RP Contest!
Alright, for this lovely little Gem!
You must come up with a response to the woman in the prompt! Simple, right? Well, it may seem so, but it'll be harder than you think!

Entry Rules:

2) Keep in mind that the story you come up with is the story behind the little gem's appearance, please be willing to stick to what it is you came up with!

4) You must post your response with the code provided.Prompt You come upon a strange woman, not nearly so friendly looking as the usual owner. She stares you down and smiles, a smile almost kind, but menacing as well. With a rather dark tone she speaks as she pulls out a beautifully crafted gem.
"Just take a look at this pretty little Jewel."
"It glimmers a little more than others you might have seen, it's a bit special. More to her than meets the eye." She smiles tenderly at it, a manner softening her look a little, looking back up she speaks again.
"The cost for her you ask...well, being what she is...perhaps...an ear...a leg? Oh, you don't wish to part with such things...Alright then...Spin me a tale of where she came from and I'll let you have her." Sitting back in a rather old looking rocking chair she smirks at you, "What will you bind to this little amethyst princess as her story?"

Answer to Prompt"High in the mountains of Siberia, a young boy had been dared by his friends to enter the caves and bring them back an amethyst gem. He had tried to get out of the dare, but his friends had taunted and jeered at him, calling him a frightened baby. Eventually the boy had given in and entered the cave to find the stone."
"Upon entering the cave, the boy was immediately remorseful of his choice to find the stone. The walls of the cave were bare and chipped from others who had attempted to find it. It appeared as though he would return with nothing to show for his efforts, but decided to follow through a tunnel and at least say he had done something to prove he wasn't afraid of trying. He traveled for hours through randomly chosen paths until he was sure he was lost, then he saw it."
"In the dead end of his recent path was a brilliant stone. It was purple in color with white stripes through it and feathers to the side with pink tinting the middle of one of them. He rushed over and picked up the smooth gem and grinned, he hed found something he had not believed would be there! He raced through the caves with the gem and finally ran out into the bright sunlight. Shielding his eyes, his shouted out to his friends who walked to look at his find, not believing him."
"Their eyes widened at the sight of it and they quickly raced back to their village to show the rest of the villagers what he had found. Several years later the mountains were completely bare of any trace of stone and people came from far and wide to barter for the amethyst. One woman examined the stone and proclaimed it a fake."
"What else could it be though?" He questioned as she handed the stone back to him.
"Well...There are some people have gems with feathers like these attached could be pets and grow into animals," she replied.
"How could that be possible?"
"Well, I’ve seen them. I'm not sure how they evolve, but they do. You should take good care of that gem."
"A few weeks after that many people were attempting to barter, though for a different reason; they now knew it was a Gem Critter. The locals name for the beautiful creatures that evolved. Eventually you bartered it off didn't you?"

Answer to PromptA Tragic FairyTale Her family was royalty pure blood, of a beautiful race. She was the first child of her parents. Her mother was deeply in love with her husband but he wasn't loyal to her. He had another child with another woman before Amy was born. The child's name was Kale, he grew up in a bitter world, unloved by everyone but his mother. He knew his mother should rightfully be Queen not Amy's mother! So Kale created a devious plan to steal Amy while she was still a Gem, and get rid of her before she could take his place. He wanted to tell everyone what his father had done. On the next full moon, he snuck in to Amy's room and stole her from her home, from her mother and took her to be sold and made into jewelry for humans! (first-person)This woman that i now see in front of me found Amy and took her from the crook that she was sold to. This princess was stolen from her home, her life! She needs a new life, away from all of the crooks and lies that she was conceived in. I hope you enjoyed it! <3 -<3 Rave.

"Listen up!" I said to the woman."For this is the tale of the Jewel in you pocket."
"Do you know abut the days in which there was an Atlantis? No? Well let me tell you. "
"Atlantis was a beautiful city. Made of Amethyst and Sapphire and even the lesser known Blue Opal. Its submerged spires spraed towards the top of the ocean. They were not man made but a gift from the ocean to the lost people."
"The people were happy with there life. But they soon found out that they could not bear children. They were the only race of Atlantians. Men no longer took wifes for they were no longer needed. Soon the women cried to the ocean."
"The ocean was kind and tender but could not make them fertile. So out of the tears they shed came 10 gems."
"They pulsed with life and were promised to become a critter. The women's tears now had fofilled their wanting."
"There was an Amethyst, Blue Opal, Opal, Diamond, Ruby, Peridot, Jade, Obsidian, Amber and Tiger's Eye."
I paused.
"So that is my tale. How you came by this egg is a greater mystery than how Atlantis got on the ocean floor."

Answer to Prompt
It all started when a beautiful princess married a peasant. Even though he was more handsome and sweet than any prince could ever hope to be, the princes were upset with her decision. Their love was rushed; she needed to marry before she became queen.
The first day they met she fell head over heels for him. He told her stories about intriguing places he had travelled to. Never once in their whole conversation did he mention his past, but that didn’t seem to bother her. She looked deep into his eyes as he told her all of his adventures.
The next day, she returned to where they first met an old tavern where all the men seemed to gather. This time though, she brought the royal guards. They had refused to let her go anywhere unless they accompanied her. Immediately as she walked in, thousands of men swooned at her feet, but she just walked past in order to get to the man she seeked. Maybe that day she wasn’t paying close attention, but the man she had met before seemed to grin evilly at her royal guards.
This time, the peasant asked about her adventures. She simply replied, “I stay at my castle.” This peasant wouldn’t except that as an answer, he made her go into detail about her life. She smiled happily and told him everything.
By the time they finished their conversation, in was nightfall. The guards were urging the princess to get a move on, but she just wouldn’t budge. “Well, I think you should go then,” the peasant exclaimed, “but before you do, marry me?” The guards immediately rushed her out of the tavern. The princess screamed in protest, but she was unable to do anything against them.
It was days before the two met again, but the peasant knew she would return. The days they were away from each other, Amethyst was convincing her father to let her marry. On the third day, her father broke and told her that she could marry him if he approved.
When the cavern door opened, the peasant smiled. The king just gave him a glare and sat across from him. They talked all day, the king would ask the man a question, and the peasant would answer. If the king was satisfied he would nod, he nodded a lot that day. By the end of the day, the king was ready to give his verdict. A small yes slipped from his lips. Both peasant and princess were ecstatic and they returned to the castle together.
There was a week before the coronation. In that time, the couple conceived a gem. When the princess realized this, she was so overjoyed she told everyone. The king was not very happy, but he had trust in the two. The night of the coronation the princess laid her gem. Her peasant husband almost seemed upset about the gem; he frowned when she talked about it.
When the coronation began everything was normal. The king and queen had given up their crowns to the new aires and the town was in celebration. Both the old king and queen left the house after coronation and went out to party. Amethyst and her new husband decided to stay behind and watch the gem. It was that night that it happened.
Amethyst was sleeping next to the gem and her husband walked in. From the moment he had laid eyes on her he had been planning, planning how to get the throne all to himself. Finally, tonight, he was going to kill her. Quietly, he did the dirty deed and hid his wife, and the evidence, out in the forest where no one could find it. The gem, he carelessly tossed out the window.
That gem found its way into a carriage, and that carriage found the way to this city. That is how you found it. That poor, lonely gem was sitting on that carriage. You knew what it was, so you picked it up and took it in. Little did you know that gem is the lone aire to queen Amethyst’s throne.

Alright, it was long and hard on the decision, the entries were great! However there has to be a winner. x.x
