It's been a long time since I've seen the girl that I really love, maybe somewhere around 8 years? Even though I've known her since I was small, it's funny how I only have one picture of her, and that's it. The last time I saw her was when I was ten. Funny, isn't it? I want to see how she looks like now, she's probably not a tomboy anymore. Hehehe... I doubt that, maybe her face is more feminine now.

Eight years; is she ready to see me again? Did she forget about me? Does she still have that ring? What if she has moved on in her life? Maybe she has remarried and has children of her own. This is a bad idea... I should just go home.

Come on Athrun, if you don't do this now then you'll never get another chance.
Standing there staring at the door, I raise my hand and hesitate before ringing the doorbell. I held my breath as I hear footsteps and just as sudden the door swings open revealing a blonde hair angel. She smiled at me and my heart leapt. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak, I just stood there and stared at her uncertain of whether or not this was a dream.
She's more beautiful than I ever could imagine.
"Athrun? What a surprise, I didn't expect you to show up this early."
I finally snapped out of my stupor and nodded my head slightly.
"Uhm, hello Cagalli it's been awhile hasn't it?"

A small blush rose in her smooth cheeks. "I guess it has been a while."

This is awkward. I shifted the weight onto my other foot.

"Would you like to come in?" She said to me, opening the door wider. "Sorry if it's a litle messy. I don't get a lot of company. Usually it's only Kira and Lacus, and Miriallia and Dearka sometimes."

"Thank you," I said as I walked into the small apartment. It was rather messy, but I didn't care. I felt sort of relieved... it didn't appear anyone was living with her. Good, she's not married. I may still have a chance.

Once I entered her home she guided me to the living room and pointed out a place to sit.
"Would you like someting to drink? To eat?"
I shook my head no.
"That's okay. I already ate."
She gave me a smile and sat in the chair across from me. We both sat there in silence. The most awkward silence in my life. I sat moving the heels of my feet up and down as I examine the contents of her house. I just couldn't make eye contact with her.
"So, how's life?"
I looked to her after she broke the silence with her question.
"Its been pretty good."
Pretty good? Its been like hell without you. "You?"
She shrugged. "Fine I guess."
She began drumming her fingers on her knees and that's when I noticed...
The ring is no longer there.

((Uhm, I realized that you two are writing this in the first person so I changed my last post to make it that way. But personally, I'm not use to writing in that form. sweatdrop ))

My concentration was broken by Cagalli voice.
"Athrun let's cut to the chase. Why are you here?"
We both knew the anser but I guess she wanted to hear it from my own mouth. I did'nt know what to say. It was a little weird just telling her.

NOTE: I know it was pretty sucky even if I hardly wrote anything. sweatdrop

"Well?" Cagalli asked with a hint of impatience.
I looked to her trying to think of what to say.
"Well, uh its been awhile since we last seen eachother and..." I sighed.
I really wanted to tell her how I felt about her, but I couldn't. She looked at me with one eyebrow raised. "And?"
"And don't you think we should catch up on old times?"
I mentally smacked myself as I gave her the most goofy smile imaginable. I could see the look of exasperation on her face which soon changed to a look of uncertainty.
"Uh, I guess so." She shrugged her shoulders and sat back in defeat.
"Actually there is something I need to ask you."
She looked up to me. I could have sworn there was a glint of hope in her eyes.
"You see, Kira and Lacus are having a get together with everyone. Their idea of getting to see everyone that we fought along side with in the war. They wanted me to ask you if you could come."
My voice started to drift away once I noticed the look of disbelief on her face.
"Its just that Kira wanted me to ask you because he said he was gonna be too busy to ask you himself. And I was wondering if you would want to go together, you know, as friends?" I stated as quickly as possible.
I knew fully well that that wasn't the real reason. But it was the reason that Kira gave me. It was probably just another plan of Kira and Lacus to get me and Cagalli talking to eachother again. I really doubt its working. For awhile she seemed to be in deep thought about it. Probably whether or not she wanted to show up at the party with me rather than if she just simply wanted to go.
"Sure. I'll go."
"Come again?"
"I said I'll go."

I smiled. It was the first real smile I had in a long time.
"When is it?"she asked tring to act liked she did'nt really care.
"In a couple of days," I responded tring to act casual, but failling misearably. But it seemed like she had'nt really noticed.

"Great!" Cagalli said, getting up from her spot on the couch.

Athrun watched her stand up. Following suit, he also stood.

After a few awkward minutes of silence, the phone rang.

"Uh, I'll get that!" Cagalli said, running out of the room.

Athrun scratched his head. Although Cagalli lived in a mansion and had unlimited servants to her hand, she got the phone herself. I must be making her uncomfortable... Athrun thought to himself.

"Back!" Cagalli said running back into the room.

"Great," Athrun started.

