Once again I am despairing of life due to an event that has occurred.
Now most people have a favourite family member, mine is my little cousin Alice an extremely sweet and pleasant girl and wholly innocent still at 13.... or so I thought.
Now I learn from the grapevine she has been shall we say copulating with her 14 year old boyfriend, for how long we don't know but we now do when one of our older cousins walked in on her... an awkward situation occurred no doubt.
As you can guess parents have been involved, they are forbidden to see each other and I made sure that he knows if I ever see him I will kill him - a little incentive, and Ive made known to her I don't want to see her at all ever again( that's how angry I am).
This world is getting more ******** up all the time and so to the topic at hand from this "experience", what the hell is wrong with children these days and do you think the media and everything else global in this world should stop using the SEX SELLS way of advertising because I believe this is one major part of the problem, influencing them 24/7 from birth.

Peer pressure, world pressure, advertising, media etc they all build up and eventually something breaks and its never the magazines and tv shows because nobody puts any pressure on them until something goes wrong. "Tween" aimed magazines and tv shows teach them to wear make-up, slutty fashions and that we're only judged on our appearance and behaviour. Which may be well ******** true in the end but you could give them a few more years of care-free childhood before they have to learn that. It's also the fact we have to grow up faster than any previous generation, and at that age you're not equipped to deal with it all. That being said if you're the one buying your child a bratz doll or the grown-up style clothing, granting mobile phones before highschool, letting them watch whatever they want on tv and film and not keeping tabs on their internet usuage while they're under a certain age then you're just as much at fault. At the end of the day it should be about education over anything else. Parents leave it up to schools, schools can't provide everything and the media is only an influence. Not a bullet in a gun. I can understand you're mad but maybe you handled it a little over the top. In my experience telling someone they can't do something or see someone only gives them a hunger for it. I hope she was at least sat down and given the chance to have a proper conversation about it rather than just being judged and yelled at. Because that could do more harm than good. I don't blame you for your reaction though, I would've freaked out too.

*sigh* Oh, ******** me.
Soryiu has a point. They may well love each other. Besides, sex really isn't bad. It's an important part of biological development, as well as being one of the many animalistic functions that humans perform. Like eating, pissing, and territorialism, it's a natural phenomena in humans.
...... Y'know what.... ******** it. You're making the situation out to be far, far worse than it actually is. They ********. Yeah, that's.... what people do. Especially at that age, if they can, they will. It's pretty much gonna happen. It's not that big of a deal. I mean, if she got pregnant, or contracted some disease, it'd be cause for concern, but if she didn't, then you're exacerbating the situation and you need to stop. Innocence has nothing to do with virginity. She's still the exact same person she was before she ******** someone, it's just that ever since the Victorian age we've had this horrible reaction of "Sex? What is this treachery?!" I'm sorry, but seriously, you're overreacting. Consider me the epitome of an unsavory society, but I'll consider you the epitome of a repressive one that teaches people to forget that they're animals and nothing more.
I also want to point out that your poll there makes you seem rather bigoted.

Yer yer I know Jacks I was extremely, extremely pissed off last night, I simply thought she was smarter than that and I truly feel no-matter how you look at it 13 is far too young, I am biased as I personally see Sex as the biggest evil the world, I can't stand it and just thinking about it sends chills through my body.
And say what you will we are forced to grow up and face realities at a younger age, sex does seem to be shown the greatest thing due to the way the world is, its shown in some context on TV, in magazines, billboards, I find getting rarer these days to find a movie without a sex scene in it, soon were going to see a new kids movie Bug Bunny does Dallas, aahh I'm in despair.
And yes I know the poll seems bigoted >.< I was attempting that affect.

This is difficult. I have the same bias as Akira, but I think she is entitled to be protective of her cousin. It's highly unlikely that they love each other, at that age distinguishing between love and infatuation is nigh impossible. On the other hand, you also have to take peer pressure into account. It may not have been her idea to get into all of this in the first place. It all depends on the situation, really. It seems like the best thing for you to do at this point is to begin to forgive and forget, there isn't much else you can do. Personally, though, the thought of preteens having sex is utterly ridiculous. It's sad, and it's pathetic. I don't condone it.
Also, this belongs in the rants forum, it will be moved in 24 hrs.

ok, let me give you guys a little background info I haven't discolsed yet but feel I need to right now. my "first time" was at 14 and if you look at it I was technically raped. so don't alwayse put the blame on the guys, look at the situation first and get your facts straight then decide who to blame.
also, I believe you owe me an apology for erasing my comment, that was athourity abuse. just because you dissagree with a post doesn't give you the right to alter it. only if it is an insult or is ment to harm. my statement was completely neutral and only a suggestion... in the end only you can choose what you do about it.

Me O.O no, I would never remove what a person wrote just because I may have disagreed with it, it was like that when I originally saw it so I don't even know what you had wrote there, I thought you'd simply quoted me for some reason.

Go into your local Wal-Mart. Go to the toy section. Find the baby dolls.
You'll see a lot of them that say "Fill me with water!" or "Feels/Acts like a real baby!"
They're training them. It's no longer a matter of just playing and being a kid.
They're training them for what they'll more than likely end up dealing with in 5-10 years.
When I was 13, I used to cyber (LOLOLOL, shut up. I know) but the actual thought of sex was just... idk. I can't really explain it.
I mean, I want to have kids some day. But I really don't like the idea of sex. :l

Pink - Thank you.
Soryiu - I don't believe children at that age can "love" like that at that age and even if she was the one who made the move at their age its still not right in my opinion, they're far too young.
Nyzz - I totally agree.
Fear - I know what you mean sex totally scares me.
LEG - sadly there was no chance of them sitting down and talking to them, I come from a very christian family, however my uncle and her father wouldn't be out of place in Alabama he is the most fanatical religious idiot I have ever known, no he shouted at her and kicked her out of the house, shes living at my mothers now for the moment.

Ultimately, I lost my virginity too young, too. But I don't really regret it. I don't see sex as this huge thing that most people do. And no, that doesn't make me a slut. I've only slept with one person. I don't honestly believe in love, no matter how old or young. So that whole factor is out. But blaming the media and magazines and peer pressure and the parents is kind of pointless. Who cares? I don't care if the person that murdered my father had an abusive dad. I don't. What's happened has happened.
Her life has been torn apart enough. I understand being upset with her, but you need to be there for her. Or she needs to have someone there for her.
