Shoooo... I've been absent for a while, huh? It's gotten busy. Kind of. Mostly my stupid computer got eated by the Win32/Virut virus. I'm still doing buttloads of work on it, but, hopefully this fixes it. I wish Michael were here to fix it. mad
Michael and I are doin' really good. We still miss and love each other like nutso. We're down to like, 30 days before we see each other again... which sounds like a lot, but we're halfway there from where we were a MONTH ago. ya know? Today is officially 1 month since we've been apart. And Gods, I miss him so bad.
I can't get the, "What if he doesn't come home alive?" thought out of my head. I don't know how to make it go away. It absolutely drives me insane. I live in a constant state of worry and terror. How do you guys make this thought go away?

I live in denial. That sounds horrible, but it's kind of true. I know Mr. M's job is dangerous and its only going to get worse, but I really chose to ignore that aspect most of the time.

I can't help BUT focus on it. You know? Like. I have this strike of terror in my heart. Everyone says medics are usually the safest. Especially Army medics. But... I can't help but worry. Ya know?

I dont think about it. I just pray that he and his fellow soldiers wil choose the right paths and keep their heads in the mission. I know praying isn't for everyone but thats what I do every night

Marilyn-J-Monroe I dont think about it. I just pray that he and his fellow soldiers wil choose the right paths and keep their heads in the mission. I know praying isn't for everyone but thats what I do every night I think prayers are prayers. No matter who they come from, or what deity they are going to. I try not to think about it. But, it sneaks into my brain. I've gotten to writing "Michael will come home safe and alive from Afghanitan." everytime I feel afraid. I 've got little slips of paper that say that, just laying all around.

I don't think about it. Yes I know my boyfriends job is to be the target incase there was an attack so as the carrier doesn't get hit. yes I know he's stationed in the main area if someone were to attack. Yet it's just easier for me not to think about it. Besides he keeps telling me he's immortal. after he accidently became a complete circuit i'd believe it. (he was changing a lightbulb in the ship, and they don't turn off the lights to do it, he ended up leaning on something, and completing the circuit. he's ok he didn't end up with a scratch, he just said it felt cool)

My husbands a Medic. He goes outside the wire everyday, save the days they don't go out. I don't worry about it. I mean, I worry but not to an extent thats ridiculous. I know that he'll be fine. He's well trained and so is his squad. I have complete confidence in them.

That actually helps, Cupcake. Our spouses are both 68W's. Do like... people bring wounded to him? Or does he go and GET the wounded? Is he on the combat field too? I hear medics are safer than most. I have confidence in Michael. He's lacking the confidence in himself, which worries me.
I have found that being PROPERLY MEDICATED ( I was going without my crazy pills in the morning. ONly taking them in the evening ) has helped immensely.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what happens. We rarely talk about his job. We do on occasion but, its not in depth. He'd rather talk about other things than what he's doing on a daily over there.
Does your SO have a specialty or is he a general combat medic.

Honestly, I think he's just a general combat medic. That's okay. I still heart my medic!

Mine is too. He's wanting to specialize when he gets home from deployment though. He's not sure if he'll be able to do the PA program now because he doesn't have enough college. :/ Which blows. We got to talk today! and he brought it up I started rattling off things like 68X and he got all confused and said... "How do you even know that?! " I then explained to him that I had thought about joining quite a bit last the few months, did a ton of research and if I did join I'd want to be a 68X. (mental health specialist) But, he burst my bubble and said I probably wouldn't make it past the physical. : ( He's was all, you have PCOS, scoliosis, hypothyroidism and a previous heard condition. You won't pass the physical. I lose. : ( lol.

MEDIC!!! Gosh...I played too much Team Fortress 2. ;-; -Rarely plays shooter games, but it was silly and someone bought her it-
Honestly I don't even want to think about deployment right now. He said once he would be willing to sign up to get deployed asap for money....then he told me he was joking and I was kind of mad. >: He shouldn't be playing with my heartstrings grr. DX Gets me nervous.
^^ I hope he comes back safely. I know it is nervewracking sometimes. Just keep on putting Xs on that calendar everyday and those 30 days will go by real smoothly. -has been putting Xs on her calendar for school and it has been working so far olol-
