    Below the heavens an isolated valley laid quiet and hidden for some time. There was a dense forest surrounding it filled with clear, winding rivers. Meadows filled the center, and the ruins of an ancient kingdom stayed desolate. This was a paradise... or so it seemed.
In this paradise, there are vast treasures to be found. Scattered through the mountains and meadows. The most valuable treasures, however, and the ones most coveted, are located within a vast island of ruins in the middle of a large, glassy lake. However, these treasures are not left unguarded. Many brave treasure hunters have tried to retrieve the treasures within but few, if any, have prevailed.
Upon hearing such rumors, treasure hunters passing by the area are lured in by the promises of riches.
.:Setting:.
Isolated, treasure filled ruins surrounded by a lake.
A vast forest surrounds the lake, and a small town is
on the edge of the forest.
I made a nifty little map to help further illustrate things. 3nodding
[[ the ^'s are mountains... the sticks with spikes are
trees, and the squiggles are water. ]]
Everyone is supposed to start by wandering through the
forest which surrounds the lake in the middle of the valley.
To get to the island, which is in the center of the lake, you
have to cross the lake somehow.
Also, the island it self is just a giant city... or what used to
be one. Aside from an occasional plant that sprouted up
through the rubble, it's rather devoid of plant life. But aside
from that, once you're on the island, please feel free to have
creative license on what you see in the ruins. I hope this
helps make the area easier to figure out.

Bio: Tsura used to be a well-known treasure hunter in her homeland. When she came to the valley she fell in love with it and found it more precious than the treasure she was searching for. Though she came with a group for only the treasure. All were well-known, and well experienced. They were all unprepared for this place and died as all, except for Tsura.
She managed to live, but was blinded by the creatures of this place. Tsura survive living there in the valley alone for all those long years, waited and was always warning treasure-seekers. Her name faded from history and all that were alive that knew her have past.

Personality: Flirtatious, childish, impulsive, and easy going. He can be a bit immature at times and likes to joke around, but when the time comes he can be as serious as needed. His flirtatious nature doesn't seem to get him anywhere with his childish side constantly overpowering.
Bio: Koji, and his twin sister, grew up alone after they had turned 8. They're parents were killed and the children had narrowly escaped death themselves. When they pair got older, Koji separated from his twin due to constant arguments and took up the life of a treasure hunter.
Weapons/Abilities: Heightened speed and strength. He can also some limited shadow abilities.

Personality: Acts like a little girl at times when happy, acts too evil when angered. But over all a nice girl, that loves to help! Loves hugs!Loves keeping secrets.
Abilities: Creating imaginary friends that help her fight. You could say she is a bit rusty with her magic, maybe a lot...
Weapons: Machete and and imaginary friends.

Race: He's a Dark Elf/Dunmer
Story: He was born in Morrowind in the town/city of Vivec, but his parents had to give him up for adoption all because the Argonians broke their peace treaty. The Argonians invaded the southern parts of Morrowind (Tear, Narsis, and Mournhold). Luciano's parents feared the worst so they sent him away to live in Gaia, in the Town called Durem, where a Hispanic family took him in and raised him as their very own. At age eighteen his parents told him where he was really from, so he went to Morrowind, learned the natural ways of his people. Lived there for two years and then moved back to Gaia in the town of Barton. He has lived in Barton ever since (because it's cheaper there than it is in Durem). Now he works part time at Durem Depot as a store clerk, and he is a Journalist for Durem's local newspaper.
Personality: Out-going, laid back, relaxed, sometimes he gets a bit cocky. He's a bit playful- not flirty but he jokes around a lot. He has temper issues, and he gets depressed when he can't help anyone.
Abilities: He can manipulate Dark Matter for a short period of time, he can read body language, good swordsmanship, he can temporarily perform mind control, he can speak to animals (mostly felines. He likes carrying on conversations with them), and his hand-to-hand combat skills are as a Dark Elf's skills should be (he does Tai'Chi, Jujitsu, Fighting style of the Leopard, and your Standard Elvish fighting style- Dunmer Military techniques, along with Dunmer kick boxing).

