I was in a T-mobile store the other day when a lady walked in wearing a nice pressed and cleaned white uniform with nametag and ribbons. First thought in my head, must be a NAVY sailor. Walked past her on the way out and noticed she was actually a NAVY JROTC student. All of a sudden the realization of how bad the green ARMY JROTC uniforms look hit me. Any one else here sick of the pickle suit?

hah yeah. trust me i feel the same way. i always look at my brother's old uniforms and all their ribbons and i'm like why oh god why hahha

I disagree. I happen to like the Army JROTC uniforms better. And, WE are called green beans.

We prefer the term pickles. But still, I prefer wearing the Digies over all of the Class As and Bs.

The Navy does have awesome uniforms, especially our Winter Blue Service Dress, it beats the normal Winters by a long shot and definitely beats the Summers. but too bad we had to change into the Summers for the whether.
we almost never wear the Khaki uniforms though.
i love the uniforms! in all my years of JROTC i have never missed a uniform day and almost always get a 10 or 9 on inspection.
Im a mean, lean, damn-good lookin machine!

YES! I hang out with alotta people that aren't in JROTC and they make fun of me all the time confused I'm really getting sick of it. But at my school it's not that bad cuz once you get a class A you move up from being pikcle to a christmas tree blaugh and I LOVE christmas trees!!!!
Plus me and my non-JROTC friends joke around that the ACU's are salad uniforms. smile

The Army uniforms aren't bad. The shoes are extremely uncomfortable though. And "pickle" is one of the nicer names at my school. Our mascot is a TROJAN... so we get called Green Condoms.... fun...

I am proud to wear Army Greens. I prefer them over ACU's (as long as I get to wear a beret.) My battalion has already stated the transition to Blues though. So far there are only 8 people who have them (the two color guard teams.)

Lol. I am glad that I am in the Marine Corp JROTC! We look good in our digies, also we have greens, modified blues, blues and Feild Greens (not in order! >.<) But next year I am going to be in a different High School so I will be in the Airforce JROTC there. X-x I have to give up my Enigineering Classes just so I do not have to spend an hour on the bus every morning and every afternoon! X n X

That was our name. Not as bad as yours but....yeah.

Honestly i don't like the green uniform but then again i think it gives us strength to stand up for who we are because we don't cower under people who call us names don't you think?
but then again . . . . I am tired of the green . . . sweatdrop lol

LOL green condoms The rejects thing is also used on us, but instead of colony its country -_- our mascot's a mustang by the way >_> They call us avocados sometimes too that ones retartedddd and makes no sense I dont like wearing the uniform, I feel like a grampa with the pants
