There are ODSTs, SPARTANs, Marines, and the Flood Parasite.
Of course, it is all UNSC units against the Flood Parasite.
It is the year 2552, and it starts aboard the UNSC Colonization Vessel "Soaring Eagle" escorting a ship full of passengers to the next system when the Parasite spreads throughout the entire ship. The casualty rating is 87%, but don't forget, there are still survivors on board!
You are aboard a Stealth Prowler "Walk In Shadows" that just boarded the Soaring Eagle for a checkup. You are wary that the hangar is deserted, and no call comes in from the bridge. Teams split up, and are sent off into different sections of the ship. Suddenly, the Parasite attacks, and most of your squad is infected, and turned into the flood. You must now make your way from the hangars, and regroup with teams, and assault your way towards the engine room, rig it with bombs, and destroy the ship so that this infection cannot reach earth and doom humanity.
Heres how I can summarize the classes best I can...
ODSTs [Orbital Drop Shock Troopers] - Elite Forces. Clad in Dark, pressurized armor. ODSTs do not have an age limit, and are all trained to be Marksmen, and usually in small teams, go stealthily through an area to either avoid attention, or to take out targets quietly. Due to their suits, the Flood Parasite cannot breach their air-tight suits for a short time, but it can break. This protects them from the parasite briefly. You do not get along with other classes, especially SPARTANs. You are proud, cocky, and believe to be above all others, and tend to go commando at times. Though your trust and loyalty to your other ODST units matches no other.
SPARTANs - Special Forces. Clad in any color of MJLONIR-VI Armor. There is a specific age limit. SPARTANs were abducted as children and inducted into pain-staking programs that literally altered your outsides, and your insides. Most kids that were inducted into the programs died. You were one of the lucky ones. Years of training, fighting, and war had changed you, and you no longer respond to emotionally pressed problems than you used to, you are more trained to respond to sentimentality[Orders from higher ranked military units]. SPARTANs are trained to virtually use anything they find to defend themselves. You have your own personal shield that can recharge, but if continued to get hit, you will be unable to recharge. SPARTANs are strong, tall, fearless. Natural born leaders. SPARTANs can make bonds with any unit.
Subcategory for SPARTANs
SPARTAN-II - Equipped with a Strong personal energy shield, and Parasite Worms can explode and damage your shield temporarily. However you are Slow, but strong in protection. Your basically invulerable if you keep a cool head. SPARTAN-IIs are usually 30-45 of age.
SPARTAN-III - You have no personal energy shields, but you are equipped with a SPI system, which allows you to be partially invisible for quite some time. SPARTAN-IIIs are usually 15-19 of age.
Marines - Infantry. Clad in basic ballistic armor. No age limit. Marines are what make the bulk of the military. You are numerous, qualified, and most of all, friendly. Within each other you hold compassion, and family. You'd risk anything to save a friend, even if he/she does not return the feelings back. Marines prefer to go in close, by either an Assault Rifle or a Shotgun. Your armor is tough against those already turned Parasite, bullets can possibly not pierce through it. Though it is malleable enough for a parasite to breach it, and turn you. You are strong-willed, have a strong sense of community, and would prefer to use teamwork.
Flood Parasite - You are infected. Your basically a Zombie, and you attack anyone that isn't one of you. You can either take the form of:
Combat Form - Weaponry can vary. You can leap great heights, and are most numerous. Swarming the enemy is your only option.
Carrier Form - Bulbous, large and slow. A single shot can make you explode, but you release several infection worms that can turn the other UNSC units to zombies.
Infection Worm - Crawl. Jump. Infect. Repeat.

History: Parents were murdered by the Covenant at the age of 17. Lived his teenage life as a gangster, apart of the 3rd Street Reds. He left at the age of 20 to join the UNSC, and was drafted into the ODSTs after showing exquisite results. A highly decorated veteran.
