Personality
Kylen is a quiet kid, preferring to spend time writing poetry rather than talking, sometimes getting creative in his attempts at even momentary solitude. Despite his loner attitude, however, he is often seen listening to a friend, occasionally putting in a comment or two.
Kylen's favorite passtime, as mentioned earlier, is writing poetry, sometimes about himself, but he also writes about others. He is a generous soul, and is easily guilted into doing something for someone else, though he does most things for friends for no other reason than that they are his friend. He has a nervous tick of twirling his fingers in the air.
Kylen finds it difficult to make friends, but is extremely loyal. He values nothing more than friendship, and will do most anything to ensure that he doesn't loose someone he considers a friend.
Kylen is very slow to anger, and will rarely show such anger in anything but a poem that he will usually proceed to hide, but the one exception is if it involves someone he cares about being hurt. His default reaction to trouble that won't affect anyone other than himself is to shrink away and attempt to avoid any violence.

History
Kylen grew up in a small town in Alabama, but never had much of a tie to it. Most of his religious family thought of him as evil for having the strange ability to freeze things with his mind. His parents put him up for adoption soon after his powers manifested themselves, claiming that they were "unprepared to take care of a child with these kinds of special needs". His abilities continued to separate himself from every family that he was paired with, though his quiet personality didn't help him much. His final family experienced a fright when their new charge's abilities resulted in the explosion of a water pipe, causing the guilt ridden and frightened Kylen to run away. He didn't spend much time before he was directed to Murmuring Pines. He's still not sure what he'll do once this temporary bed is no longer available.

ABILITIES
Kylen is a cryokenetic that is highly effected by his abilities. The air around him is constantly a lower temperature than anywhere else, so he wears winter clothes covering most of his body. His cryokenesis works like this due to a genetic defect that effects his mind, and not from some kind of great overpowered ability, however. This defect causes him to be constantly and uncontrollably using his abilities.

Basic Info
His name and age concern me; 17 is two years too old for him to start out as a New Recruit and we have a system here that everyone starts off from scratch so there's never any growth that gets skipped or people starting earlier than others. The age a New Recruit is allowed to be is between 8-15, which should be more than enough time to earn the necessary badges and become a Psycadet. The name is a concern because, unless I'm mistaken, it would be said as "Chris". In writing, this wouldn't cause confusion with Kristel's nickname "Chris" but if we were to imagine them speaking, verbally, it would cause confusion.
Also, it doesn't say if his hair is naturally blue or not so I'll ask that here. Is it? Because it would have to be dyed, as this is set in some form of reality.
Personality
The poetry's fine, the generous and guilty/gullible nature seems to work and he seems to be a fairly introverted individual. That's fine but I want to see how he is under various emotions; how does he react when sad? Angry? How about positively elated?
History
I'm antsy on religious family's but I understand he doesn't seem to stay with them for long so it might not be too big of a deal. However, in the States, there aren't actually Orphanages anymore but a Foster Care system where he would be put in with Foster Families or a Group Home with Social Services.
Considering that this mystery event is his driving force to bring him to the camp, I would be more comfortable if it were known since it would be let out into the open fairly early anyway. Also, as it's a Summer Camp, what would he do when the Summer ends?
Abilities
It seems he has limited or no control over his abilities; perfect, as most New Recruits have a single power that is, essentially, on the fritz because they don't know its true nature or how to use it. However, I'm not sure how him wearing a coat would affect other people's temperature when around him.
A genetic defect? I would very much like to have this elaborated on as I'm confused.
I feel like if he has a natural talent for making things out of ice [unless you mean he is physically carving them and not creating them] then he would have better control over his own temperature.
