The Galactic Core Region is, as the name implies, at the geographic center of the Magi Galaxy. More importantly, the Core is the axis on which the rest of the galaxy turns. It is here that the Ryuusei government is based. The Core boasts the most advanced planets in the known galaxy and some of the most sophisticated legal and social systems; at the same time, the government keeps a tight hold on the citizenry with strict laws and steep taxes. The Core has remained peaceful for a full century now, but how much longer will the current peace last?

The planet Galatea is the largest inhabited planet in the Galactic Core Region and it is the capital of the Ryuusei Republic, the ruling government of the galaxy. Half of the planet is covered by densely-packed 50+ story skyscrapers that form one massive city. The city is divided into commercial and residential districts in a grid-like pattern. Hard-working executives and time-pressed workers do their desk-jobs by day, while party-loving socialites roam about the walking platforms and joyride in speeder cars.
The Ryuusei Republic Senate is on its own island in the midst of Galatea's largest ocean. Government citadel buildings stand in the center of a massive military bulwark, making the government heart nigh impregnable. In addition, the island is accessible only to military-grade naval vessels and fighter craft, and only the most proven soldiers are allowed inside the citadel to protect the Senators.
While Ryuusei is a republic by name, in practice it is more like an aristocracy, as there are only 20 senators, who do not proportionately represent their respecting corners of the galaxy and enjoy lives of great luxury and ease.

Acastus is a dry, barren planet covered with desert and frequent sandstorms. However, at the edges of the deserts are mountain ranges formed by the magma underneath. While few of the volcanoes ever erupt, the heat creates hot springs on the surface. The people of this planet harness the hot spring water in order to live.
They do not live on the arid surface, however. Instead, they live in a paradise in the sky, in elaborate floating terraces that provide shelter from sun, wind and sand. The water from the springs is collected in shipping units and then flown over to the sky structures. Most of the buildings are residential, as this is a popular planet for retirees or as a relaxation spa for the rich. The spring water also makes it easy to form excellent swimming pools.

Serapis boasts the most advanced shipyards in the galaxy. Most of these innumerable shipyards are actually in orbit around the planet, forming a thick shell of activity. To approaching ships, the planet appears to be a single dome of metal, with flickering, moving lights; only upon closer inspection do the spacecraft and manufacturing plants distinguishable.
The Ryuusei government pays several major corporations to produce its military craft, most of which are produced at Serapis or from its twin moons. The materials for the ships can actually be found from the planet itself; the mountainous surface is strewn with mining operations to provide materials for the shipyards.
The climate on Serapis is relatively fair, although water is somewhat scarce. There is no agriculture on the planet, and so food must be imported from the Caspar sector.
