Well. I was the one going all "Haha, we need a Final Fantasy subforum... just cuz"
So. Let's discuss something in here. What's YOUR favorite Final Fantasy Game.
Mine is 7. The characters and storyline are just great. But I also really enjoy playing 9. Even though just about everybody hates it for the different character designs, It has so many side quests and games in it that keep me entertained for HOURS.
So ya. I suck at bringing s**t up. Please don't come in and post like "OMG I LIKE FF>insert number here< CUZ >insert character name here< IZ SOOOOOOOooooo HAWT!!! LOZZLE!!"

Y'know, my favorite used to be FFX, because I just loved the story, most of the characters, and the environment as well. I also really loved the plot twist and the whole sphere grid system, but I think I may be one of the only ones to think that about the sphere grid. Even though you're able to customize any character to have whatever attributes you'd like, I guess people just don't understand it well enough. =/
But since starting a new game of FFIX, I realize how much I really love it. It's an amazing game, and I don't give a s**t about what anyone says. It really is amazing. The characters are so great. Zidane is light-hearted and optimistic, not to mention extremely selfless and a wonderful friend to just about everyone in the game. Dagger is kind and naive. She has courage and I admire her character a lot for what she goes through just to try and help her mother, who obviously didn't care nearly as much for her. Kuja. ... Need I say more? He's so poetic and yes, evil. He changes a lot through the game, though. You can tell. He's probably my favorite character, followed very closely by Zidane. And these aren't the only characters I love. I love nearly all of them. They're all different, they all have a different outlook on life, and they all have their own story to tell.
Basically, this was an extremely underrated game, in my opinion, but if more people gave it a chance and looked past the character designes, they'd realize just how amazing it is, too.
Yeah... I have no life and typed up all that crap about a game. =/

funny, i have ffvii - ffxi but i've only played a bit of vii, all of x, and some of x-2. i don't think i even got 2o minutes into any of the other games. and ... *checks memory card* ... yup, only at shinra hq in ffvii... and i refuse to play ffxi, because i hate mmorpgs. i've had these games for a while too... maybe i'll start playing them again.
and, silvermoonyoukai, i think that's cool how you can type so much about a game that deserves recognition. : 3 kind of like a game reviewer. much respect for that.

The best is FFVII all the way. The stories are good, characters are sexy...everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except Aeris.......................

Shuichi X Chiruki Except Aeris....................... I personally liked Aeris. What would happen to the storyline if she wan't there? Originally Square was going to have 3 characters. Cloud, Barret and Aeris. Tifa was the last charcter to be added. Almost last minute.
I hated Tifa. x.x

Anyway... My favorite games so far have been 7 and 10. 7 had such a great storyline, great characters, great... everything. The side games were so much fun, too.
FFX also had a great storyline, but I would have liked for it to be more interactive than, as I like to call it, "one giant movie where you can make the main character go where the director tells you."

I'm the outcast, my favorite is VIII. I'm a diehard romantic, but other than that, VIII was the first Final Fantasy game that kept my interest for an extended period of time. XD I'm very slow with games, it took me two years to beat Kingdom Hearts though only 26hours in total, I'm just slow. But when I had the time this summer I played VIII nonstop because the story intrigued me so much. The whole SEED thing I just loved and how you lost and gained points, XD and how you were paid on your level. The character designs are gorgeous, oh how I wished they had voices, but it's just such a vivid story. I will always love VIII, no matter what biggrin . As for my favorite characters in VIII... hmmm... I'm a big Irvine fan myself XD, and Squall of course. I actually don't mind Rinoa, people say she's clingy and weak but I love the fact she's not the typical heroine. Zell makes me laugh like a monkey XD.
I have to give X and VII credit though, I got to around 13hours in X before Seymour just pissed me off when I couldn't beat him XD, and VII was taken away from me after I got passed the Nibelheim (or however you spell it) flashback, lol. Though from everything I know about VII, especially with AC, my favorite character hands down is Aeris, foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrr <33333333.

Aww, carcer, you're not an outcast. I actually like FFVIII. It was the first Final Fantasy I ever played. I remember hating it at first, only because my brother liked it. But then I actually played it for myself and I just fell in love with it, with Final Fantasy, and with all RPGs. Now I'm an ultra huge Final Fantasy fan because of VIII.
And yeah... I don't like Rinoa. XP She annoys me a lot, but then, so does Squall. He changes so quickly. >< I love Selphie, though. =D She's so cheerful and cute and optimistic. XD

xd FFX was my first, mainly because I just got my new PS2 and Riku was pissing me of fin Kingdom Hearts because he kept beating me at the race so I rented FFX and was like *.*... so... PRETTY!... and then I bought it xd . But then I tried VIX which I didn't really like, XD though I named ViVi, Ballet, which amused me for some reason. I got to the forest where some tree thing took someone... I dunno, but then I tried VII and liked it before it was taken from me. Then I saw art and stoof for VIII and immediately looked into it and bought it and beat the first disc all by myself! I've never done that without a guide or anything, it was my big landmark step. But I can't beat Seifer's little goons at the town x.x... I get so close and them BLAAAAAAAAH...
I wub Irvine. XD, he makes me happy. Irvine x Selphie forevahhhh.

FFX was my fav game because that is what got me into the FF series and after I played FFVII and FFIX I decided that I love all 3 of the games.. X-2 was alright but.. X was just far better. FFVIII was very good, I really liked the plot line to it, the who Gardens and SeeD thing.. it was awesome.. though I realize that in FFVII there are SOLDIERS and what not, kinda like SeeDs in FFVIII.
I've been planning on playing FFVII soon and after watching FFVII:Advent Children, I want to play it even more now. I really thought that movie was totally and utterly awesome and yes it does take place after the game since Aeries is dead in the movie. I do know enough about FFVII to understand who is who in the movie.. though I forgot names at times when someone new showed up.
And BTW.. I thought Reno was effing Hawt in that movie! heart so was Cloud.. each time I saw him I thought of Gackt with blonde hair, sweatdrop

Ugh. X-2. I don't even like that game at all. I played it and beat it, but only because I had nothing to do on my winter break two years ago. D= They should have recalled it and burned every single copy ever made. The saddest thing is I was actually looking forward to the game before it came out, and I swear, I was the first person in my town to even purchase it and everything. It broke my heart, man. =/
Advent Children... I saw that before I even played VII, which is funny because I had absolutely no trouble following anything at all in the movie. surprised After that I played VII and beat it in about a week. I really liked that game a lot, but I have to stick by my FFIX, because I've just fallen in love with all the characters. Even though I totally love Kadaj. He's so damn nuts, how could you not? I always love the crazy ones. XD Plus I'm a huge Yuffie fan. She doesn't get enough credit. =/ Just because she steals your materia. I mean, you get it back! Who the hell cares? She's a strong character with a high energy and sarcastic personality. I think that's pretty awesome.
Final Fantasy. You cause so much controversy in my life! gonk
