Teruko stared at her wavering reflection in golden brown broth. The smell of beef rose up and filled her nostrils causing her stomach to let out a loud growl. "Oh yeah..." She could feel her mouth start to salivate. "Itadakimasu!" She said to Teuchi, the owner of Ichiraku Ramen Bar. Teruko picked up a clump of noodles with her chopsticks and shoveled it in her mouth.

Satoshi walked by the Ramen stand, his target was already there inhaling...eating ramen. That was good. Satoshi took a seat next to him, thankfully it was the only one available, and would give him a reason to have a conversation with the blond.

"What would you like to eat and drink, sir?" Ayame asked.

"Beef ramen with a glass of tea, please," Satoshi had to make sure not to act like he normally would, or order his usual...AKA, something with tomatoes in it or on the side. When Ayame began pouring his tea, Satoshi commented loud enough for the ninja sitting next to him to hear. "I'm rather new here so it took me a while to find this place. I heard it was the best ramen in the world," Satoshi wasn't sure if the blond heard him over his loud slirping.

Ayame and her father blushed with embarassment. "You're so kind. I hope you still think it's the best after you try some."

"I was told by someone who heard it from a blond ninja who eats here all the time." Satoshi saw the boy's head tilt up a bit out of the corne of his eye. "I just hope that I can find a suitable inn to stay at. This village is so big. If only I had an escort."

The young ninja set his bowl of ramen down and whiped the small speckles of broth off his mouth with his sleeve. "If it's all right, I'll be your escort," he said, turning to Satoshi. He tried not to focus on the man's eyes. They looked...so much like Sasuke's. It kinda made him sad. "My name is Uzumaki Naruto, the person who you were just talking about." Naruto smiled at the stranger.

Satoshi forced a smile. He really wished he wasn't here doing this. Orochimaru was so going to get an earful when he returned to Oto. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Naruto-san. My name is Modoro Satoshi."

Not long after Satoshi was served his ramen, Naruto began blabbing about himself, the missions he's gone on, the people most important to him. A few things cought Satoshi's intrest, such as when Naruto talked about how he and his friends rescued Kakashi, who dissapeared on a mission. Also that it was Sakura and one other who defeated Sasori. Orochimaru left out that little detail. Still, the rest was irrevilant to him. Satoshi tried not to sigh. This was going to be a long mission.

Naruto's attention suddenly turned to Satoshi. "So whacha’ doing here, anyway? On a mission? What's Cloud like? What rank are you?"

"I'm a genin on vacation. It was suggested that I come here because of the nice climate and atmosphere. Cloud is...nice, when you're not sent out on lots of missions, one right after the other. The mountains are peaceful and the view is magnificent."

(could you put it in past tence, by any chance? I sometimes get confused when I'm reading one tense, then the other.)

Naruto turned and gave her a broad grin. "Sakura-chan! This is Satoshi. He's on vacation from the land of Lightning. I offered to show him around the village. AND HE LIKES ICHIRAKU'S RAMEN!" Naruto made a weird face, but his voice held excitement.

"Sakura-san, right? Naruto talks a lot about you. It's a pleasure to meet finally meet you," Satoshi smiled. Though something about it seemed...off. Like on of Sai's smiles, but not quite as fake.

"Huh?" Naruto looked between her and Satoshi. Why was she looking at him like that? Oh well. "Sakura-chan, will you help me show him the village?"

"I would be honored if you did," Satoshi commented.

(You pretty much just add 'ed' to actions. Like She covered her hears when he yelled.)

Satoshi nodded while Naruto complained about her lack of trust in him. The two stood up to leave after paying for their food. "If possible, may we head over to an inn first so I can leave my bag?" Satoshi held up the stuffed bag.

"Sure thing! Uh...the inn is near the market district, right, Sakura-chan?" Naruto rubbed the back of his head. His absence from the village during his training with Jiraiya had made him forgetful of some of the less relavant places in the village.

The two followed after her. "So, you know what my rank is, what about you two?"

"Well, Sakura-chan is a chuunin and uh... You know, rank doesn't allways matter. You can't really measure true strength! And I'm pretty damn strong if I do say so myself," Naruto boasted with his hands behind his head in a prideful manner.

Satoshi could read the blond like a book. "So I take it your not very high on the scale?" 'Dumbass.'

"I WAS OFF TRAINING FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS!" Satoshi leaned away from him, hopping that he wouldn't go deff at Naruto's excuse. His eyebrow twitched. He could endure this. Being stuck with these two again meant nothing to him.