((Is it alright if I just switch this to the third person point of view please?))

They both stood there awhile unable to figure out what else to say to oneother. Finally Athrun broke the silence by looking at his watch and saying..."I think I need to take my leave now. There's something I must attend to in the office."
Cagalli nodded and walked him to the door.
"Well, I guess I'll see you at the party Athrun."
"Yeah, I guess so. Bye."
"Bye." Cagalli said as she watched him walk down the pavement to his car.
Once inside his car, Athrun jammed the keys into the key hole and started the engine. He swiftly checked the rearview mirror and fastened his seatbelt and then leaned back into his chair sighing. With his right hand gripping the steering wheel, he took one last glance at the front door to Cagalli's house and then stepped on the gas peddle and drove away.
Back in Cagalli's house, Cagalli found herself sitting at the desk of her own office in her house. She sat in her chair facing the window watching as Athrun drove away. After all these years... She thought to herself.
"Excuse me, miss Athha?"
Cagalli looked up when she was being addressed by one of her maids.
"Yes. What is it?"
"Uh...you've got another phone call from a Mr. Seiran, Miss."
Cagalli glared at the maid which made her scoot away from her in fear.
"I thought I just told that a*****e not to ever call here again after he just called me about some nonesense just moments ago." She half yelled to the maid.
"Yes...well..."
"Nevermind, I'll deal with it. You may go."
Cagalli watched as her maid shut the door to her office behind her. Without a moments hesistation she leaned over her desk and picked up the receiver of her phone dialing the number that would connect her to the right line.
"Hello?"

"Aw, dear Cagalli!" Cagalli sigh as she heard Yuuna's familure voice. "Golly, it has been a while since I've talked to you! How are you doing?"

"Cut to the chase, Yuuna." Cagalli muttered into the phone. "I thought I told you never to call me again."

"Cagalli, I know I made you mad, but please, give me another chance." He sighed into the phone. "I have tickets for The Phantom of The Opera this weekend. It would be wonderful if you could come."

"Actually, I have some-"

"Great! I knew you would want to go!" Yuuna interrupted. "I'll pick you up Friday at 7:00. I'm sending over the dress I would like you to wear."

"No, Yuuna, I am going to-" Cagalli stammered into the phone.

"Please Cagalli, don't thank me. It is my pleasure!!"

Cagalli gasped. "No, Yuuna!!"

"Tootles, Love!"

The receiver went dead. Cagalli looked at the phone.

"No!" Cagalli screamed, throwing the phone accross the room. "Now what am I going to do!" Cagalli screamed.

Athrun walked into the Embassy headquarters of the Plants with a smile on his face. After all these years he was given another chance to make things right between him and Cagalli.
"Good afternoon, Chairman Zala."
"Good afternoon." Athrun sang to one of his fellow workers.
And that was the pattern that followed him all the way up to his office on the top floor of this 20-storied building. That is up until...
"Why Chairman Zala you're in quite a cheerful mood."
Athrun stopped in his tracks and looked to his secretary whose desk lies only a couple of feet from the door of his office. For a moment, it seemed as if nothing could bring his day down that is until...
"Yes, well I was having such a wonderful day Ms. Campbell. Thank you for acknowledging that." He stated to her with a hint of sarcasm and a smirk on this face.
Meer on the other hand just sat there and continued smiling at him slightly leaning over the desk revealing her overexposed bosom.
"Glad to hear it." Not noting the sarcasm in his voice. "Coffee?"
"Uh, no I'm fine."
Athrun quickly walked into his office and closed the door shut behind him without a second glance. He always wonder why she constantly offered him coffee when he alwasy said no. But then again it was her job to. But Athrun never took the offer afraid that she may one day choose to slip him a love potion or something. You see ever since the day he hired her, she have seemed to have made it her full time job to get his attention. She was quite good at it though with her charms and a hot body to boot. But none of that seemed to impress Athrun one bit. Not unless he was looking for a overly hyper Lacus impersonator to spend the rest of his life with. And its because of this that Athrun kept asking himself everyday...why oh why did I ever hired her?
He sat down at his desk trying to forget about his encounter with his secretary and drifted his thoughts back to Cagalli.
I can't believe it. She actually agreed to going to the party with me. He thought to himself as another huge grin came across his face once more.
He reached over his desk and lifted the receiver of his phone and dialed a number. After hearing the phone ring for awhile the line was picked up from the other end.
"Hello?"
"Guess what Kira. She actually agreed to come."

"Really?" Kira's excited voice boomed over the receiver.

Athrun, pulling the receiver slight from his ear, replied, "Yes, she did."

"Wow, good job!" Kira said.

"Should I take her out before the party?" Athrun asked, pulling out a sheet of paper and a pen.

"Uh, no, I don't think you should." Kira replied. "This is a party, and I'm pretty sure parties have food."

