I'm trying to come up with idea's for a new tattoo. Something with stars and the moon. Or Sakura flowers or hearts, or a combination of all smile
If anyone has any tatoo's they can post here, or sketches, I'm trying to find as much reference material as I can... Thank you smile
Or if you have a tattoo that you just think is cool and want to show off, feel free to post that as well.

I know there are web sites out there cataloging hundreds and thousands of tattoo designs out there. I have never had a tattoo but may of my friends do. One of my friends went to school to become an artist. They succeeded and started a shop. That shop soon closed do to the fact she was the only artist and well she is pregnant at the moment.
Types of tattoos my friends have.
A koi fish tattoo that starts on the foot and travels up the leg.
The fish is swimming against a water fall.
It is to represent drive and endurance over impossible endeavors.
Legend says that if a koi fish can swim up a water fall they in turn transform into dragons.
This same person has a dragon tattoo in which the dragon is ripping through his body. Human anatomy structures are included in the work.
Last one I saw he had gotten was a tattoo of the word Pshyco imprinted on the inside of his lower lip. He has to pull his lower lip down to show it off.
Another buddy of mine has a border style head shot of a smiley. It says "have a nice ******** day above it."
I am sure there are a lot more. I really don't pay a lot of attention.
I have never been one for tattoo's.
My character Ezric is the only RP character that has one.
On his back is a circle of black diamonds.
The sort of diamonds you would see on a playing card.

Yeah, I've been looking stuff up on Photobucket and deviantArt because actual tattoo sites charge for their images...

Also, if anyone posts any suggestions, keep in mind that my uncle will be doing my tattoo, so I don't want it to be to close to certain areas... that would just be awkward...

Wow I would never suggest where on your body you should place the tattoo.
There are places that have social stigmas.
The ankle: this is a place where for people who like the idea of a tattoo but do not want to be known as a person with a tattoo.
The small of the back: Excuse the language but this is known as the tramp stamp. Showing of your tattoo is showing off.
Now places like the neck, arms and face well there seen all the time and well some jobs might turn you down for just that.
Bellow and above the navel are quite bizarre should you wish to become pregnant.
Do you want a public tattoo or a privet one?
Should I ever ever venture into tattooing I would push for a large piece.
If it is worth doing it's worth doing well.
Something about the shoulder blade to shoulder blade and spine tattoo always seem to be interesting.

Well, I already have wings on my shoulder blades. But I was thinking of getting either a "tramp stamp" or something in the area of my hip bones. I'm just not sure how big and if I want it to wrap around or what.
I want to avoid areas that I can't cover if necessary.
I mostly just want to see images, and then if there is an aspect of one I think is neat, I'll modify it for whatever area I decide on.

Oh I forgot about the hip to back wrap tattoo.
I can imagine those to be gorgeous.

yeah, in my search for an interesting tattoo, I saw a My Little Pony on someones shoulder, a HUGE Hello Kitty on one girls ribcage (along with lots of candy and ice cream, I guess it was supposed to be cute...), and Sailor Moon's transformation locket (one of the huge ones from the later seasons) on a girls chest.

Looked through all my collected art on my computer. Looks like I havent downloaded much in the form of tattoos. This is all I managed to find in my collection. {image moved}   I mean eventually I could do some searches. Prehaps ask my tattoo enthusiast friends for some good sites. Edit: took down the top image do to it's graphic nature. Think I got my point a crossed to those who where concerned.

Thinking I should probably take down the top tattoo image.
I guess I am not much a fan of "cute" tatoo's.
You run into a wall with cute.
1) later in life you regret it and say things like "I thought it was cute at the time."
2) when it comes to showing off your tattoo's they are always subject to heavy criticism. No matter what it is. No matter how beautiful or unique. Some one is going to hate it. Think you lost your mind for putting it on your body.
So...I tend to be of the thinking that if your to get a tattoo it should be something that means a lot to you. So no matter how much others hate it they will respect why it's there.

I'm thinkin' a tattoo on the hip bone sounds better. It would be pretty hot, even speaking from another female's perspective. If I had a tattoo, it'd be in a place like that.
