The Gaia mountains is the one area in Terra where you can experience a wide range of seasons in a day. The high caps of the mountain are covered in snow, while the bottom of the mountain are usually flourishing with vegetation. This area has a rich history of military marches. In addition, it is home to a couple temples and clan homes near the foot of the mountain.

Maya Solomon "C'mon, it's just around that bend. We're almost there" Maya beckoned Kaze with a soft grin as she pointed over one last bend in the mountain range. Truthfully, her clan wasn't that far from the Hearwillow Meadows; however, without a horse to ride on Maya could see why her friend was becoming a little restless with the walk.
"You're gonna love it there, don't worry. We've got some of the best food in the mountains" Maya grinned. Despite how sunny Maya was, it seemed that it flickered as quickly as it came: as they got closer to the end of the mountain, a plume of dark smoke could be seen.
"What. . .?" Maya asked softly, worried, before she began to run.
As Maya made her way around the bend, she paused before large gates as she watched one of the clan buildings on fire, with much debris on the floor. However, as she stepped through the gates, the debris had become more clear: it was her face.
Maya was silent. She looked down for a moment, solemnly, before she could a soft groan coming from the center of the debris. Maya looked up quickly. As a raven-haired woman stirred within the debris, Maya dashed over and knelt down before her. While everyone else had a clear stab wound or arrow in their chests, she seemed unharmed. Perhaps knocked unconscious, but there were no serious wounds.
"Mother!" Maya whimpered as she looked at her, then looked around. "What happened?!"
"M-Maya?" The woman asked for a second, dazed and confused. "Your brother. He came in with some soldiers. They killed everyone"
Maya didn't say anything, she couldn't. The shock, horror, and fury that grew within her stopped her. If she let anything out, it would've been a yell of anger. And just when she thought things couldn't get worse, the last of her family died. After getting pushed away suddenly, Maya watched her mother's body fall back onto the ground with an arrow in her chest.
Maya gazed over at the entrance of the build that wasn't on fire to see a soldier standing there, reading his bow with another arrow once again. Maya grit her teeth as she pulled out a sai and threw it at him. The sai pierced the soldier's neck, sending him to the ground.
Maya quickly crawled back to her mother's body, tearing as she looked at the wound, then at her face, unsure of what to do. "Mother" Maya whimpered, shivering a little. "Please"
Little did she realize that a small group of soldiers were marching toward the front gate, lead by a fiery-haired. Maya's letter from her mother inviting her for a ritual wasn't a coincidence with her death. The letter was sent by someone else. Someone who knew Maya would come and planned on killing her off.
"Ready your swords. Kill the companion ahead while I go after the girl" The fiery-haired male smirked deviously as his soldier's readied their weapons.
Her heart underneath, cries quietly, This part of me, I choose not to see.

"Maya we have to go for now troops are coming" Kaze picks up Maya's mother and leaned her over his shoulder. Its time to move I don’t think we can take them all on our own. Kaze lifted Maya to her feet and started to pull her in the direction away from the troops. "Yofune Nushi Cover us" Kaze throws a scroll on the ground and a big puff of smoke revealed "Lets get out of here Maya we can fight them another day."

Maya Solomon Maya hadn't budged when she first heard of the troops arriving. She couldn't leave her mother's side. However, as Kaze picked her up, Maya quickly pulled her mother's body away from him.
"Leave her body here. It's better she just stays with the grounds anyways" Maya spoke quickly as she gazed over at the troops. She recognized her brother from far away; however, chose to ignore him. She couldn't fight him now.
Maya threw her last sai straight toward the troops, then grabbed her mother's sapphire-encrusted sai. She was to inherit them when she became head priestess anyways. With everyone else dead, she was at the highest rank left in the clan.
"Let's go" Maya spoke solemnly as she sheathed her sai, then dashed toward the back gate of the clan grounds while a summoned creature stood to distract the arm. However, Maya knew the creature wouldn't have lasted long. David was trained to fight wizards who specialized with summoning magic, while Maya trained to quickly get to wizards and kill them. Dragons weren't as difficult for him as they were for her.
After running out of the grounds, it seemed the pain of hitting her family was beginning to numb. Her one-glossy eyes became normal and she became more focused.
Her heart underneath, cries quietly, This part of me, I choose not to see. David Solomon Meanwhile, David stared at the creature before him with a smirk as he drew his katanas. He hadn't seemed to shy away from the creature at all, no fear of the possible dragon's breath or any charge the creature might make. David held complete confidence in the creatures destruction: after all, it wouldn't have been the first dragon he'd slain.
"Now now, Maya, wouldn't you have chosen a better ally than a summoner?" David thought aloud with a smirk.

