The port town of Averial teems with life in the mid afternoon. People rush along their ways, gathering foods, items, and what-have-yous around the markets, and scurrying about. The local pub is alive with chatter, booze, and even music. Many who are seated in the room have some sort of connections with a ship at the docks...some more than others...
One such man sits at a table with a few people of questionable repute. After a few hushed words (not that hushed is really needed in the loud chatter of the pub), the man in the tricorn hat tosses a small bag at the other two men seated with him. Upon smiling broadly at the contents of the bag, one of the men passes a folded cloth to the man. He takes it, examines it a bit, strokes his duo-braided beard, and puts the cloth in his shirt. After nodding and toasting the men, they get up and leave the pub. The man is left sitting at the table with a hooded figure who seems to have just been there the entire time. He turns to view the crowd a bit and takes a drink of his ale. "I do believe this could be a rather profitable venture..." He speaks almost quietly to the hooded figure next to him.

The head of the hooded figure seemed to bow down momentarily as a response. After a few moments of silence between these two, a woman's voice came from under that hood, thick with an accent of asian-pacific origin. "The bald one will betray his companion." She paused. "When the end of this things occur, he will take more than his share..." This much could have been said about any of those sitting at the table... The next part, however... "Then his share will be finished." Well... By this, she meant more than the money. She fell silent again and the hood turned so that she could face him, light reaching her face only slightly so that her dark eyes sparkled with more than light, but wisdom too...
Across the room, in the middle of the room, two women sat down at a table on their own. Their appearance seemed to draw hooting and attention from the men at the tavern - that means almost every person there. One woman, the younger one with long blonde hair tied into two messy plaits, seemed to enjoy the attention, flashing a grin and batting her eyelashes every now and then just to provoke them. She chatted happily and was soon chatting to the nearest group of sailors...
The other simply sat, leaning back with her arms folded across her chest, ignoring the rest of the room and speaking a few words to the other woman every now and then. Her long, thick black mane hung loosely around her shoulders and down her back, her face showed disinterest to her surroundings. She ordered a drink and sat down, only speaking a few words to the blonde every now and then... Until, amidst all the commotion, and with Bet riling them up... --"An' whatabout you, miss, ain't you can have any fun?" someone tried to touch her butt.
She stood in one sweeping movement, her feet apart in a battle stance as she drew her sword and pointed it at the nearest man. --"It wasn't me!" He snickered... "I should kill you anyway. If there's any doubt as to who it was, I'll kill each one the blame is laid on." --"Calm down miss!" Said another. "We dun mean no harm!" Then, a dark look came over her face... "I mean harm." She raised her sword, the first man before her clenched his eyes shut in fear and another man drew his own sword to stop her from killing his friend... The two swords collided and she turned to fight the intruder...
Here, Bet laughed wildly and drew her own sword, protecting V's back with a sly smile and the continued flirtatious batting of her eyelashes.

While the matter of the two other men really didn't concern him anymore, he still found a deal of amusement in his companion's insight. Soon, however, his attention is drawn to something a bit more interesting... "...a fight?" He swings himself around to get a good view. His back is, at this point, against the table. He rests one elbow on the table, making him lean a bit towards his companion, and holds his mug with the other hand. After taking a drink, observing the tussle, he grins. "So, Miss Hana, what do you see?"

Miss Hana's head turned slowly in the direction of the commotion. After a moment of thought, she spoke. First about Bet, then about V. "That one, she like it. The fight, is like life- Just another game." She was obviously speaking of the blonde one laughing her way through the battle looking like she was having oodles of fun. Hana then paused and her eyes took in the sight of the other woman. "But she, she the boss everywhere she go. Very sad life. Alone." Having said her peice, she looked back at her captain.

