When I didn't hate this series too much, I had a friend who said that she wish all guys in the world were like Edward Cullen. I told her that it cannot be possible because not everyone have the same taste in men, he's not real, and that she should date a new guy soon. Then, she told me I was wrong because wishing for a perfect man is not bad. What? That is really bad. Why?
Because there's nobody perfect in this world!!!
Perfection is boring, and rather than looking for somebody who's like that, she'd better look for someone with whom she can find a balance, and who compliment her.
The main reason why I hate this series is because Edward Cullen is all I hate in a man.

Honestly i dont think Edward is ruining the view women have in men for most women that is but i do think that girls obsessed with Edward r crazy

He hurt poor Bella
He's on Jacob (and mine) hate list
and more xD

well same thing for robert pattinson (the guy who plays edward) the girls are just in love with the character...Edward is in the minds of women and how much? i say a good 85, 90%. I hate edward and wish he would die in a hole so im in the percentage of 10 to 15% for people who hate him! With those girls who ADORE him, they want their men JUST like that! They want their men to sparkle and all that crap...so yes, i do think that...oh one more thing...EDWARD FREAKING SUCKS!!!!

Of course he's ruining the minds of women everywhere. They're so stuck on this image Stephanie has created that that kind of man is all they will be looking for and they won't be satisfied with a normal, happy relationship with anyone that is not of that stereotype.
And what's worse, many men/ boys will want to try to live up to that standard and end up hurting themselves either physically or psycologically. (Gosh, I hope I spelled that right...)

Well, most of the girls now are looking for a guy thats perfect. Most girls have already been like this, but i think it has gotten worse though....