The Dragon spoke in a vary deep voice. "What would posses a loving brother to such destruction? Because if you knew what the promise of power brought you would not be so heartless"The Dragon looked away for only a moment then Grabbed his blade pointed it at David and said. "I will not let you harm her not while I am here." The dragon started to spew smoke from his nose keeping a eye on David as the smoke filled up the area the dragons eyes turned red so that he could see clearly while everyone else would struggle to see. Even directly infront of him. "He amazing at stalling and he is a good friend of mine. Don’t worry he can handle himself. Besides by the time you’re brother gets through him we will be long gone. "

David Solomon A smirk spread across the fiery-haired male's face at the dragon's lecture.
"Don't you dare lecture me foul beast. Had it not been that you'd be captured by a summoner's spell years ago you'd still be hording gold in a cave. Your lack of self-control and reliance on instinct is not an abundant well of virtue and wisdom. I know very well what power I shall received, and how I'll receive it. . ." David began as smoke began to fill the area. However, that didn't halt David's advances. He, as well as much of his troop, pressed forward.
"And capturing my sister is only the first step to getting it!" David grinned sinisterly as he began to charge straight again. He hadn't heard the dragon's large, heavy steps or the flapping of wings, so he was sure he hadn't moved. And if he had, well, he would've only allowed David a straight passage to his sister.
David's intentions weren't to kill Maya: they were to capture her. There was one thing he and his sister had in common: their blood. With Maya's blood the wizard's alchemists could possibly make a potion that could temporarily negate the effects of magic. That would make entrapping magic-wielding enemies very easy.
However, what David wasn't aware of was the presence of another woman and another dragon. Although, with a platoon of soldiers and his own immunity to any form of magic, that wouldn't be an issue.
((Towards the end of the battle I'll post with Maya. After all, making a post for someone who's just running is kinda pointless))

"You know nothing foolish mortal, I was not captured Kaze is my friend with ought him I would not be hording a cave of gold I would be dead."Yofune Started his counter attack all anyone could hear was the chain on his sword and the screaming of David’s men. Then Yofune swung his sword and it was headed for David’s hand to disarm him it would ether hit his hand or his leg. Ether way he could not fallow his sister anymore at the time.

David Solomon David ignored the screams and cries of pain in the background. His soldier's weren't as well-trained as he thought. However, neither was the dragon: he'd given away how he used his weapon. And as the chain rattled a second time, and as the smoke before him shifted slight from the swift blade traveling through it, David brought a sword up to block the blade, then slashed with his second katana to smack it to the ground. Quickly, he stabbed a katana into the ground in one of the chains, which would've prevented the dragon from being able to pull it back. That was why David never wanted to use a weapon that involved chains: it was easy to limit them.
With that, David knew the dragon was temporarily defenseless. Well, defenseless toward him: his last options would've been what? Dragon's breath? David dashed those last few steps toward the dragon, and swiftly stabbed his blade toward the dragon's heart. David wouldn't allow a dragon of all creatures to stand in his way. Not when he had a more important task at hand.
Knowledge is power, but not all knowledge brings power. Knowledge of people and a little guile, is all you need. Maya Solomon Meanwhile, Maya had arrived at the end of the mountain range with Kaze and paused, heaving deep breaths. She only took a minute or so to catch her breath before her glacial eyes directed themselves up at Kaze.
"Are you alright?" She asked, wondering if he'd been okay running that quickly and that far after a summoning ritual.
Her heart underneath, cries quietly, This part of me, I choose not to see.

