they came to my town once, but I didn't get to go, and my step-brother did, and he got a high five from Kirk!

Lucky, whenever they come near my town, it's at least a 2 hour drive, and I can never go.

i am new to the whole metallica band but i do like one of their songs call "one" idk if you guys have heard of it before. i think is on the guitar hero songs, either way i just wanted to learn a bit more about them what songs do you guys think are the best from the band so i can listen to them.

lol, im pretty sure everyone has heard that song who listens to metallica. its a really sad story, if you dont know it its about a man in WW2 i think and he got blown up by a landmine, he lost his arms and legs and speach, hearing, voice and he was basically just sitting there like a vegetable in a hosptal hooked up to macines that are basically keepng him alive, he wants them to end his lif but he doesnt know how to tell them since he cant communicaete or anything so he remember from when he was little his dad aught him morse code, so he is ling there nodding hiss head to morse code saing "kill me
' over and over again, at irst the nurses are like "wth is he doing?" then one da a nurse finally reolizes hes doing morse code so he figures ot what he is saying and yea, really sad story

Actually, One's based on a book, James wrote it as the feeling of being but off from the outside world, but Master of Puppets a cool song, about being controlled by drug addiction

i can see why they would have used that story for the song, because theres 2 music videos to one and one of them has parts of what i was saying in it, so he was kinda cut off from the outside world because all he had to himself was his thoughts and he couldnt socialize or anything

the history of Metallica is sort of insane...they have many different people including Cliff Burton(R.I.P) who waws a very good guitarist... They went through their "alcoholica" days and then pulled away from them which to me was very inspiring...

alot of ppl are saying metallica has lost their touch..... i personally still love their new stuff, the classics are much better but i dont think they have lost it

yes i love their new album, i heard on the mandatory metallica sirius radio station that kirk only had 30% of his guitar tabs written or however u keep track of them and he worked his a** off to get the last 70% that he just made up as he went, i think it really payed off, i love the song "that was just your life" so upbeat and energetic and the chorus is amazing
