Talk about Jason Newsted metallicas former bassist, even though hes not a band member of metallica he made them what they are today.

he was used to being creatve for his bands and when he joined metallica he didnt really get to be creative because james and lars called all the shots since they where the 2 original band members, so jason made up a side band called echobrain to get out his creativity, well james didnt want him to love echobain more than metallica, jason was all "how can i love anything else more than metallica?!" so afer 14 years he just quit to be with his other band echobrain

I never really liked Newsted. He didn't bring a whole lot to the band and the songs he wrote just were'nt Metallica. Where the wild things are...I mean wtf rolleyes

Newsted was useful for the deeper screaming parts in Metallica songs.
Bleh... He was an okay bassist I guess.