"I guess you're right," Athrun said, putting the pen down on the desk.

"Chairman Zala,"

Athrun looked up to the door.

"Excuse me, Sir." Meer said as she squeezed through the narrow crack she made for herself. "You have a someone here to see you."

Athrun nodded his head to Meer. "Hey, Kira? I have a client. Can I call you back after I'm done?"

"Better yet," Kira started, "Why don't we meet for lunch later on? How does the Cafe Latte at 1:00 sound?"

"Great, I'll be there." Athrun replied.

Hanging up the receiver, Athrun stood up. "Who is it?"

"A Mr. Seiran, Sir. Should I send him in?"
PostPosted: Sun Nov 20, 2005 9:50 am

Cagalli begun pacing the room.
Just call him back she thought, smiling to herself as she reached for the phone. Oh crap, she thought again I don't know his number. Damm if he arrives before Athrun, refuse to go, if he arrives after Athrun I won't be here, but if he arrives at the same time as Athrun...
"Damm it all!"she screamed.
A maid who was walking by rushed in. She was quite pretty with long straight orange hair and freckles all over her face.
"Madam are you alright?"she asked quietly.
Cagalli turned to face the maid "I'm fine,"she replied bitterly, then smiled "You keep a record of all the numbers of people who phone here right?"
"Yes,"she replied.
"I want the number for Mr Seiran,"she would just phone him back and say no.
"Yes ma'am."
Two minutes later the maid was back with the number.
Cagalli took it grabbed the phone and begun to dial, two seconds later she hurled the phone at a nearby wall.
"Damm YOU!"she cried, his cellphone was off.

"Uh, sure send him in."
Meer bowed her head abit and turned to let Yuuna Seiran in. Before she closed the door behind him, she winked at Athrun and Athrun had to control himself not to show any kind of rudeness towards her for it in from of his client. So, instead he just ignored her. Athrun stood up and reached across his desk in order to shake hands with Yuuna.
"Mr. Seiran."
"Chairman."
Yuuna took the seat that was situated in front of Athrun and Athrun sat back down in his highly comfortable leather chair.
"So, tell me Mr. Seiran what business do you wish to seek with me?"
Athrun smiled at him with his most friendly smile, but his voice had a rather business-like tone to it. He had heard things about Yuuna Roma Seiran, but afterall they were just rumors. So the best that Athrun could do was to try to get to know him the best way he could and that was through business.
"Well, first let me say that its an honor to be able to meet with the Chairman of Plants himself." He beamed. Athrun on the other hand just sat there in silence.
"Yeah well, I wanted to discuss the means of terrorism with you."
"Terrorism?" Athrun raised his left eyebrow.
"Yes, not to say that it directly involves you or anything but I happen to have gotten a certain tip from someone that a certain important official in Orb may be target for a certain group of, shall I say, Coordinators who still haven't taken upon the same kindness towards naturals as say yourself Chairman."
Athrun continued to stare with his eyebrow raised. "And you want me to...?"
"To sought out these so-called hooligans and deal with them. Afterall they are, shall I say, your people."
Athrun no longer wore the look of friendliness upon his face, but business was business. "I see your point. Would you mind telling me who this person is that I supposedly need to protect from these...as you said hooligans?"
Yuuna smiled abit nervously. "Oh, I wish I could but its probably best if I don't mention the name for protection. Afterall this person is very dear to me."
Athrun sighed. "Alright. I'll see what I can do but I'll need some more information about this lead."
"Yes, excellent. I'll see to it that you get that needed information. I'll bring it in for you early Friday morning what do you say?"
Athrun almost declined the offer but then ended up agreeing to it. He really couldn't make up an excuse in time to explain why Friday wouldn't be good for him. And with that Yuuna was up and out of his office. Athrun learned all that he wanted to learn about that Mr. Seiran character. And came to the conclusion that he was nothing more than a trecherous pansy. However, Athrun needed to get back to work in order to forget about his recent ordeal. And yet somewhere in the back of his mind he couldn't help but feel that this certain someone Yuuna was talking about was Cagalli.
---
Meer sat at her desk filling out paper when Yuuna came from Athrun's office. He walked up to her, took her hand, and kissed it. "Good day, Miss."
"Good day, Sir." Meer said in a flirtatious sort of way as she eyed him walking down the hall until he enter the elevator shaft leaving.
He seems like a worthy mate. Meer thought to herself. But don't get her wrong, Athrun was still her number priority. And speaking of which, she thought back to before Mr. Seiran had appeared to when she was spying on Athrun when he was talking on the phone to what seemed like a close friend. She narrowed her eyes remembering the fact that it seemed that her Athrun was happy about going to some party with another girl. Whoever this girl was, she thought, she is going to regret ever getting in her way to Athrun's heart.
