Before I start bitching out about my douche bag of a professor, I just wanted to say that I absolutely love this guild!
Well, here it is...
I am a college student and most of the professors I have are pretty straight up "if you don't follow what I want...well, you fail." That, I can handle. I do what I need to do in class, and I go on with my life.
This one English professor that I have though seem to like to add little hurtful comments or snide remarks about women in general.
The university I go to is big on their tradition. Very traditional, it makes me sick. Anyway, before it became a co-ed university, it was a military school. So, naturally, it was all men. Now this professor of mine is pretty gung-ho about this and he repeatedly reminds all of his classes that the school is way better off without the women population. That the women make the school and campus look bad. Ahhhh!
Now, another instance is class participation (all the girls absolutely hate this). If we don't participate in the class discussions, we get 5 points docked off our next quiz, test, homework, whatever. So, of course, we participate. One day a friend of mine decided to answer a question the professor asked. Since he didn't like her answer, his comment was she should just go back home where women were better off in and not to try to prove themselves in an educated world.
He has been reported many times before, but the university doesn't do anything about it. This professor has been at this for years. It hacks me off that the school won't do anything about it. Also, what ever gave this professor the right to talk to women that way?
Anyway, the girls try to make his day as bad as they can possibly get it. Though, we get more homework than the guys in retaliation.
Well, that's all the bitching I can do for now. This particular professor has given us 3 essay assignments and a research paper to write that will count as our final grade at the end of the semester, so I need to bounce.

Yeah, you SHOULD file a lawsuit. Women have rights, too. Maybe it's time to teach that dumb professor a little lesson on gender equality! twisted

Do the law suit thing AND prove to him that women CAN be smart and intellectual. Do those assignments and get straight A's in his class. Like, be even better than the smartest boy in class or something! Then rub it in his face! Guys like that make me really want to break irreplaceable items! Without women, MANY things today wouldn't even have existed, that stupid a-hole!

eek What if he WANTS you to file a lawsuit?!?! Like some kind of a screwed-up final test to make sure you're ready to pass his class?
