The tent seemed much smaller on the outside. There were circular, rusty red tables arranged all around, each with rather large dice. There were three of them on each table, and by the looks of it, there were about ten sides on each one. At the end of the room was a mysterious old man with crooked, yellow teeth, arranged in a grimace (or was it a grin, you just can't tell) and gesturing towards a large wooden sign hanging above his head. I still don't know how the silky green cloth could hold up such a heavy thing as a sign like that, but then again, twenty tables and a counter couldn't fit inside a tent not much bigger than a gardening shed, either. If you examined it closely, you could make out the faded letters on the sign:

Sounds fair, I thought. I decided I would play.To play, simply post here. under "Post Action" select "Roll Dice". Select "Ten-Sided Dice" and, depending whether you are playing Regular or Arch, enter either 3 or 1. Roleplaying here is of course not necessary, but it would be nice if you did something like that when you first walk in. If you win a prize, Mr Greenrune will send you something. This something could be anything, but since you can come here and roll the dice as many times as you want, there's probably not going to be any prize worth much more than 1000 gold. Thank you for playing, and have fun!

I sat down at the table closest to the center, and picked up all three dice. Here goes nothing, I thought, rolling the dice on the table. A 7, a 1, and an 8. A total of 16. "Looks like you're going to have to try again," said a raspy voice behind me. I jumped. It was the old man with crooked teeth. I hadn't seen or heard him leave the counter in the back. That's when someone else walked in.

I walked in with my coat over my shoulder, laughing at the man that played before me. I took three dice and rolled them I hoped for the best and what happened next surprised even me.
... Instant karma.

"I was never told that you were allowed here!" I said furiously, trying unsuccessfully to hide my anger. "Well, you must have been misinformed then, eh?" The man said. He winked. "Roll the dice, roll the dice, and then we will see."
Reluctantly, I sat down at a nearby table, and I rolled all three dice. In the corner of my eye, the old man smiled slyly, and I thought I could just see his finger flick towards the dice. A moment later, they stopped, and I peered over to see what I got. "Let's see, an 8, a 3, and... another 8. That's nineteen total." I squinted at the wooden sign on the other side of the room. "Nineteen... nope. Well, I guess... wait! That's a Demson, right?" "Indeed." The man grinned, or grimaced, widely. "Here is your prize." From behind his back (just like the animations on television) he pulled a small package. "There you go, congratulations." I snatched the box out of his hands. "Where did this come from!? Thin air?" "Perhaps," The old man said mysteriously. "Well, I suppose you can stay here." I said, eyeing the box suspiciously. "As long as I hear no trouble from you." "Oh, certaintly not, sir." The old man bowed, then wheezed and started into a fit of coughing. I walked out of the room, opening the box.

Dice? I thought, examining the sign, and then glancing at the tables. Sure, why not? I sat down and rolled the dice, my fingers crossed...

Disappointed at my failure, I picked up one die and rolled it, hoping I would have better luck this time...

"Aww, what the heck," I said loudly, and some of the other people in the tent looked at me in a strange way. I got up, about to leave, but I rolled the dice once more, just in case...
