I’m sorry

Tear my heart out,
Throw me to the floor.
Make sure to tell me you don’t love me anymore.
I waited for calls,
Alone in my room.
From the very beginning I knew we were doomed.
Oh my sky,
Oh my star.
Please never forget who you truly are.
We were each other‘s world,
Then we drifted away.
I should have known it would end this way…
Someone I fell for,
I never stopped falling.
As soon as you confessed to me,
Their name was calling.
So please…
Tear my heart out,
Throw me to the floor.
Make sure to tell me you don’t love me anymore.
I deserve this punishment,
This hate and distrust.
Never realizing,
your love grew to lust.

Reason to Move On

Hiding from the rain,
You have no where else to go.
The castle is a mass,
Of sorrow,
And fear.
The shadow runs from you.
Follow it.
It’s just alone,
It’s just scared.
Never knowing,
The sight of another.
There you see
The body at the end
Of the long shadow.
A beautiful boy,
Moonlight in his eyes,
Night sky in his hair.
Baring the scaly wings
And pointed tail,
From a curse,
Born from another‘s vain thoughts.
When you walk closer
The sun starts to raise
And he fades away.
Run back home,
Try to tell them
Of what you’ve seen
In the sad castle.
But no one seems to listen.
Go back the next night,
Try and talk to him,
But once he opens those lovely lips,
Nothing but sadness
Seems to be in his memories.
The sun raises.
He, again, fades away.
The things you start to see
A snake in your bed
Evil winged creatures
Torturing you
Each and every day.
They tell you,
To never go back
Unless you truly care for him.
Notice your own mother
Crying
Over a very familiar picture.
Go back to him and cry
Tell him it all
He’ll understand
And as he holds you closer,
And the sun starts to raise
You’ll both fade away.
Never to return…

For a Little Hope

How would you like it
If I knocked you down,
And never let you back up?
If I laughed at your cries,
If I lied to lie.
If I left you with nothing
But this black and white painting.
The painting in the broken frame,
And smeared with blood.
Can you see?
Do you now understand?
This was painted by your hand.
In this painting I’m the girl,
Scared and alone.
No place to go too,
No place to claim as my own.
Because you knocked me down,
And never let me back up.
You laughed at my cries,
You lied to lie.
You made sure
I never spoke my mind,
That I was always
The frail,
The helpless girl.
Because that’s all I was to you.
So now I’m the girl,
With the rip across her face.
A rip that can’t be tapped or glued.
In a picture that can’t be replaced.
There is no way to free me,
No way to fix what you’ve done to me.
All I ask,
Is for a little color,
For a little hope,
That I’ll be left alone.
For a little hope,
That the blood will fade.
For a little hope,
That the others you’ve hurt
Can be free…

What Would you do?

What would you do,
If you found him in that room of depression,
Crying, huddled in the corner?
What would you do,
If when you went to talk to him,
He told you to go back to bed?
And when you stood to leave.
What would you do,
If he held onto your hand tightly,
And only cried harder?
What would you do,
If he told you what he was going to do,
And it scared you to death?
What would you do,
After you both cried for hours,
And neither knew what to say?
What would you do,
If he wouldn’t stop apologizing,
Almost like he was scared of you?
When it all seemed resolved,
And you went to bed.
What would you do,
If when you awoke the next morning,
You realized you’d never see him again…?
What would you do?

Run!

“Only one more drink.”
Run…
“Don’t ever to that again!”
Run…
“I was so worried about you!”
Run!
“How dare you tell me I have a problem!?”
RUN!!
Take off,
Don’t come back.
All I do is cry,
As you spout out stupid lies!
So I’ll take my things and run!
I’ll end up in the same thin,
Empty hallway.
No doors,
No lights,
No way out.
No Time to think,
That’s gotten me no where!
Run!
I’ve got to get out of here!
Into the darkness,
No clue what’s coming ahead.
Wings won’t extend,
Just run!
Tears make it hard to adjust to the dark,
Body starts to shake,
Muscles begging to stop.
Just run…
What have I done?
I just made things worse…
Just run…
The hall disappears,
I got far across town.
Just run…
They pull up in the road ahead,
Just run…
They get out of the car,
I can’t be strong anymore…
Dead end.
I’m done.

