The heat of the day was slowly losing it's hold over the grassy plains as the sun kissed the horizon and made it's way to it's resting place. It was for the reason that a certain water lioness left the lake she had been wading in while lost in thought. She had lost a good amount of weight, though she somehow managed to keep herself from becoming sickly. She'd eat...just not much. Her appetite for food and appreciation for life left the day that the lion she had come to see as a father figure..Akai and her best friend Koko abandoned her. Shaking the water from her pelt, she began walking...aimlessly and with no destination. Her head was lowered and her eyes fixed on the ground. Worthless.

Night or day, the demon was always on the prowl. Snare lay draped across several branches of a thick tree, hidden in the protective shadow of it's leaves. His lips curled to a smirk as his eyes alighted on a slightly familiar form. She had grown since he'd last seen her, but this was most definitely the little ward of his escaped toy, Akai. Oh delicious vengeance... He dropped down from the tree and chuckled low as he stood before her path.
"Well, well.... What is this I stumble across on such a bright day?"

Sanctus would have bumped right into Snare had he not said anything. However, she froze. That voice seemed so familiar and brought unease and fear to her form. As she slowly raised her head to see who was before her a haunting memory flooded back. She remembered this demon from when she was but a cub. A demon she had hoped she'd never see again. Her head lowered again and she stare at the ground like a dejected cub.
"Nothing...just something worthless passing through." Her voice came out almost softer than a whisper. "Please allow me to pass...."

Snare drew a paw under her chin and forced her to look up at him, holding her firmly. "Oh no, little one. Things are not so easy. Worthless are you? Then your weak fool of a caretaker is triply so." Bringing her closer he glared. "Where is he? Where is that useless pile of flesh that dared to escape me?" Fire danced over his form, barely kept in check in his anger.

Seeing those flames flicker about him like that scared her to her wits end. The most she could do was cower. He tail went between her hind legs and her ears lay flat against her head. "I don't know. He just left with Koko....please...I honestly don't know." Tears ran down her cheeks. She feared that if he couldn't get to Akai, he would use her as the target of his rage and kill her.

Flames burned in his eyes and he bared his fangs. "Wrong answer." He threw her down forcefully, obviously uncaring of damaging her. He spread his wings skyward, the flames caressing his form in his anger. Standing over her he crushed a paw into her throat, barely allowing her to breath, his cruel claws digging into her flesh.
"That idiot toy is a simple-minded, weak-hearted FOOL. He would not simply abandon one he has taken under his proverbial wing. Now answer me: Where is Akai?" His voice was low, deadly. There was no pretense here. No mercy.

A pained help left her maw when she was thrown down mercilessly. Due to her already weakened condition a sickening pop from her shoulder sounded when her body made contact. She tried to get up to crawl away but the demons moves were far too swift and now she had is paw pressing against her throat. He didn't believe her. God no.
"I...I swear to you I don't...know." Having her air restricted made it hard to answer him and so of course her rasped voice stuttered. "He....sent me off...to find a possible home for us to hide from you." She choked out her vision quickly becoming blurred due to lack of air. "When I came back...he and Koko were gone."

He roared in rage, fire scorching everything within several feet as flames burst from him. The female was either throwing away her life to protect her caretaker or she had indeed been abandoned. Either way, Akai had effectively escaped him again. Again he pulled her up to him, half lifting her from the ground by the neck.
"If you so intend to refuse divulging his location, then very well. I will deal with Akai at a later date. He cannot hide from me forever. YOU however, I will keep for myself to take place of his miserable hide. If he cares for you at all then I expect to be seeing him soon myself. Of course, there's always the option that he's too much a coward to show." He smirked. "Is he nearby? How's about we let him know you're mine, shall we?" Cruel claws sank deep into her good shoulder and began their path downward slowly, inflicting as much damage as possible as painfully as possible. "Scream for daddy, little fish."