Bio: Being the last spell caster of her family, she heads out in search of other spell casters. She's still not fully trained, and there's more things she needs to learn. She longs for a teacher or someone she can look up to. Being not good with directions, she gets lost.
Her family was killed by some blood thirsty vampires. She witnessed happening but couldn't do anything. She despises vampires now. Even being in the presence of one makes her so angry. Out of all her family members, there was one she was closest to. Her brother. Although she never seen her brother die, she believes that he's still alive. She hopes she can see him again, and live with him.

Appearence:Nic has light chocolate skin, with large black eye that become red when she uses one of her powers. She has short, black bobbed hair with red dyed on the tips. She rather short coming in somewhere are 5 feet 2 inches. She has a pair of small demon wing. slightly pointy ears and two small horn on her head. Currently wearing: black Capri pants with a tight leather tie up jacket and a blue shirt.Carries a dusty looking backpack, which holds two other sets of clothes and other...stuff.
Personality:She an very curious person and often wonders around looking for interesting things. She's open-minded, and slightly careless, but for all this she is quite intelligent. She doesn't like being bossed around, though will listen to reason if given a good reason. All spunk and very little dry humor make up the tail end of Nic's glowing personality.
Bio: Nic isn't sure where she comes from, which might or might not be for the the best. She was abandon on train at which time she looked about 4 (though that was 20 years ago) and was raised by the owner of the train station. This might be the reason for all her traveling. She has studied fighting from many different places and people before she began her journey to find out something about her people and her family.
Weapon(s) or Ability(s): Retracting claws, ability to fly, touch skin, surprisingly strong teeth, good amount strength (more then a human) and being able to move pretty fast seem like natural trait of her people. As well as the ability to see in the dark, great smell, and wonderful hearing. She can also track things pretty well. Her favorite weapon are knifes, though she carries a special (it doesn't break or chip or anything, it still looks brand new) spear on her back that when twisted the right way has two spear head pop out (she has yet to figure out how to do this). Because she not sure how old she is, she not sure what other power she might have since she still appears rather young. What she does know is that when she's anger she coughs smoke and a bit of fire, she can move things around with her mind if she ever focuses (yeah, right) and she can hear what people are thinking (she still can't control when this happens).

Personality: She is warm and caring, but is feisty and loves challenges. She a magic wielder, who happens to prefers a bow and arrows. She's rather open-minded and can feel danger before it comes...sometimes.
Bio: Xipil is a half blood. With no idea who her father is. She's tracking her father or she hopes she thinks. Raised by her strong willed mother, she is stubborned and free-spirited.
Weapon(s) or Ability(s):Though trained in magic, she is a great Archer. She almost never misses a shot. She can use her hunter daggers and sword if she needs to, but she prefers not to. Agile and quick, she can out run a lot of things, both mystic and normal. Because she is a half -blood, she has added ability. She can see in dark, heal without the need of herbs and create metal...anything...out of thin air. The metal things she can create don't last long, if she doesn't concentrate.

Koji had been walking alongside the river since noon and as the sun went down he finally reached the hidden valley. It was a beautiful sight. Everything was splashed with with the day's last rays of color. He smiled and continued moving on, the lake wasn't in sight yet so he had a while before he could rest. Koji's feet were killing him; he had been wearing a suit and dress shoes while in town for some... 'business' he had to take care of. It wasn't until he had been in town that he heard of the valley and it's supposed treasures. "I really hope this is worth it.."

Kaneh wakes as the sun sets. "Finally! Hmm its going to be a lovely night" She stands and stretches, looking around, she suddenly realizes she is lost. "So much for finding treasures..." She heads off in a random direction, deeper into the forest, scared.

