I just got back from No Brand this weekend up in Eau Claire, WI. I volunteered 10 hours so I could get in free, but volunteering also helped me understand a little more how to organize a convention. I especially tried to pay attention to how they set up the viewing rooms, since I'm in charge of Sci-Fi viewings this year. I need to make sure we're using either DVD players or a laptop, since I'd need different cords between the two for the projector.
Vendor room was nice and full except for Taeliac Studio, who couldn't make it. Other than that, I spent most of my time in the Video gaming room. They're panels didn't really interest me, except for the Youtube Poop panel, which made me not want to watch YP at all. I still had fun, though.
We had a couple of games of Apples to Apples that went on until 4;30am on Friday and Saturday nigh in the Geek.Kon room party, too. I got about 10 hours of sleep from Thursday to Sunday.
