so what's everyone's opinions and thoughts about getting a DNA test done?
have you gotten one? if so, who wanted it done and what happened after the results were given?
are you going to get one done? if so, who wants to get it done and is there any reasoning?

in my case, i think a DNA test is ridiculous and will be just a waste of money. i haven't had sex with anyone in over a month since before i even met cole. he's been the only one i had been having sex with.
and the doctor said that the baby was conceived on 12/11/2008. that's the day after cole's birthday. and he was over at my house from the 10th to the 11th (slept over). he said he doesn't remember having sex the day after his birthday. but that's because everyone was so ******** up off of beer, weed, and a bit of cocaine. so everyone was totally out of it. but we had sex 5 times really late at night which could've been around 12am or later on the 11th.
there's not even the slightest chance that this is anyone else's baby.
but cole's parents have had doubts since the very beginning that it's his. and he tweaked out today and tod me that we have to get a test done. because he just found out that his step-brother just randomly decided to get a test done on his kid who i think he said was about 5 years old, and found out that the kid wasn't even really his.
cole said that he believes everything i say with all his heart. but there was rumors going around before that i ******** my ex-boyfriend after he got out of jail. i didn't even see his face since sometime a while before he got locked up. there was an incident though where i gave one of our friends a handjob because i was told that cole cheated on me with my ex-girlfriend and i had also been hearing that he could be doing stuff with my brother's now ex-girlfriend (while my brother was in rehab). i feel stupid about it though because the one that told me that he cheated on me with my ex, was the guy i gave the handjob to. it was strictly one hand, and nothing else. and afterwards i washed my hands for 3 minutes straight with a lot of soap. but of course, in his mind, there could have been more that happened.
he's just getting all these ideas into his head from other people and what they say and what he just heard about his step-brother's situation. so he just wants to make sure mostly just to rub it in everyone's face and prove them they were all wrong.
so, we're going to be getting a DNA test done... it really upsets me, but i'll agree to it if it makes everyone else happy and shuts them the ******** up. i made it clear to him that i'm not paying for it. he said he'll pay for it, but i bet his parents might just pay for it for him.

I think they are ridiculous, UNLESS you are unsure who the father is. Then I think it should be done.
I'm planning on getting one done (after birth), just for the fact that a lot of Joes family apparently thinks I'm a slut, and doesn't believe it's his baby. He doesn't care, and knows it's his, but. I'm the type of person that lets stuff get to me. And I want to be able to be like, "HAHA, IN YO FACE, BIATCH." :]

I think perhaps if it was questionable about who the father is, it would be alright to get one done. Like on Maury... when the baby mama is unsure because they slept with this guy and that guy, and maybe the other guy. Other than that, though, if your guy still wants one done, even if you know you didn't sleep with anyone else anytime near when the baby was concieved, it would pointless. At least... I think so.

i think it's horrible when parents think the girl is a slut and isn't sure that the baby's daddy is who she says it is. my older sister had that problem with our dad and his wife, plus the baby's daddy and his whole family. the baby's daddy knows in his heart that the baby's his, it looks so much like him too! they still haven't gotten a test done, and he isn't even on the birth certificate.
cole's step-mom asked me straight to my face if i was sure that it's his baby and not someone else's. i was deeply offended.
cole really wants to get the test done just so he can rub it in their faces and he says he's going to have them buy even more s**t for the baby than they would have in the first place. xD
i don't really feel like rubbing it in everyone's face. deep down i'd like to, but i'm not going to. this is a really ridiculous situation in my opinion.
sure, some girls out their lie about who the real father is. one of my old friends who is 17 had a baby with this guy who's in his 20's. she cheated on her own boyfriend and got pregnant. but she tells everyone he's the father when the baby clearly looks nothing like him. her baby has blonde hair and neither her nor her boyfriend have that color hair.
i'm definately not like that though. and i'm sure it'll be more obvious in the features of our baby when he/she is born.

