User ImageJust completed this simple pattern. If you stitch on size 18 aida cloth I *think* it will fit in a 5x7 frame, but I haven't had the chance to test it out yet. There are a few places where the lines don't match up perfectly, but it's just a pet peeve and won't cause any trouble with reading. You can download it here:

Here is a link to four small patterns of the main cast of Hunter x Hunter. They come out *really* small, so I think they would make great borders to stitch around a larger image, or along the hem of a canvas bag, etc. (No preview images because there was room to fit them right onto the patterns!)

They can be found here.

Hope they'll come in handy. ^^

Just a quick question. How do you guys make your own patterns? Do you have a special computer program or do you do it manually?

I draw pixel art and open it up in PC Stitch, then copy the image of the black and white symbols and paste it onto a template I made in another art program. From there I type out the color code and title of the pattern, etc. Then I test the pattern and make notes about certain colors, etc. Sometimes I change what the program suggested, but I don't often get around to modifying the actual pattern to reflect those changes.

I have a legal copy of PCStitch, it's just that people with a passing interest in cross stitch, or without the money to buy a program probably wouldn't be willing or able to buy the program to download the patterns I make. That and I don't care for the way the program prints the color charts and sometimes the patterns.

I often use a photo to make my patterns. To make them, I gradually low the number of color and correct the picture (with a program like the gimp or adobe photoshop), and then I finish it in stich program too.
But for very small image with few colors (like animated gifs ), mspaint is enough.

I've made this grid for my mother, so if you are interested in, i'll put a link to the diagram...
The only problem that's the colors name are in french and for DMC threads, but the number are the same.
there is 28 colors, and it's 150x140

well i made a kairi cross-stitch from KH2 and its bigger than the sora. its close to 16'' and the sora was only 13''. my problum is that im already doing a giant fairy cross-stitch and i cant do them both at the same time or i wont get any progress done. so i got two of my friends(both of them are guys so its going to be fun trying to teach them how to stitch X3) to help me do the kairi. we'll just trade off every week or something like that. the only problum is i have to buy all the matirials myself. *caculates the cost*......*dies* so yea im basicly going to be working non-stop trying to pay for both projects at the same time. but why im dong that you guys should tell me which one you like better becouse i did two versions of kairi. one with outlineing and one without. let me know which one you think would look better.

version one(outlineing)

I prefer the oulined version, but you have already made sora non outlined and it was great. This none outlined version of kairi looks weird to me because of the black lines on her tie and bag. Aww it's difficult to choose... Both are really good job...

Wow kairi_sora16, she's so cute! I agree with everything Kisuisen said. And I can see how it would be hard to choose between Kairi and your fairy, I say, do both lol.
