Astra skipped down the halls into the throne room where her father ruled. Her little white dress flowed as she did. When she reached it and opened the big doors her brother, Kevin, was sitting in the throne. She frowned at him, but bowed like she should. "Brother? Should you really be sitting there?"
Kevin shrugged. "What does it matter? I'm sitting here now, arn't I?"
"I don't want you getting in trouble again. You know father doesn't like that."
"Pft."
Astra didn't normaly argue with her brother, she just frowned at him sternly.

Seth walked into the throne room "Kevin! What did i tell you?" he said darkly stepping up to the throne, "You have been causing a lot of trouble lately, cant you just lay off it for a week?!"

Astra shrunk backwards. She always hated hearing her father yell.
Kevin didn't move. He just stared Seth straight in the eyes. A lot had changed in the past three years. "No."
Astra gasped. She bowed quickly down. "Please forgive him father!"
"I don't want to be forgiven Astra."

Seth towered above Kevin "Your lucky ive been able to protect you from the dragons these past years. If they found out your dragon traits were recessive, they would have killed you by now. You'll never be close to becoming dragon lord, the next in line is Erela and her husband. So, Get out of the throne."

"But it's so comfy." Kevin smirked laying back in it with his hands behind his head.
"Brother, please don't!" She pleaded.
"Shut up Astra."
Astra's mouth slammed shut.

"Astra, you don't have to listen to him, how about you go to the kitchen and see if they'll make you a sundae." Seth told her softly and then glared at Kevin, "You know whats comfy?" he asked, leaning towards Kevin.

Astra reluctently turned around and ran out the door.
"A coffin?" Kevin asked.
Esther was reading in the hall on one of the couches. Astra ran passed her but stopped and went back to look at her. "What are you reading?" She asked tilting her head to one side.
"Some dragon history." Esther replied smiling.
"Oh."
"Where are you going?"
"To the kitchen. Father said to get a sunday."
Esther smiled softly. "That sounds good. I'll come with." Astra skipped marily down the hall. Esther laughed and followed her.

"Your face mashed into the ground." Seth hissed and picked Kevin up from the throne by his shirt collar.

Kevin laughed a little. "Aww come on pop. I was just making myself at home."
Esther and Astra made it into the kitchen. Two sundays were already waiting for them. Astra jumped up on one of the chairs and took a big bite. "Yummm." She said happily.
Esther smiled and took a small bite of hers.
"Where's Mike?" Astra questioned.
"I think he's in our room. I'm not sure though."

Mike walked in "Hello ladies." he greeted and kissed Esther's cheek.
"Well its not funny. Maybe i should just tell everyone what you are and let them kill you." Seth said and dropped him to the ground, then sat on the throne himself.

Kevin growled at him. "Why do you always treat me like your personal punching bag. Ever since mom died it's 'let's beat on Kev.' It gets old." HE frowned. He got up and brushed off his clothes.
"Hey hon." Esther smiled at Mike.
Astra seemed to be thinking about something. Esther frowned a little. "Something bothering you Astra?"
"Brother has been very mean latley...and not just to me. Father too." She looked at Mike and Esther a bit worried.
"I hope Father doesn't hurt him."

"You know he listens to Ethan more then me." Esther pointed out. "The may be uncle and nephew, but they act like brothers."
Astra took a big cherry off the top of her sunday. She stuck it in her mouth and smiled. She loved sweets.
Esther laughed as she ate the big bite.
Kevin glared at him. "I'm going into town" he said, turning his back to Seth. He knew that was considered a huge discarce, turning his back on an elder to him. It was obvious that Kevin had lost all his respect completly.
