The softshell turtles are found in Asia and the americas, as well as other continents and regions as well. They have soft heads with snorkel-noses that they poke out of the water with, a strong bite a soft, and a long craning neck that allows them to bite back when captured, behind the neck is a flexible, smooth, soft shell, and they also have well developed webbed feet and a long, smooth tail. Some only get two feet long while others get over 8 feet long! They are good eating, and are able to get to eating size easily. They will bask on emergent objects or on the banks, and can easily bury themselves in sand and mud with their head sticking out for ambushing prey.