His face is filled with a compassionate expression for a mere moment. "...Poor girl..." He almost mutters... After a moment, he notices something...After glancing, and nodding at Hana, he takes a drink and sets his mug down. Upon standing, he sweeps through the sidelines of the scuffle for about five steps and in one swift, almost unseen motion, there is a flintlock to the back of a man's head... "I wouldn't be doing that, mate..." He leans in a bit and taps the man's shoulder, then holds out his free hand. The man reluctantly passes off the pistol he had just been pointing towards the wildly aggressive woman's head. "Goodnight." With a smile, he then conks the man with his own pistol, causing him to fall out into the floor. As two more men begin drawing their pistols on the girls, he ducks slightly into the fighting and points a pistol at either man. He fires, taking down each of the two. Maybe the gunshots would give him a change to take the spotlight a bit. Now, with his one round gone, he drops the gun that never belonged to him, and lets his own gun rest on his left shoulder, his right hand swinging about to try and stop the commotion. "Gents!" He turns to the two young ladies. "Ladies..." With some rather broad hand flourishes, he continues. "While I hate to interrupt such gloriously superfluous fighting, I am afraid I must ask you to make room for my conpanionand I to make our way out." He turns to Hana and motions for her. "We shall be out of your hair and you may get back to getting yourselves killed by these fine young ladies shortly." He turns slightly to the two girls and bows a bit. "My appologies, miss."

Hana stood with him, and walked close behind him, her cloak so long it appeared that the hooded figure was floating an inch above the floor. She kept her hood and head lowered so that none could glimpse her face...
The commotion seemed to stop for a moment at the sound of gunfire. Bet looked up at the stranger and liked what she saw. She kept her sword raised at the throat of the man in front of her, as if they were frozen in time rather comically as the room paused to let the other man through. Her eyes glowed softly when she looked at the man who had just drawn the entire pub's attention to himself. He certainly had hers... "Well Hello handsome!" She grinned widely- all her flirtatiousness now concentrated on him and she looked at the man she was about to kill with an expression that said if you distract me from this one I'm making this slow and painful and then keeping your head on a pike.
"Bet." V snapped. "Shuttup." It was so that Aramis had changed the feeling in the pub, and V was rather intrigued. However now was not the time. "By all means, Mister Tricorn, You're free to go as you wish." She then looked around for the barkeeper. "And where's my bloody drink?"

As Hana drifts by him toward the door, he turns back to V. "You may steal from me, you may kill me, but you must always know me." He takes off his hat and bows a bit, his coat swaying with his movements. "Captain Aramis Flynn." Though his name held some renown in a few places, he was unsure if it held it's meaning here...though after today, it very well may. He repositions his hat on his head and glances at the blonde with a wry smile. "Mi'lady." He backs to the door and gives a small flick of the wrist for a wave. "Ta." Once outside and on their way to the docks, he speaks to Hana again. "I think that went rather well..."

The demanded drink was rushed to V by a nervous bartender (Who then quickly scurried out of harms way) as Aramis Flynn was walking out the door. V downed it in one go, then let out a battle cry and the fighting once again erupted as though she had just commanded it to...
Miss Hana floated along next to Flynn and when they left the tavern, she allowed her hood to slide back a bit so that it circled her softly powdered face and she had a wider field of vision. This powder was a simple white powder that didn't mute her skin tone but simply softened her features and accentuated the darkness of her hair and eyes. Her brown, almond shaped eyes seemed to glow softly as she surveyed the world around her, a town filled with some rather large men, many of them thieves, some pirates, others simply two-faced. It also had women of similar standards and others. Her face, in response to Flynn, turned into a pleasant expression, it was a slight smile but even so, it lit her entire face... She remained silent this time, what had just happened was plain obvious without her insight... Back in the noisy Tavern, Bet turned back into a manic, laughing girl fighting and yelling out as if she were playing a very fun game... So concentrated on the fighting she was that she failed to notice V drag a rather large man up on to a tabletop...
along with her swordplay, V punched, kicked, grabbed and grappled anyone who came near until a rather large man towered over her, ready to strike down upon her head... She ducked out of the way, stepped up onto a stool (rested her sword on the tabletop) and grabbed his collar with her arms crossed so that when she pulled him closer his own collar choked him, then stepped on top of a table, dragging the large man with her. She took her pistol and shot into the air for attention. "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" She yelled angrily... The pistol now pointed at the large man's head. She was not a stranger to these parts: she liked to punish dangerous men... The pub's fighting ceased a little... Except for Bet who took this chance to stab through a man and smirk. V put away her pistol and withdrew a small knife... "Bet. We're leaving." She said, made an incision on the large man's back and released him so that he fell with a loud thud onto the floor, and (picking up her sword) stepped down, from table to stool to floor, then out the door.
Bet grinned. "Bye bye, boys." She flirted, sashaying as she followed V out the door and wiggling her fingers at them as a wave...
Back in the Tavern, the men rolled the large man over to see the incision that the dark haired woman had left... Bleeding profusely was the initial, "V" in between his shoulderblade and shoulder.

