The Heartwillow Meadow is a large, peaceful meadow that runs through much of Terra between the mountains, forest, and the capital city of Sciara. Many farm houses, temples, and clan homes lie in here, as it isn't bothered by much of the chaos. Except for a minor problem with wolves, the occasional gargoyle from Sciara, and the occasional bandit group that passes by, there are no problems within the meadow.

Range came upon the meadow in a dreary state. "Well then..." he sighed as his feet dragged through the green grass. "Looks somewhat odd to me. Too... peaceful." Range Kale shrugged at the teddybear as he let out a deep breath. In the silence of the meadow, a caw came from behind. Range took his time to face where it had come from as he found a golden spark had appeared in the sky. "Creeee" It called smoothly. Range squinted as he tried to focus on the speak in the sky. "Creeeeeii" It called louder as the creature began to dive downward.

"Not him..." Len muttered with utter disapointment. Range ignored it as the griffen dove toward them. It appeared that Keal was going to face plant a few meters away by his current decend, however at the last moment he pulled up and came flying toward Range. The boy stood still, slightly unnerved by the griffen. Although he had been given the animal in his care for a while, he still was unsure of its behavior. Closer and closer Keal flew, no looking to budge. "He's gonna move out of my way.. right?... RIGHT?" Range asked aloud. His heart began to beat as the golden griffen came closer. "He has to." But in seconds later after facing the amber eyes of the beast, everything went black.

------------
Range found himself crashed on the ground, over trampled weeds. Keal, he found after, was laying a few feet away in a sleep. Confused and intreged, Range tried to trace his thoughts, "He didn't... HIT me.. Did he?"
Len seemed to awake at this point. "Told you that bird was no good." "He really.. Really did? I mean.. He really ran into us?" "Head first." Len confirmed as Range poked at his teddy bear. Range remained silent as he rolled onto his stomach and puzzled at Alaura's companion. "He's one upsetting bird." Range stated as if it was coming from his bear. Range just sighed and lay in the grass, coming of thoughts. "So.. You really think we should have joined?" His hand figetted with the teddy's arm. "No doubt."

David sighed as he paused for a moment within the meadow. Perhaps walking to the beach wasn't the best option: he'd just ride a wyvern next time. At least he wouldn't be so tired.

David slowly lowered himself onto the ground and sat back with his palms planted on the ground behind him to keep him propped up. David looked around, before ahead once again.

"Three miles away from Sciara" He muttered to himself with a soft sigh. He almost wished he forced the puppeteer to come to him so his mission wouldn't have been a failure.

While laying on the ground, Range caught something out of the corner of his eye. He angled his head to the side to get a better look. He was caught still for a moment. "It's him." Range remained completely frozen, as if he was stuck there before muttering out, "It's him? This is perfect! Just go over and accept." Range squinted as he timidly lazied to his feet. Len came again with more urgence,"Common! He's RIGHT THERE." The boy ignored it and began to tip toe away. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" "Shh!" Range snapped back, dangling his teddybear by it's leg.

Nimbly, Range fleed behind a tree. Leaning himself against the trunk and peering over the side, the tried to think of what would be best. His hand went to the edge of his mouth as he thought however Len burst out again, "COMMON!" "Len... Let's just stay here for a bit." Range replied as he sat the teddy on his shoulder. "Worst happens, we'll run." "WORST HAPPENS WE'LL ACCEPT!" Len cried again.

His other personality wanted to go back in charge again, back to the past they had before Alaura had came. Range didn't. "No... we can't. And you know why." His voice was cold and unmoving. "Because you know you'll love it. Because you know, you'll be just like me." Range huffed at the idea, "No. Never again. Now hush."

The fiery-haired general's attention was drawn by a girl who was sitting on a sheet, pattering on about something she thought she knew. What did she know? Nothing of Sciara or him.

"No, trust me little miss, I'll enter that fortress just fine. I'm a general" David spoke as he rose to his feet casually, keeping a hand on the hilt of one of his kaktana. "And you are? What? A citizen? A rebel? Or a supporter?" David asked cautiously as he raised an eyebrow, uncertain of whether he should attack or let her leave.

David had dealt with many rogues in the past whom all thought they were wise by being in the shadows and simply reaping benefits while others were at war. Rogues weren't wise, nor were anyone else who wasn't part of the empire. If you weren't part of the empire you were doomed.

Suigintou smirked softly she knew what he was thinking and she was glad she got to meet him so soon into her travels she spent months getting stronger more powerful and now she knew this is what she was born for humanity may have turned its back on her but she was gonna get even one way or another

"I already know that David actualy i tracked you here...i figured that if i met you first the questions would be diminished straight away but i'm guessing your curious" Suigintou said with a start incling my head to face you again

"Infact i'm best getting out of this form not the best i have ever picked but i'm guessing change is always around the corner...Just like the boy with the cute little teddy bear"

Suigintou smirked before dissapearing and then reapearing infront of Range one arm wrapped around his torso keeping him there and the other at his neck with a blade

"You didn't think that you could get past me now did you" I ask softly whispering into Range's ear

"It wasn't you I was worried about." Range replied calmly, his hands pacing the side of his bear. For a moment, he remained hush and looked over his shoulder. Finding that Keal had left back to Alaura, Range turned his attention back to the lady that had trapped him and sorted through his options.

"Look what you've gotten us into, Range." Range complained with anger for Len. But strangely enough, something else was in his voice; excitement. "This wasn't my fault." Range murmured back sourly. "You know it was, don't deny it. But this could be a good thing... You have a chance to need me again." Range scarfed back, "No. Not now, not ever," Range's face had become emotionless as he spoke with himself. His eyes looked dead as they stared into the abyss.

"Yes, you need me. You have a knife to your throat and you can't run. Range, you just cannot hide from this one. You NEED me." The voice had grown deep and urgent. Range took control of himself once more and shook his head wildly, "No!" He thrasted the teddy bear at the girl, quick enough to push her a little ways away and have him run away without a scratch. "You NEED me, You NEED me" the words kept ringing like at the beach. But Range refused to give in. When he found he was at a safe distance, Range took out a miniture hammer our of his pocket and held it before him. His eyes grew a faint red and the hammer grew to enormous proportions. Tightly he grasped the handle of it and prepared to defend himself. "I don't need a villian, Len. I need me."

David watched as the girl babbled something nonsensical before she vanished into thin air, going god-knows-where. David huffed as he turned and decided to continue his march toward Sciara. At least he wasn't far.

Range couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't just sit here and wait for an attack. The boy turned away and ran hard. His feet falling into the grass, his arms wavering like a fearful child, his heart pounded in his chest. "You need me..." He screeched to himself. His arms tossed wildly as he strided. The hammer swinging forward and back. 'I don't... don't... never... will.' Range just wanted to be himself. He was so sick of everything else. It took him years to get this far and only feared he'd slip back.

With his eyes faded, his weapon shrinking, and his heart calming, Range left the meadow. The grass below turned to stone as he strided onto the road. An empty thump continued beneath him as he headed away. He couldn't stay here, it couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't wait. He had to go.
