Is Metallica better off without David Mustaine? (Megadeth) Or do you think they would be better? I honestly think that Mustaine should still be in the band because they would make much more money. Including I prefer him over Hetfield. But then again, He slept with Kirk Hammet's wife. Mustaine STILL WANTS TO BE PART OF METALLICA. Mustaine Inteview WITH METALLICA (Interview is from 2002)

I think they're fine without him, I mean they're music might change if he were in Metallica instead of Kirk, and I prefer James over Mustaine.

I think if Dave was still in the band, Metallica would still be playing thrash.
They're still experimenting with their style.
Honestly I don't think that they will ever be the same as they used to be.

Metallica won't ever sound the same as they were when they started since how they're now in they're forties, but they're music is still kickin' a**.

Evil Paradox I think if Dave was still in the band, Metallica would still be playing thrash. They're still experimenting with their style. Honestly I don't think that they will ever be the same as they used to be. I agree with this statement. They would of stayed thrash. But the Black album wouldn't of came out if he did stay. Also, all the albums after that one. I like the old stuff more, but the Black album is an amzing piece of music I think Mustaine is doing great with Megadeth. Megadeth is amazing. I love his vocals and his style of playing. They aren't as successful, but as a metalhead I enjoy it.

i prefer james over dave any day, james is probably one of the most important things to metallica, his voice is different from anyone else wich makes them successful, i think he is probably one of the best singers to ever walk this earth

A lot of harcore metal fans turned away from Metallica when they made the black album.

That's only because the Black album was released during the time of the power ballad. Since Metallica had one on that album, a bunch of people thought that Metallica had became just another "hair band."

I think mustaine's split worked out for the best xd Without it we wouldn't have megadeath and all their fans. As much as i like megadeath, its great to slag off the real hardcore fans that hate metallica wink And metallica wouldn't have brought in kirk hamster. lmao. Metallica are, who they are. If mustaine was still a member who knows what direction the band might have taken whee