Pushing the Limit

He couldn’t stand the pain, pushing his body and mind to the breaking point.
He told her he was going for a drive…
Faster…
Faster…
His mind telling him to go out with a bang, make it quick, and the pain will stop.
There was a sharp turn, he didn’t stop.
Off-road, He didn’t stop.
He had to be going 80.
Or pushing the limit.
The cement wall at the corner of the church.
He didn’t stop.
He wanted it to go away.
He couldn’t take it anymore!
…At the last minute, he snapped to reality and tried to turn out of the way…
The loud crash could be heard throughout the town, drawing a crowd.

Countdown

Everything’s well,
Everything’s where you want it to be,
And you find the game.
Sit down,
It’s alright.
You have all the time in the world,
My dear…
There it is,
Hit start!

Woosh!
Run, Run,
As fast as you can!
Your legs hurt?
Forget the pain!
You’re scared?
Too bad!
Run, Run,
Run away from mistakes!
You didn’t mean it?
Tell that to her face!
You’ll change?
Bull!
You had your chance!
You played your game!
And guess what?
You fail!
Run, Run,
There’s the mark!
Press it!
Mission Accomplished!
The building will now self-destruct.
Countdown!

…Game Over…

Lean back,
My dear.
Now think for a moment…
What did you do wrong?

I Love You

Heart Races,
Thoughts start to die,
When you hear that beautiful sentence,
“You’ve been on my mind.”
And when the shock dies down,
And the racing subsides.
You hurry to embrace them,
Feeling you’ll float to the skies.
Their hands so soft,
Forever entangled in yours.
And lips so tender,
Forever embraced by yours.
Years go on,
Things change and things die.
But you know the moment never will.
Because though you disagree now and then,
You’re captivated by them still.
So my beautiful loved one,
Thy kindhearted star.
Please always know this,
You have a place in my heart.
Because I know when the heart stops,
And the body dies.
You will forever be,
Where my dreams safely lie.

My Guardian Angel

They told me I'd get over it.
That with time it would all be okay.
I'd move on,
You'd be a memory.
And all would be okay.
But then why is it
That when I look to the sky,
All I can see is you blue eyes,
Staring back at me,
Watching me.
Why is it when all is quiet,
All I can think about is you.
How you must have suffered,
And what you have been through.
Who you used to be,
Your laugh,
Your smile,
Your heavenly voice.
Why is it I can remember you,
As if you were still here.
Blue eyes,
Black hair,
beautiful, flawless skin.
My angel...
My angel?
That's it,
My guardian angel.
Watching me,
Making sure I never forget.
Making sure I never get hurt.
Letting me know you're okay,
Letting me know you're always there.
Well,
My Guardian angel,
I promise.
I promise that when we meet,
All it will be is you and me.
I'll run up to you and only you.
Letting you know I'm still yours.
We'll cry,
We'll hold on,
We'll be happy.
But until then,
This is for you.
My beautiful,
My graceful,
My love,
My guardian angel.

I like them all. Very good. Good punctuation and sentance flow... All in all very very good.

I’m Sorry

I think that the lines are too short and too long in some places. For example, when you say ‘make sure to tell me you don’t love me any more,’ I would say, ‘make sure to remind me you don’t love me any more,’ or , ‘tell me you don’t love me any more.’ Then you have the sentence, ‘from the beginning I knew we were doomed,’ it goes too fast, make it longer to match your long sentences, or shorten your previous ones to see how it will work. Your poem content wise is great, yet common, but portrayed in a great way.

Reason to Move On

This poem’s phrase placement is poorly chosen and I believe it should have gone more slowly in pace. The short lines give it a chopped feel that I believe this poem does not benefit from, other than that it was ok.

For a Little Hope

I liked this one, very ominous and I like the element of helplessness you added into it to make the perfect theme of entrapment and empathy. Phrase choices were good as well.

All I’ll read for now, I might come back to you later.
