A.I.D.A. is the first -public- encounter with terrestrial technology in New York -2087. Shortly after the encounter several Agencies came to head research programs to understand A.I.D.A. Several months into the project Asimacorp and GDI (Global Defense Initiative) were the two major powers heading the research, but each had their own intentions. A.I.D.A is a vast program that can only be accessed by -downloading- ones self into the program to explore its vast stores of knowledge. The internal structure of A.I.D.A is highly complex and described as a marvelous wonder, but A.I.D.A has one catch to it. It doesn't take lightly to intruders and vast amounts of Defensive Programs that the procesor displays as a resemble the aliens who attacked New York guard its stores of knowledge in 2085. Since the invasion back in November of 2086 A.I.D.A. has spread all throughout the globe noting all types of activity and since it began spreading, its been assimilating data into its Core. So far, GDI and Shinra have been able to learn of the three areas in A.I.D.A. that tell mainly of its creators. An industrial zone that represents economic development, a military zone that represents their military might, and the Core that resembles a data archive. The farthest any team has ever gotten and returned was the end of the Industrial Zone. Those who venture into A.I.D.A have either died or ended up in comas and eventually die. If one dies inside the program they will become brain dead in real life and die. Some look at A.I.D.A as a game but if you die in A.I.D.A you might loose your life in reality. Word is that any military unit that wants to be (handsomely) rewarded for going into A.I.D.A. may venture forth at their own risk. Is the information that valuable? Is it battle plans for another alien invasion? Weapon schematics? As to what the data is and which side will claim the data... Nobody knows but its a race against the clock to find out.

Chapter One: Into the Darkness we go
Time: 0700
Date: 2097 (Ten years after Systematic Infection)

The sound of the alarm clock was annoying, but it was the only thing that woke the man in the small tiwn sized bed The constant buzz made him want to shoot it as he reached over and turned it off. He just laid there in the dark room reeling over the past. The memories of Alpha Squad's demise played over and over in his head. So many people died... So many of them that there was nothing that could be done. The last mission didn't help at all with the Committee watching his every move. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes trying for one last desperate moment of respit before launching himself flying up . Morning exercises started in half an hour. We're suppose to meet in the mess hall for chow at 0800 and then be briefed for the mission at 0845. It should be a simple recon mission into the Industrial Zone. I wonder what unit I'll be assigned to this time... He thought getting ready for what was sure to be a long day. ["I wonder if this squad will live ..." He said drying off and pulling out the standard squad uniform.

W.B.T.Y. inc.-The worlds best transitioned youth is the name on the signfor these guys, but the truth isnt quite that. The inside joke on these guys is the ackronym actually stands for were better than you, they just didnt put that out publicly, they want to turn A.I.D.A. into a weapon that they can use to take power from anyone in thier way. Started by a smallband of foriegn immigrants, the company has grown into a global superpower and is basically un touchable. hellbent on world domination, there is just one last competitor to take down, and only A.I.D.A. can help them. Most employees are former mercs converted for them

GDI Systems- Global Defense Initiative Systems is a goverment run front porginazation for thier own research into advanced weapon systems, they seek to understand This new computer world and be rid of it before the worst can happen. All of these employees are former and current military and have extensive training in armed combat.
