Five years ago a rift formed in the earth during the largest quake in recorded history. This rift opened more than just a chasm though; it tore a hole in the very fabric of the dimension and slowly, very slowly demons from another realm found the rift and began assaulting villages, their goal being to find a new Desprag... or Demonic Leader, and take possession of this planet... destroying the angelic realm and freeing them of their own...
Now, five years after the initial rift, they've found and trained their new Desprag. The Americas have been claimed and the demonic eye points towards Asia for it's next conquest. No move has been made yet... but one shall... all in good time. Unbeknownced to the demonic eye, a hero has emerged to fight against the Desprag... an angel... the Desprag's brother.
Mark Daemon's History:
The Demons' mission was clear, find one child, one very specific child, and return him to their realm at any cost. Time in their realm moved much quicker… seven years for every one in fact. They found the child’s father a year into their search and murdered him while his older son hid. The man had been a swordmaker but refused to sell to the insidious looking men and was slain for that alone. The older son vowed revenge.
After another year, the son, now ten, was already one of the most skilled swordsmen in the world. He was known far and wide for his quick and skillful handling of these weapons, many thought to be oversized for such a young warrior. The demons attacked again, this time a playground. They were merely having fun, but this turned out to be more than they bargained for when Mark Daemon, the son and swordmaster, and two of his friends, {Fire} and {Wind}, both also skilled with blades tore the demons to shreds… all but one. Levi, Mark’s father’s killer, escaped death.
Three years after that, the child was found. Mark’s now seven year old brother. Mark was on his way home from work… his family was too poor for him to go to school and the economy made sure that nobody cared anymore what age you were to start work… when he saw them overhead. He wasn’t sure where they were headed, but there were many of them, too many of them to count. He made it up the stairs and into the small apartment his family rented. He bolted the doors and locked the windows drawing his sword, knowing somehow that they were after his family. Then they came, they swarmed the windows and broke down the door. The three of them, his mother, brother and he barricaded themselves in his brother’s room where there was only a door and no windows. When they came through that he fought bringing all of his deadly skill to bear. In the end, however, the mass overcame him, though he reduced their numbers to a small fraction of what they originally were. Levi still lived… he had been unable to complete his one task.
He has now come back... a Warrior Angel greater than any that have come before... his mission, to amass an army with which to attack the demon hoards infecting the world before they destroy it...
Anthony Daemon's History:
Raised his first seven years in the human world, Anthony is the younger brother of Mark, though after almost fourteen on the demonic plane, he appears older. He was raised the last fourteen years by the Desprag spirit, a spirit who foretold the coming of the one who would lead the demonic world in its rise against the light. He is a supreme fighter and is versed in the tongues of mortal men. He ordered the demon invasion continue, up to the point where it is now. He is now able to leave the demonic plane at will. He is the epitome of darkness, wrapped in a black cloak so thick and big, nothing of his face is ever seen and even his hands are gloved in black. His one blade, Hellion the Soul Snatcher, is ever at his side. He has even brought the Horsemen under his sway.
Leviticus Levingston's History:
Born before the world began and falling in the War Before the World with the rest of his original kindred, Levi is nearly an unstoppable force of evil in his own right. He failed the test to rise as the new Desprag and so was sent to find the one who would rise to the challenge. Finding a family especially powerful in spirit, though they were unaware of their own potential, for the most part, Levi sought out the one who would lead them into war and ultimate victory over his ancient brothers.
During his search, he ran across Brom Daemon, a master swordsmith who unknowingly had the ability to create true, original Blades of Power, specialized swords with the ability to hold and channel their own abilities and augment the abilities of those around them. Brom was killed for refusing to work with him, but not before Levi had found that he had two sons who were strong enough to survive the Desprag challenge.
One of them he attempted to remove from the picture in favor of the more powerful child. The first, Mark, gave him endless grief to the point where he took a hundred of his most powerful kindred with him to steal away the boy’s brother in the even that Mark would be their. He was and Levi lost all but twelve of his hundred in the fight against the boy. He snatched the child and promptly killed the mother. He now travels the world searching for the strongest and most powerful demons to call to his army. He is only rivaled in the demon world by Anthony who is a good friend when not fighting a war.