(Donno how you stabbed the chain into the ground if you look at the photo the chain is not that long but its fine.) The dragon reached his hand out and allowed the sword to go through a ring on his hand as he grabbed the sword with his thick skin hand and he stepped on the sword in the ground shoving it further into the ground and jamming it there with the steal ring holding one sword and a foot holding the other The Dragon Started to shout a almost deafening laughs as he started to bend the sword sideways. "That should have stalled you enough for them to get away." the dragon started to fade away into the mist and the mist started to clear as the dragon his sword Kaze and Maya were nowhere to be found.

David Solomon David watched as the smoke dispersed and his sword stood in the ground, twisted at the hilt. David didn't understand why the summoner would frivolously summon a beast like that for such a small task. All summoned creatures took energy to call. Some of them even took part of their summoner's soul. Why summon a beast so carelessly? Nonetheless, David didn't mind: it wasn't like it was his soul who was bound to the creature.
David pulled his other sword from the ground, then turned to his fallen soldiers.
"Pathetic" David spoke as he grabbed one of their katana, then walked away from the grounds. There was only one place Maya could've ran through: the back entrance. However, at this point she would've easily made it to the meadow by now. From there, he knew eh would've lost her. Pursuing from that point wouldn't have paid off. David made his way back toward Sciara: he'd simply ask his lord to search for Maya's next destination: this time, he'd try and get her in her sleep.
((If that was the case then your previous post wouldn't be plausible though. o.O If the sword took out his entire platoon before going after him in a single sweep, it would've had to be longer. David was leading the platoon, if it wasn't that long, David would've been the first to encounter it, not his platoon. You should probably be more specific with your attacks: the other roleplayer has to be able to read what you're doing, otherwise things become unclear, ya know? You still need to type what your character does if it isn't a strictly NPC battle. My character won't know what your character is doing, but it will at least help me not misunderstand how your character wields their weapon and incorrectly disarm him, ya know? 3nodding I assumed the chain was longer and he swung the chain and attacked with his blade like that since you made the rattling of the chain very clear, haha. razz
Also, your dragon's post doesn't make sense either. ^^;; If the sword went through a ring in his hand, it wouldn't have even slowed down the sword whatsoever. Therefore, the sword would've still continued toward his chest and pierced his heart. After all, David's stab wasn't a slow stab, it was pretty quick. He wouldn't have been able to stop the sword and bend it and such. o.O Nonetheless, it is fine, I'll work with it. The fight is over anyways, so it isn't a big deal.))
Knowledge is power, but not all knowledge brings power. Knowledge of people and a little guile, is all you need. Maya Solomon "He is" Maya sighed solemnly as she shook her head. "I wonder what his plan is. He killed our whole clan, is his goal to kill me? I know he works for the great wizard of Sciara, so I'm wondering if he's trying to kill me to ensure that there won't be any of my clan to stand in the way of the wizard's magic" Maya thought aloud. Little did she realize that she wasn't supposed to be killed. Merely captured.
"Let's go to Chobehn Village. It isn't far from here. We can rest there for the night and try and figure out what the plan for tomorrow is" Maya suggested as she folded her hands behind her back as she began to walk, her eyes fixed on the ground. She was still troubled by the sight of her fallen family.
((Let's continue this in the Chobehn Village thead. Just post in there for your next post. 3nodding ))

Range ran the way of the road until he couldn't take it. By this point, he has shoved his shortened hammer into his pocket and his eyes were back to their amber color. The boy had run, from what? He planned to sort that out now. As he slowed, Range spoke to himself softly, "I think... I ran again." He went through his memories. A field, a fleed griffen, that man, a women and... His teddybear. Rereading through his thoughts, the man stopped. "Len?" Range asked curiously. A small murmur picked up in his head before dying down. "Len?" Nothing came this time. 'Is... he gone?' The boy's eyes ferociously looked around with panic. He had never lost Len. Never. He covered his forehead with his hand and drifted off the path to a nearby tree. He pressed his back against it and slide down the trunk. Range was covered in silence. For years he'd try to get rid of him and yet... Now he was gone.
