First goto your desktop and right click, make shure you are not clicking on any icon. selecet "Proprties"
Next press the "settings" tab on the top right.
near the bottom left you will see a knob. move it to around 1024 x 768 and press "OK" your computer will take time to load the new resolution and will then ask if you want to keep the new settings. say "yes" and wala done