She gasped for air when his paw was removed from her throat. She tried to escape again but he had pulled her to him once again. She was trembling and for good reason. "I don't know where he is...I swe-" Her sentence has been cut short and replaced by a blood curdling scream as Snare sank his claws into her good shoulder and dragged downward. Still no Akai or mention of where he may be.
Her mind raced with numerous emotions. Fear, sorrow, anger! How could he have abandoned her like this...left her at the mercy of such a demon?! Ignoring the pain, the need to survive seemed to kick in and she had managed to tear away from her captor and run, though not far. She had collapsed, her wounds spilling out more blood with her weight added. So now she crawled. Slowly and wracked with pain.
"I don't know...." She whispered repeatedly, praying that it would somehow convince the demon.

He followed her crawling form with an unamused look. At this point he didn't care whether she really knew or not. Akai would rue the day he dared to defy him. ...And she would make an ample trade for now. Without so much as a grunt for an answer to her please he simply bent over her and took her by the scruff of her neck. Half-dragging, half-pulling her onwards he silently lead her back towards his territory where he had further plans for her.

He was leading her to his territory..oh gods no. At first she had been trying to keep up, so to keep further angering him and to lessen the pain of being dragged. However that was then. Now she was fighting, trying her damnest to pull away, to escape. She dug her hind paws in the ground and went dead weight.
"Nononononononononononono. Please no. I don't want this." She was hysterical by this point, her vision blurred by the tears that were streaming down her face. This couldn't be happening? No...this had to be a nightmare.

His strength definitely showed as he simply continued to pull along, barely showing any sign of noticing her fight against him. At her words he perked an ear and stopped. He chuckled low and dropped her where she lay, caging her beneath him with a cruel smirk.
"Oh? You don't want this, do you? Don't want what, I wonder? Could it be the thought of my fangs and claws ripping into you?" As he said this he dragged one paw vilely over her, his claws leaving thin trails of red on her flesh beneath her fur. His jaws opened wide, threatened to circle her throat for a moment, but he lowered his head, nipping her instead.
"Or perhaps it's the flames that you fear, eh? Afraid to burn away to cinders are we?" As he spoke, fire danced over her flesh, leaving behind a tingling and the acrid scent of something burning.
"Or perhaps your fear is more carnal in nature. In this I will assure you, there is no escape. You -will- be mine. From now on you will be my plaything, just as your weak caretaker was before you. Defy me and taste my wrath. Obey me and reap your rewards. Freedom is no longer an option for you, my little fish."

Whimpers left her maw as more wounds opened up on her hide when he dragged his paw along her body. Her eyes closed tight when she noticed his jaws opening wide. This was it. The end. Her freedom. Then there it was. The n**. A n**? He really was screwing with her. Just playing with her head. Then she screamed, the flames licking at her hide was a nightmare...but then he mentioned something else. Something far worse than his flames, than his claws and those deadly jaws. Her's being his. His toy and a toy to replace Akai.
She had no real choice. She was his toy no matter how much she disliked it...then again was that so bad? Wait, what was she thinking!? Of course it was...wasn't it. At least he'd want her around...but not because he loved her. No. She was just a tool in this game of his. Not wanting anymore abuse she decided that it would be best to just accept her fate.
"Y...yes sir."

"Very good. You learn quickly, much unlike your careless caretaker." He gave her a lick to the top of her head. Whether it was mockingly sweet or actual praise was in question. Stepping off from her he gave her room to stand, looking down at her with stern eyes.
"Come by my side or allow me to drag you home. The choice is yours. But if you so choose to delay us one more time out of defiance then more wounds shall mark your hide before the day is done."

She visibly flinched when his head had come so close to hers. She didn't even relax when all she got was a lick atop her head. Though she didn't doddle. When he moved to allow her to get up she did...with a bit of trouble. Her head hung low and her gaze glued to the ground. When Snare would continue, she'd carefully limp along. Silent, abandoned, marred, claimed and broken.
With each step she'd take, her heart would speed up. Frightened of what was to come. It took everything that she was to at least keep her breathing steady. Last thing she needed was to hyperventilate.
