This is related to the "REAL haunted houses" topic, but every time I hear something about spirits and ghosts people say that a lot of little kids can see and hear them since they have more of a curious and open mind.
I believe this is true and I was wondering, has anyone had any experiences when they were children?

When I was 6 I used to be scared of walking down the hallway AND entering my room at night. We had a really long hallway and walking down it was creepy. And since my room was at the end of the hall made it worse. Also I when my room was open a crack I would see a hand waving towards me and sometimes even a body entering my room and not coming out. So when I HAD to get into my room I RAN super fast and burst through the door and immediately reached for the light switch. xD

I've heard the same thing about auras. I think part of the reason why children see spirits and auras and things more is also because they'll just accept it as having happened, while older people will try to think up other explanations and explain it away, even if it was real.

I had a few really strange things happen when I was younger. The first I don't really remember very well; I'm not even sure that it really happened or if it was a dream. But I remember it was on a Sunday morning. I walked into the hallway, and there was a woman walking down the hall, and I was only about 3 at the time, so somehow I thought it was my mom even though this person didn't really look like her. Then it was like she turned the corner and was gone. A few minutes later I went into the living room and asked my dad where my mom was, because now I couldn't find her. It turned out she had left for church a long time ago.

The second thing to happen was one night, I had been at the playground with my mom (this was when I was about four or five), and when it was time to go home, I ran way ahead of her, so she was still just leaving the playground while I was almost to where you cross the street. Suddenly, a police car drove past, and when it stopped at the stop sign, there was a man in either the back or the passenger seat (I can't remember now) who waved at me, and I realized it was my dad! The car drove away before my mom caught up with me to see it. Then when I got home (which was only across the street, and the car had been going in the opposite direction), my dad was at home in the living room watching TV, and he had been there the whole time. o_O

It's kind of strange though, because even though they say it's usually children that have a lot of paranormal experiences, I've been having them constantly in the past two years, while I only had them once in a while when I was that young.

Those are very interesting stories.
When I was little I was in my brothers room with my sister (The laundry room is RIGHT through his room) and my brother was taking the clothes out the dryer, and when he was done I walked out first and I shouted "SPIDER!" because I knew my sister was scared of bugs and she screamed and I apologized and said just kidding and when I closed the door there was a HUUGEEE spider on the door.
And since my brother has like a sister complex ( xD ) he was shouted and slamming a shoe at the spider "STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER! D:<" >>

Nope. None that I know of. I remember I had 2. One was Boston and the other was Los Angelas and I felt like I was really talking to them. xD

I've read in many books that children with imaginary friends just have contact with a spirit. It's not a big deal, the child is just in tune to their thrid eye. Then as he/she gets older, they're taught that it's not real. Even though...it is.

I know. D:
I almost hate that parents teach that.

Right now I'm reading this book called "The Blue Girl," and it made me decide that I'm going to raise my child to believe in anything.

The main character in The Blue Girl had an imaginary friend that was tall and skinny, but resembled a porcupine. They also had long ears like a rabbit and fingers that were one joint too long. I'm only half way through, but it's leading to the idea of the imaginary friend being real.

I was just curious to see if anyone really did have imaginary friends like that. Instead of just humans..

I've never had an imaginary friend... :[ I feel like I've missed out.. Or at least I don't remember having one. I've tried to make one before though. xD

But I do remember treating my stuffed animals like friends. Sometimes I feel bad for them when they're sitting in an awkward position or laying on the floor, so I'll move them.. >>;;

But that's just me. D:

I never had imaginary friends, but one of my best friends had one that was actually a spirit. Her mother would see her talking to it a lot during the day, and apparently it showed up in a picture once behind her.

Boo, I've never had one. D; But my younger brother did. His imaginary friend scared me because my little brother actually named it LUMPY. *shivers*

I dunno, but my bro would talk to himself and I would sit with my mom and we'd look at each other... Then one day, my bro comes up and says, "Lumpy died." "Lumpy died?" me and my mom said at the same time. "Yeah... his blood turned green." "Green?" And then days later, "Lumpy's alive again." "He is?" "Yeah, but he's not here... he went to go live with his girlfriend."

And... I remember this one time in July. (i think I was... 10 or 11?) Me and all my four cousins were sleeping outside on a trampoline. I was scared because my cousin's house was right next to a forest... or what I use to call, "A piece of the forest" and not only that, but she had this empty dirt field on the other side.

Well... I fell asleep and woke up the next morning and there was a hand print on my arm.

I don't remember if it was me or not... but the mark was on my wrist and it was white, like something had squeezed all the blood out of it...

All my cousins started freaking out because I guess two of my cousins stayed up way late and heard someone scream in the field. I shrugged it off but when we walked to my grandma's house for breakfast, she told us not to scream in the middle of the night.

I showed her my arm and she started praying for me...

The end! I forgot about it and it went away by the end of the day...

Now that is just scary.

I would NEVER sleep outside unless I was in like an inside patio with locks and it was really warm. surprised

I remember ( I believe 3 years ago ) I would wake up and there was always a new scratch on me.
One day there was one under my eye.
Next on my arm, next by my ear, and on my legs they appeared most. And I was too young to shave then. >.>

Yani scared me by saying it was a poltergeist. -.-
I will never know though~

Lol. I don't even know what a poltergeist is anymore.
I keep hearing different things from everyone.