Pacing back and forth in front of a ship was a rather young looking girl in rather breezy clothes. Her loose flowing blond hair flew in every direction as she constantly turned back and forth after only a few steps. Her strides were long and quick, showing the girl was more then a little agitated. And why shouldn't she be? Her captain and fellow crewmate had left her behind to watch the ship. Normally she wouldn't argue the fact; however, considering the town was known to have plenty of merchandise to browse through, the navigator had wanted to search out for some new maps. The navigator, known as Sierra, let out a heavy sigh. If the man came up empty handed, there would be no holding back. This time she wouldn't let him talk his way out of it.
Stopping for a few moments in front of the board leading up to the ship, Sierra glanced out into the bustling mass of moving bodies that covered well over half the paved streets. "Where are they?" There was no real need for her to be impatient, yet the longer the two remained away, the more annoyed the girl became.

Not too long after Sierra mumbles to hurself, the hat can be seen through the crowd. After making an unseen snatch of someone's coin purse, Aramis strides up to the docks. Upon seeing Sierra, his smile can hardly contain itself. "Ah, young Miss Sierra. What a pleasure it is you've come to meet us." He almost shouts as if meeting a loved one again as he approaches her with open arms.

After catching the glimpse of the all too memorable hat of her captain, the girl took a deep breath to prepare herself and stood firm in her spot. Not a moment later the man approached her, open armed and as friendly as always. "Do you honestly think I would have waited anywhere else, Captain?" Sierra glared at the man, holding her right hand out in front of her to stop the man and her left hand on her waist to prove she was serious in her firm stand. "I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't take a step further without first explaining yourself to me. Why is it you left me here on the ship when we stop at a city such as this? I bet you didn't even consider the possibility that we could have needed another map or two, did you? Exactly what were you doing the whole time?"

With her hand on his chest, he stands there taking her verbal lashing as always, arms out. After the question leaves her lips, he lifts his left hand to her mouth and grins. "Ah, Miss Sierra, but a map is exactly what I have obtained." With his right hand, he reaches into his shirt and produces the folded cloth from earlier. Pulling his other hand back, he holds out the cloth to her. "I have my workings."

Upon seeing the man pull out a folded cloth from his shirt, Sierra grew silent. She let her hand fall and stared at the parchment with shimmering eyes. To her, maps were just as good as any treasure. Stepping back to give her captain some respectable room, and to avoid the urge to snatch it right out of his hands, the girl let out a welcoming smile as if she'd never snapped to begin with. "Welcome back Captain and Miss Hana." She then turned to Hana for her next statement was directed more at her then at Aramis himself. "I'm glad to see you've returned safely." She then returned her gaze to her captain while occasionally sneaking glances at the parchment in his hands. "May I see the new addition to our map collection?"

Hana lowered her gaze respectfully- it was an old habit from her island life, and then when Sierra finished speaking she watched her curiously as was her nature to watch everything with interest. It was true that it was dangerous for Hana to be wandering around even with the Captain by her side, but Hana needed it. To see new people, to read them... Besides, she felt that she protected Flynn and not the other way around. "Safely, yes. I have brought the Captain back to his ship without incident." She said rather seriously, vocalising her view of the situation, then lowered her gaze once more as the conversation turned to maps- That was Sierra's domain.

Upon the change in character, Aramis takes the parchment and slides it back into his shirt. He proceeds to produce the sack of coin he had swiped earlier (which contains a considerable amount for a small purse) and tosses it at Sierra. "You may...once you return. I do, indeed want you to take care of getting a new chart or two. Make sure we're up to date, savvy?" He begins to approach the ship by going around her. "Oh..." He stops and turns in one swaying motion. "And if there's any left over..." He grins pointing at the purse. "Enjoy." He then turns to take a few steps up the gangplank.
