Is it just me, or do any of the rest of you have serious trouble with some of the more subtle puns and--even worse--innuendo? I have no trouble with similes and metephors, but for some reason puns and innuendo usually fly right over my head until explained to me.

He's dead now. 3nodding

When I was a kid puns pissed me off. I always told knock-knock jokes because the other kids lived for 'em, but I didn't know what the hell I was saying. stressed
I think that may be why it's so easy for me to accept when unusual or original symbols are used in movies. "Ohhh, a shoe! You like, walk in shoes. I get it. Hey, what's with all the lower-caseed Ts?"

I love puns. They are my favorite form of humor (but for your sake I'll try to avoid making any in this post) and the easiest for me to implement. Retasha and I frequently get into pun wars and I was hated throughout the College theater for my bad habit of making god awful puns. I guess they were feeling to pun upon by them (well, I tried...).

My favorite form of humor is random humor. That's why Family Guy is my favorite show.

I prefer dry or dark humor. Puns tend to annoy me, not because I don't get them, but because they are usually not funny. Sometimes puns can be humorous. Take "Clue" for example. "Who would want to kill him twice?" "I don't know!!!" "That's what I call 'overkill'"

Quote: Would it kill you to say something nice to somebody, anybody? Heh, it's ok, I'm not offended. I find the joke funny, he doesn't have to. I should add, that the humor of "Clue" mostly comes from the fact that it is so completely overdone and ridiculous.

I was going to go as Dominic Deegan for Halloween. the only problem was, I couldn't find a red and yellow scarf that didn't have a Gryffindor logo on it. *sigh* So me, my friend, my girlfriend, and my other friend went as the Light Warriors. I might be able to get a picture... So, pun-lovers, answer this one the Megaman told me: What kind of flowers did they find in King Tut's tomb?
