Yes, I am fully aware that there is an Avatar: The Last Airbender thingie just a few topics below. However, I have Avatar on the brain. Plus, that thread hasn't been updated since 2008.

How do I love A: TLA? Let me count the ways.... Okay, no.

But hey, if you clicked this thread, surely you know how wonderful Avatar is? Yeah, it's a cartoon. Sure, the basic 'chosen one' plot id over-used and cliche. Yes, it has some anime-influenced styles to it. However, unlike in so many stories, the characters have depth. How many fangirls/boys have swooned over Zuko's endless angst, and the trials he underwent? How many people have sympathized with Aang's plight near the end of the last season? Who thinks Katara should just jump Zuko's bones already?

The series has it's own bleeding shipping war, for someone's sake! ("ZOMG ZUTARA/MAIKO FTW!!!1one!eleven!")
