The purpose and goal of this guild is to provide a Christian place for intelligent discussion of faith, not debate. While those of other faiths are welcome, please remember this is a Christian guild; there are certain things we hold as absolute truths and we will not tolerate any form of hatefulness, mockery, or disrespect. These threads need to be kept clean; as in no vulgar language or explicit descriptive content.
Should there be a violation of these rules, the member will receive one warning to change the behavior; including the edit or removal of offending posts. If the situation occurs again, they will be asked to leave the guild or be removed from it for 24 hours. If they should decide they want to return after said 24 hours, they will have to write to the forum moderators and explain why they feel they should return.
If a thread becomes hateful or argumentative, it will be issued a warning to clean up. If it continues, the thread will be locked for three days to give a “cooling” period. After the three days is up the thread will be reopened for continued discussion, with the understanding that the offending posts will have been purged in order to prevent further bickering. If it becomes heated and argumentative again, it will be purged.
The discussion of other faiths is allowed for the purpose of learning about another belief system. However, statements such as “what you believe is wrong”, coming from ANYONE will not be tolerated. You can post what your faith entails, by all means, but outright attack is not permitted. If you can't intelligently discuss ANY topic, then don't enter the discussion at all. It is better to say nothing than to attack somebody.
