This poll is to see which gaming session I'll try to develop for the guild. I will do them all so you can try those you haven't yet but I'm going to try the basic types first.

I like those ideas. I am up for any type of rp, cuz I always have a character that I can work with.

I have to agree with that, cuz I love to create a new character. I have all types but most are for table top. I am still working on tranfering them to online.

I love fantasy it's just to many authors Forget that most people can't pass their standards for good so most of us would fall into the decadent and selfish Evil group. I'm very fond of the saying "I would rather be right than good" To many things we regret where done for good reasons. It is not That I don't like to do good things it's that I do them under my own terms not out of some senseless need to prove I'm a good guy. Today many works of literature preach self sacrifice to the greater good. If you don't value yourself how can you value others. If I chose to die for a cause it will be because it means more to me than my life not because some ordered me, asked me, or pushed me in to it. It may not be PC or religious to think like this but it's the way I have always felt and to many fantasy stories glorify people who throw away there lives with out thought of there own worth.

Ah. Long rant.

I get what your saying, but often times what the people are throwing their lives away for *is* the greater good. And they usually only die in the end, causing sadness for their readers and yadda yadda yadda.

The greater good is a lie without a sense of self worth.

Yeah, but in some stories the hero doesn't have a sense of self-worth. Working for the greater good helps them realize how important life is. And then when they realize that they carry the world's deadliest virus and the only way to stop it is to die before it spreads, then they sacrifice themselves for the greater good.

And I'm greater at being good at my secret stuff.

How often do you think Heros in the ancient stories did what they did for the Greater Good? More often than not the reason came after their actions not the other way around. You have to have a personal reason for doing something not be given a reason by the group is all I'm saying. You must value the reason on a personal level. To many bad things where done for good reasons. If the group decides what is good and bad then a person becomes slave to the people. That is why I say I would rather be wright than Good. The US today has had the values it was founded on turned on its head. It use to be if you where productive you were rewarded now if your productive you are expected to sacrifice your work to those who will not work. The US census has prof that 58% of people who are welfare can work but will not. If you need help is on thing but to drain the system just because you don't want to work is another. You may wander what this has to with the greater good? it has a lot if your one of the ones paying the bill. They are teaching the children of today this is the path to equality, this self sacrifice doctrine. It is the path to ruin.

Take the story of Robin Hood. The original story gos he stole from the thieving rich and returned it to the working poor. Today the fare share vultures are robbing the Productive, Job making and innovating rich and giving it to the lazy non-productive leeching poor. Do you see how this is wrong. This same practice has caused nothing but suffering in nations who have tried it. It is the path of self sacrifice.

Like I have said If I die for a cause it will be one I believe in for my own reasons and it may or may not be for some greater good. My life, My choice. That is all I want. The right as a living thinking Being who knows what true evil is so the powers of this world can save their breath I'm not Buying it.
