this is a big issue in America. What's your opinion?

Some facts about teen pregnancy:

The United States has the highest rates of teen pregnancy and births in the western industrialized world. Teen pregnancy costs the United States at least $7 billion annually.

Thirty-four percent of young women become pregnant at least once before they reach the age of 20 -- about 820,000 a year. Eight in ten of these teen pregnancies are unintended and 79 percent are to unmarried teens.

The younger a teenaged girl is when she has sex for the first time, the more likely she is to have had unwanted or non-voluntary sex. Close to four in ten girls who had first intercourse at 13 or 14 report it was either non-voluntary or unwanted.

Teen mothers are less likely to complete high school (only one-third receive a high school diploma) and only 1.5% have a college degree by age 30. Teen mothers are more likely to end up on welfare (nearly 80 percent of unmarried teen mothers end up on welfare).

The sons of teen mothers are 13 percent more likely to end up in prison while teen daughters are 22 percent more likely to become teen mothers themselves.
The children of teenage mothers have lower birth weights, are more likely to perform poorly in school, and are at greater risk of abuse and neglect.

Teenagers who have strong emotional attachments to their parents are much less likely to become sexually active at an early age and less likely to have a teen pregnancy.

Nearly half (46%) of all 15-19-year-olds in the United States have had sex at least once.[1]

Most young people have sex for the first time at about age 17, but do not marry until their middle or late 20s. This means that young adults are at risk of unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) for nearly a decade

A sexually active teen who does not use contraceptives has a 90% chance of becoming pregnant within a year

There were 214,750 abortions among 15-19-year-olds in 2002

Thirty-four states (as of August 2006) require that a minor seeking an abortion involve her parents in the decision

Six in 10 minors who have abortions do so with at least one parent's knowledge. The great majority of parents support their daughter's decision to have an abortion

Welll...I guess my standpoint on teen pregnancy is that it's basically their own fault. I would say let the chips fall where they may. They were the ones that jumped into bed with these guys, and didn't use a ******** condom, even though the Trojan company has constant ads for them both on the television and the radio. I think that it's just common sense to use such an item when you're a teen.

Now, I'm not saying that I would totally wait to have kids 'til I was like 50. But I'd at least wait until I was doing all right in the world. And I do not like those crazy a** die-hard Christian moms that are all "You got my daughter pregnant, now you've gotta marry her!" *holds shotgun to young man's back* That's just plain stupid.

But all in all, it's basically the persons' involved faults. But I pity them, basically ******** up their lives just to so they can satisfy one need for maybe a few hours. I suppose that's mostly it. And that's all I really have to say on the matter..

Can you tell I'm pro-choice?
