So I decided to make my own thread so I would stop clogging up the other Drawing and Photo thread x]

Here's a new one I did. It's acrylic on canvas, and is actually a forgery of a piece by a native artist, John Rombough. He's pretty awesome, and his artwork is crazy complex x_o''

Oh wow, that is awesome. I love the colors, and the abstractness of it and everything. Do you have a picture of the original? And was the original abstract? or did you make it abstract?

awesome. You did a great job of matching the colors. I know what a pain in the a** that is to do, and I don't know how you could have gotten closer without cheating and going to Home Depot for them to match it XD um, some detail work isn't exact, but personally that isn't a big deal for me. It is hard to match that in a medium like paint, and also it adds your style to it. Um, the face and head are shaped differently though... yours makes the bear look nice, in the other he look angry. It is cool in that way, but I am not sure what the assignment specified. Overall I think it is awesome.

Was the painting chose for you or did you choose it? And what was it like working on something that large? (it is big right? it looks... 2ft by 2ft ish?) oh and is it canvas or illustration board?

It was 30 by 30 (inches) I'm Canadian so I don't know the whole feet/inches thing, sorry sweatdrop And thanks for colour comment :] I spent most of my time actually getting the paint the right colour >_<

The assignment was just copy some native artist's artwork. And It was on canvas.

A foot is 12 inches, so I was guessing 24x24. That is cool.... I copied some pen drawings... I should upload those....

His name is Zelos and he's from Tales of Symphonia and he's a loveable pervert! ^_^ He's my favourite character in the game and I wanted to try drawing guys more so I decided to draw him.
