Now that you know Gaia towns exist some of you may wonder... How do I get in? Well that is what I am here for. Our story starts with a simple click of the map button next to the forum button.
You will be taken to the nice town of
Barton. Here you will board the train station
(If you can't find it click the train station to the left). Once there you will be able to move around and interact with the NPC
(non playable charters). It may be a good Idea to walk around by clicking where you want to go and let your avatar to all the work for you. To talk to a NPC click on the charter you want to talk to and if you are close enough you will begin a talk with the NPC. All the NPCs talk about valuable things that you should at least read once. Also do not forget to read the Town directory on the bottom of the town. It will tell you the basic's of how to get around. If you want to sit down click on the symbol of the man to sit down (
SAMPLE) . Remember that when you sit you will not be able to walk around until you click again to make your avatar to walk again.
Thou the NPC's are nice people staying there with them kind of gets boring right? Now if you want to meet and walk around with other gaians click the navigate button on the top of you screen
(Sample to the right) an a large map should appear, but if it doesn't take your time, some days it is slow
(To see full version click on sample to left) now click on an area you would like to go, for your first time I wouldn't recommend you go to anywhere near 001000 because this town is always full of lag due to the large amount of people in it. No once you find an area the looks ok, click on it. Now another map should pop up (
SAMPLE) now once you click on an area you will be taken to another load screen and then once it is done you will be in the selected area! Now when you are here you may get the chance to walk around and talk to other gaians. How do you talk? Simple, near the bottom left of your screen there is a white bar, now doesn't it look like it could have a use? its obvious is it not? it is a chat box bar! Type what you want and press enter and wala your avi will have a speech bubble above his head! Now this is nifty! But still there seams like there still is not much to do in towns, but wait there is more!
To start the proces to get your house, start by going to the
Aekea Housing Commission. Once there get your house. If you dont know how, click on "homes". A window like
this shouls appear. Once you decide wich one you like click on it. A window like
this should appear, click "yes". After that click on "Town Permits". A window like
this should appear. Click yes like you did with the house. Once you have done that go into GAIA Towns found in
| Barton Town |. This part may take some time, find a vacent sign (see pic to the left). Some areas will not have signs because they are "reserved" and a sign will not appear unless you are in the friend list of the person who reserved the town, Once you find one, stand next to it then click on the sign. After you do so a house will apear and ask if you want to move in, click "move in" and wala, your house will apear

For the next part you will haft to go find old man Logan. But where is this old man? he can be found
here at his old fishing shack. Why go to the fishing shack? for some reason that old man came across a bug catching net, most likely form his young days. Now he dose want to get rid of it he is not going to give it for free! First click on the net (
) and he will say he wants 100g. If you are new you may thing 100g is lots but I made more than that making this FAQ. So click on the buy and he will have said you bought it. If you want you can equip it to your avi but you don’t haft to. now what, I am down 100g and nothing but a choice to where a net? Now you must go back into towns. I am certain you have seen the bugs wandering around. It is almost as easy as clicking on the bugs to get them, infact that’s all you haft to do. But first you must use the net. To do this is very simple, click on the net tab that is yellow on the bottom right hand of your screen to turn the blue icon yellow (
Before and
After) Now what? You have turned my lovely blue icon to an ugly yellow? All you must do now is get next to a bug and click, watch as your net scoops them up. Keep an eye on the corner above the icon on the bottom right. It shows how many bugs you have (Have/Max).
Oh , NO! I have a full net and they have not yet gone to my inventory! Do not worry because they do not go into your inventory till you talk to bogie in area 5 of any town (the center one). Once you see the cute little guy who hates the taste of bugs because Lanzer cursed him with taste and a gage reflex, he will send them to your inventory and look, you have no bugs in your net, you are free to go catch some more!
To sum it up, Gaia towns is a place where you can do what ever you feel like, if it is chasseing butterflies, to chatting it up with friends or new people you met a minute ago it is what ever you want to make it. Also try your best to make shure other users are having fun!
