I love this idea! I will edit this post with a picture of our puppy. She is an English Bulldog, 7 months heart Photo added:  She was a gift from the SO, although it seems more his doggie than mine, I don't have that natural way with animals that some do. She is a cutie though!

Before we moved we had 5 lizards, two bearded dragons, two mountain horned dragons and a toad headed agama.

It's wicked easy to take care of lizards, well, depends on the breed, Beardies are easy as hell to take care of.

With beardies, you pretty much set it up, then its basic care, like feeding, and maybe handling them a bit a day to keep them nice and friendly.
I taught one to drink from a cup.

I love her, but boy is she bad sometimes.
Like, right now. She just went outside and dug the crap out of the yard and ran inside as soon as I opened the door and got mud EVERYWHERE!

We dont have any pet as of now but we are going to get a guard dog right before my hubby deploys
