So now that the official statement as been released that David Slade will be directing Eclipse, what do you guys think Eclipse will be like??

David Slade is responsible for directing 30 Days of Night [as well as Hard Candy and movies I've never heard of that probably went straight to DVD...].

Is he going to be able to bring the darkness of the book to the screen? Is it going to ruin Eclipse and turn it into a tacky CGI riddled pg13 failure?

What do you guys think??

I've heard of 30 days of night but never got round to watching it.

I think he would catch the dark side of the story i mean because he done a horror, and i really do hope they do the fight sence perfect at the end.

Summit Entertainment released a plot summary of Eclipse on February 20, 2009, which says,

“ As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. ”