Also keep in mind that the date the Dr gives ou about conception is not definatly the date you had sex.
I'm with Ron and only Ron. We'd been trying for a baby from August til December. the Doctor put our baby's conception date on my Birthday. Which, sadly.. we didn't have sex on.
Because we were trying to get pregnant we were making sure to have sex on certain days for the best fertility times. And according to all the OPKs and fertility mumbojumbo we'd done it like rabbits the WEEK beforehand. We hadn't had sex since November. And on my Bday we went out to enjoy a trans siberian orchestra concert lol.. we were waaayyy to pooped when we got home for sexins.
So.. nobody needs to go nuts about the conception date being off. Technically your due date is a due month.. they'll let you got two weeks either way because dating a pregnancy is never an exact science. Even with fertility implantation. babys are all different

in my case, the conception date should definately be exact. because my boyfriend and i actually DID have sex on that date we were given.

I think its stupid, but if the guy has any doubts, then get it done. And when he finds out it is his, make him feel bad. Ben tells me he demands a paternity test and that I have to pay for it because he's not spending a penny on Gaige until he's sure Gaige is his baby.
But thats only when he's really really drunk. And hanging out with his mom. I swear her and a couple of people who I don't know drive doubts into his head and they come out when hes drunk. But when he's sober he's like, "I know Gaige is mine...and I'm fking proud! So kiss my a**!" <3
Its so ridiculous. Guys' parents are always like, "Well...it might not be his. You might be a whore." but if the tables were turned and the guys were the ones carrying...no. It would be, "Well, you need to step up because he's not a whore."
Y'know?
My mom wants one done too. I told her she's more of a whore than I am and her and Ben and his mom can all pay for the test done because I'm not paying s**t.
Some girls ruin it for everyone! D: I'm not (that much) of a whore!! Dx I know who I had sex with! But whatever. They can have it done and then apologize continuously because I can hold one helluva grudge. :]
I think its insulting to the baby, too. =/

i don't think it'd be right for the mother to pay for a paternity test when she already knows who the father is. everyone who has doubts should split the pay.
i told cole that if it has to get done, i'm not paying for it. i looked it up online and that s**t costs over $500!
that's insane! all that money could be going towards the baby!

Thats what I think! I'm not paying to find out something that I already know kind of thing.
Really?! When I looked it up they were only like $200! But still its a lot of money. $200 is enough money for my car insurance for two months! Five hundred is just ridiculous.... But I think if they're court ordered they're free, or nearly free. Not entirely sure but I think thats what I was told.... Eh. I don't pay attention, so I don't know. >w<

I say that the people who are not sure should ante up the cost. If you know who the father is, you should not be paying! I'd be ok about doing it if Alan needed it to feel ok - but I'd be pissed off that he wanted it done. Mind you, after all this time, It'd be kinda late in the game. Plus the boys are so like him that it's funny! The girls are more like my side and Tori is the absolute image of me - everyone says I just cloned myself for her! But, if the guy or his family are unsure, then I'd do it but they can pay.

If Richard wanted one, I'd do it. I don't see what the big deal is, especially since you have nothing to hide.

to me, i see it as money being wasted that could go towards the baby. but of course that's in my eyes since i know for a fact who the father is. hopefully they'll decide it's not needed after the baby comes when they see how much adonis will look like cole.
but then again, they might not see it. my older sister's baby looks so much like the father, but the father's own dad doesn't believe it. the father's dad actually had the nerve to call up my sister and ask to take the baby out for a few hours and was saying he wanted to start up a college fund for him, but that he still wasn't even sure the baby is really his grandson. my sister doesn't even know him and he's asking to take the baby out. but she was nice enough to offer letting him come over to spend time with the baby and so she could get to know him better. he refused that offer and said he wouldn't feel comfortable.
her baby's daddy is still not on the birth certificate. and yet knowing that he's not on there and he's a registered sex offender, she still allows him to take the baby out to take care of him while she goes out with friends. that's one of the most careless things i have ever witnessed a mother do. if it gets found out that this is going on, especially by our dad and his wife, she's going to have to go to court with the possibilities of her baby being taken away.
what i think she needs to do, and i'm sure our mom and stepdad would agree, is get the DNA test done, get him on the birth certificate, and go to court to make him pay child support. the baby is about 5 months now, and he still has yet to buy one little thing for his son.
but what she plans on doing is finding a new man and once she's sure he's sticking around, put him on the birth certificate.
she really needs to get things straightened out, get him paying child supprt, and find someone better. but she seems to have no intent on making him pay anything. she's not even making any money on her own nor is she making any attempt to find a job. she's been jobless since before pregnancy. and it's going to be tough for her to find a job after she stole about $600 or so from her old job at walmart in indiana.
