It was dark in the forest and that was just like Jasper loved it. The vampire foundling smirked to himself as he made his way through the trees, his crimson eyes peer about for any creature smaller than himself that would make a good meal. Blood from his last dinner still clung to his coat, dried and cracked. He did love his hunting. Near him, a terrified creature squeaked then dove for cover into a bush and Jasper laughed, pausing as he tired to determine which bush it'd been.

Through the misty, fearful night the fire-pawed one tread. Though his fur was made of sun-stuff, his coat was dimmed in respect of the moon, which was halfway curved and lowering towards the distant mountains. Still, Siame never wanted for light -- he made his own -- and he trekked confidently through the rush of leaves, his paws padding softly and steadily.
He did not sneak, for alphas not hunting need not do so. He made his presence known not for any purpose, but neither did he advertise it, as his hunt-mate Shelh might. His head was high and strongly proud, his eyes a tad lazy as they watched the forest ahead.
He was in no hurry, for Paprika was watching the pack today. This was his day. Well, the end of his day. And what a lovely day it had been. Rolling in the fields under the sun, pouncing field mice and gophers for shear enjoyment, chasing any tail he thought deserved a bit of flirting from him.
He let out a pleased sigh and rounded a dense clump of bushes when he almost missed the night-dark male with the smell of blood on him. The smell of him was what really brought Siame up short. He froze, then snorted the smell out delicately. His blazing eyes looked over the handsome, midnight male, trying to gauge him.

Jasper froze as his dark surroundings were suddenly over taken by light. He scowled and whipped around to punish the culprit who had no doubt scared all of his prey away, but instead found himself squinting at a handsome male. He squinted for a few moments as he got used to the dim light then scowled. "You just scared my dinner off." Jasper grumbled to the other before sighed and kicking at the dirt. "Can't you like, turn that off? It's kind of irritating, especially at night." It wasn't that the vampire disliked light like his kin of lengend, but at night, it was unnessecary and unneeded.

The fiery cat smirked at the other's consternation, but he obligingly dimmed his light to its lowest point, a burning ember. Warmth seemed to roll off his coat and he shrugged his shoulders, fluffing his fur. "This is the best I can do, friend," his voice was like a low purr. "Perhaps if I sit still a while, a juicy rabbit or rat will be attracted by my warmth." Mischief glinted in his eyes.

The dark male continued to scowl, before he finally sighed and sad down, staring at the other. "I'd hope so." Jasper grumbled as he peered around, hoping that by some chance there might still be some small critter around for him to eat. After a few minutes of silently watching the darkness, Jasper looked back to the other. "So what is someone like you doing wandering around? You seem like the sort of guy who would walk around during the day, not the night..."

Siame sat perfectly still, not a whisker out of place. He kept his gaze on the other, but his ears were swiveled out to listen for prey. "Today," he answered solemnly, quietly. "Is my day off. The pack is in my friend's care today, so I got to wander."
His ear twitched toward the sound of something in the bushes. His voice turned to a whisper. "I have spent my day frisking. But I have been rather on my own for the most of it."

"The pack?" Jasper turned to stare at Siame, frowning in confusion. Sure, he'd heard of foundling packs, but he'd never actually met anyone that belonged to such a pack. His ears were tilted toward the bushes, but even as a noise sounded in a near bush, Jasper's eyes remained fixed on the other male. "You belong to a pack? Are they are blindingly bright too?"

"One or two," Siame replied. "Though none so bright as myself. I am Siamendes, of Apocalypse Pack." He purred and smirked, proud to belong to the largest pack of Foundlings. Scenting the air, he determined a small weasel of some kind growing curious of them was slowly approaching. "And you are," he queried, voice polite.

Ah the Apocalypse Pack. Jasper had heard of that one although he didn't really know much about it. "I'm Jasper. Not of any pack. Just Jasper." The dark foundling smiled slightly at Siame. "So why is it that on your day off you choose to wander around by your lonesome instead of spending time with the rest of your pack?" He asked curiously, "Are they annoying or something?"

Siame considered the question a moment, then sighed quietly. "Because I spend all my time with my pack as it is. Sometimes I need to go out and flirt a bit." He raised a brow at Jasper, then whirled suddenly and viciously pounced the small creature just exiting the bushes, pinning it under a paw as it struggled and screamed. "For you, dear Jasper."

Now Jasper really stared. Had the other male just called him 'Dear'? He blinked for a few moment, totally ignoring the cries of the weasel under Siame's paw. "......Thank you.... I guess...." He was trying not to blush and stepped forward to bend his head down and pull the creature from under the sun foundling's paw and bite down, killing it. "Care to share the dinner with me?"

With a smirk, Siame laid down, front paws crossed. "Not a problem. And I would be delighted to join you." He smiled, politely waiting for Japser to have his fill before he took any for himself.

(That's how my dog lays down. <3 )
Jasper smiled at the other male as he lay down across from him. There wasn't much meat on the weasel, so Jasper made sure to only take about half of it before he rolled the rest over to Siame. He didn't drain the thing of blood, like one might expect of him. He'd found that drinking only the blood of his prey wasn't necessary and wasn't near as filling as just eating it normally.
The vampire looked back over to Siame, watching him carefully, "So do you come around here often?"

Holding the half-eaten carcass between his paws, he began delicately stripping the meat from it. "Not often, no." He licked blood from his whiskers. "Otherwise I probably would have seen your handsome face sooner."
With a smirk, he used a claw to pick out the still warm liver, the tastiest bit of any creature, and offered it over to Jasper. He was a gentleman after all, and gifts were part of flirting and courting.

This time Jasper couldn't stop the small blush that spread over his cheeks and he glanced downwards toward his feet before returning his blood colored eyes to the other foundling. As he was offered the liver, Jasper gratefully accepted. Not only was it the tastiest piece of the weasel, but it was also filled with tasty blood. The vampire soon finished his meal and sat up to smirk at Siame, as he licked the blood off his paws. "Thank you. That was most excellent. But, perhaps you wouldn't mind if we walked together? It's not often I have the pleasure of being in another's company."
