24 Hours
With the new Twilight film New Moon shooting here... some fans may go so far as to skip school or cut work for a glimpse of stars Rbert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart.
But two teenage girls have taken their Twilight devotion to a whole other level: They travelled from their Swiss village in the hopes of sighting the film's stars.
"I watched [the first Twilight movie] over 10 times," said Lydia Baker*. "Everyone [in Switzerland] knows the movie and the books."
Baker and Ilene Laube, both 17, are best friends who booked their tickets... in December when they first discovered the latest Twilight movie would be filmed here.
"It was a very spontaneous decision," Baker said. "It started as a joke. Then we did it."
They've been in town two weeks and have been "Googling all day" to find where Twilight was filming. However, they have yet to spot any cast.
With their flight home scheduled today, thime's running out.
"I would be disappointed [if we didn't see the cast]," Baker said. "[Our... visit] will then just be a normal trip to any other city."
And if they did manage to catch sight of any of the film's stars?
"I hope I would be quiet and not shouting," Laube said. "We would definitely say we're from Switzerland. Maybe that makes us interesting. We don't want to be like all the others."
One lucky [person] was certainly not reserved when she caught sight of Pattinson and Stewart earlier this month.
"I was screaming," said Annie Serratos, 15. "I was chasing the cars and stuff. I'm such a big fan."
Cusano waited nearly two hours outside David Thompson secondary to snap some photos of the stars leaving the set.
"My main goal was to meet them, but just to get a glimpse made me so happy," she said. "[My friends] are so jealous."
The most recent Twilight spotting was Monday at Central Park...
Twilight's New Moon wraps shooting... May 21.
*I changed the names of these girls, just for privacy, you know.
How sad is that?
