them.

Nathaniel, who was inwardly griping about the plant thing, looked over at his table mate as if he hand just slapped him. What could this guy want now?
When he gestured to the silver haired student, he raised an eyebrow, cocking his head to the side. "What about him?"

Yasutaka kept his face as deadpan as usual, though inside he was chuckling a little in anticipation. "He's got a nice a**, too." The tall teen said bluntly. He knew he didn't really need to say it, but this shortie was so easily flustered; It was quite entertaining.
