I was born a saint...

From the first breath that filled my lungs that day I understood who I was. I understood why I was hunted from birth. I understood why they feared me.

I was born into a world of darkness, the very heart of this world's horrors. Though I was a mere child I saw death, pain, war, destruction and worst of all I gained sorrow. The sorrow grew in my heart like a burning flame beneath my heart. I felt as if I was on fire. On that very day, the flames burned and there I stood, in the center of battle. The two legions of power thirsty warriors known as the eyes. They knew of who I was, through the written prophecy.

My innocence, my ignorance, my happiness was burned that very instance. There is stood as the Divine I was born to be. There I slaughtered every single soul of evil. From the smoke of the black flames I rose as the shadow. The innocent of this world cried my name, not as a simple protagonist of their freedom stories but as the very core of my being. The sorrow.

As a mere child of 8 I traveled the world, famished and thirsty dragging along a sword far to large for my height. This sword appeared on the ground before me on that day. I never understood how but I do know why. It is my weapon, the soul that I fight with. It has never dulled and though it is large it has always adapted to the strength I had. It was more than a tool it was my strength.

Though this sword protected me and was my strength...I was just a child... I do not know how to fight. I only survived these battles through my rage, and through fear my will to survive. Many times has the world of the dead grasped at my soul and with luck and the last of my strength could I escape...

I watched, I followed, I learned. Through my trek I learned slowly how to fight with my blade by those very men that tried to slaughter me. I knew that I will never stop running, since they will never stop hunting and thus I must never stop learning. I must understand this power bestowed upon me.... I must learn

After many months of feeding on scrap food and water from those soldiers who tried to kill me. I started to have dreams. In those dreams I saw battlefields slathered in blood and the very earth screamed in energy as if lighting brewed beneath it. In those dreams I never saw any figure though I did feel emotions. Heart aches similar to mine. A gentle voice of a woman would always speak "Seek thy brothers"

On one morning, my energy was low, my head screamed in questions. Why must I live in this hell why must I suffer... I am but a child. There, on a savanna plain by a large cliff I saw a distant figure. The sorrow in my chest grew stronger, the voices grew louder. There I stood in front another child also bearing a sword. I had no fear. I had no time. I knew that if I flinched or hesitated I could die. It was what I had learned from my the very first day I could walk.

I lunged, and so did he. We fought a seemingly endless battle, maybe it was, maybe it was the hunger and thirst working on my mind. We both breathed harder until we had nothing left. My knees buckled just as his.
There I saw his eyes and understood he was who the woman spoke of.
He was my brother.