By now Koji was just about fed up with this hike. As beautiful as the night was, his designer shoes were now coated in mud, and he had torn the sleeve of his coat on a stray branch. I just bought this too...he thought. Before he could mumble out another insult to his surroundings, his eyes swept the horizon to find that he had broken out of the dense forest and landed himself at the edge of the vast lake that surrounded the ruins. "Well, well. What do we have here?"

Kaneh, feeling tired with her eyes half closed, accidentally walked right into the lake, the cold water making her jump out. Feeling someone nearby she looks around, but after seeing no one, she sits on a boulder next to the lake to dry. "I thought this place will be crawling with treasure hunters!" She turns to an imaginary friend, "What should i do now?...okay i will look around" She stands, & starts walking towards the lake, but stops, feeling as if thou danger is approaching, she waits...

 [[er... this is an additional character who was my co-owner's in the original thread... I'm keeping her in for now because she's a guide to all who come to the ruins. I'll add her profile in a sec]]
A light breeze blew across the meadows on the island, the grass dancing as it brushed through them. A small fire lit up the ground near some of the many ancient ruins in the meadows. There a young woman sat on a fallen pillar of the old kingdom.
"Down by the reeds, a twisted path leads... to Banshees who breathe out, a cold winter's breeze..." The melody past from her lips. Shortly accompanying her voice was the playing of her flute. She played for herself, like always as the light slowly faded from the valley.
Koji's ears perked up at the sound of the woman's voice. There's somebody else here? Down by the reeds, night-blooming weeds embrace those who go dancing in sad moonlight dreams~, the voice continued.
AS he heard the song continue, a splash came from somewhere else on the lake's shore. He looked around to try and find the origin, but turned his attention back to the island after a few seconds.If I'm lucky they might not be after the treasure.. His pace slightly picked up at the thought of another person around 'his' treasure. Even if it was only some human who wandered off to find a peaceful place, there was still the risk of them stumbling into treasures that could be his.

Kaneh looks around as she hears very faintly a woman singing. She begins to walk in the direction of the singing, when doing so the sense of another presence is getting stronger. "I wonder who ever it is if he /she is a friend or a foe?" She smiles hoping it will be a friend, Kaneh takes a hand of her imaginary friend and starts running towards the presence, excited to greet the stranger.

If you really thought about it, the lake was almost a moat surrounding the entire ancient city. Bridges lead from the shore of the main island to smaller islands surrounding it, and finally the other side of the water that bordered the forest. Nearly all of them were broken now, leaving pillars with occasional scattered stretches of stone in between. Sitting on a broken pillar on the main island's shore Koji saw the woman he had heard. "This should be easy..." He said to himself with a smirk. Before he could make another move, his eyes caught sight of another figure. This must have been the one who caused the splash. Maybe she is after the treasure.. though, she looks so young and innocent. Still, I'm not taking any chances. His mind was set on reaching the ruins first, and with a series of quick movements, he maneuvered himself from pillar to pillar, ending in a small stretch of bridge towards the middle of the expanse between the shores. Koji's eyes focused on the woman. He sang as she played her tune, "Nobody knows, nobody sees... the Sirens of Oakvale, down by the reeds.."
Tsura stopped playing her flute when she heard the man's voice. She listened to how far his voice sounded, and caught the direction it was coming from; he was in front of her. She lifted her head to his voice and smirked. "Be careful...it will hear you..."
A large shadow past under the remnant of the bridge. A roar-like sound came from the depths of the dark lake below and splashes of water hit the surrounding area. Two large tentacles flew out of the water and crashed down onto the remnant where the man was standing.

Kaneh sees a man, and smiles, happy to finally greet someone, but he moves quickly away onto some type of bridge in the lake. She is about to yell to the man, when tentacles flew out of the water. She freezes in place and stares in shock for a moment, her friend shaking her from her fright. She notices a woman far off, and turns back to the man, "I should go help him" She heads off towards the man, and ends up at the edge of the bridge. "hey there!!!" Then she sees a shadow in the water, finally realizing she got into a bad situation.
