Talk about your works in progress. What are you working on now? Are you having any trouble? What was your favorite pattern you have ever done?

I'm working on a Sasuke but I always end up making the thread to long and getting small knots that I don't catch until it's to late. Don't you hate when that happens.

I'm working on an African Palm piece.. I posted it in the WIP sticky. ^^
I always make my threads too long too! lol I hate having to constantly end the thread and rethread the needle so i leave it long.. but I always get it tangled or knotted, so now I'm in the habit of checkin gthe back every few stitches. XDD

I'm currently working on a piece called Ballet Pigs by Heaven and Earth Designs. It's really coming along and once I finish one page I'll try to post a pic. I'm also trying a new method for stitching called parking, this way I don't have to cut threads off so much and start new colors all the time, as there are 90 colors eek
I saw your pic KazKitty, it's coming along beautifully! I can't wait to see it done 3nodding
Oh, and for those of you with knotting issues, there is a product called Thread Heaven (you can get it at needlework or beading shops) that you can run your thread through and it prevents knotting, and if it still knots, the knot comes right out. It's some great stuff!

Well, thanks to you all I'm back at stitching evil wink I came across a carousel horse that I started on many years ago. It's probably about 85% done. Mostly just have to finish the filling in of the large sections of ecru and other light colors, tedious boarder, backstitching etc... unfrtunately the chart was printed in 91 so it's not in the leisure arts assortment online. I'll hopefully scan the picture on the cover eventually, but the scanner tough to get to at the moment. The next one, even jumping back in with multiples, is this one. http://dragondreams.accra.ca/SpotofTea.gif which I'll be making for my dragon loving friend. Somehow I had half the exact colors I needed and was able to fudge the rest. And it didn't print out that clear, so I color coded the boarder and translated from the comp to graph paper the dragon. Quite a fun experience. More memorable though and my friends well worth it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to actually start today as the design is only 48 by 48 squares and would be hopelessly tiny on 16 count. Gonna get some 12 count soon and some missing colors for my horsy smile Thanks everyone for giving me yet another artistic and craft endeavour wink I'm loving the free designs I've found (will share soon) and hope to desing too someday... have a good hoilday, Moira

So, I went with 14 count and it seems to be working out pretty well. Hmm, a card might not be a bad idea, but a thought I just had was to try and design a way to scroll it if I left enough extra fabric around. I can always stitch it to to another fabric to make framing, scrolling eaiser... have to see what it all looks like when done.
