I started off playing Magic back when it first came out. Then I started playing Yugioh and forgot about Magic. In the past 4-5 months, I have returned to the card game that started it all for me. Magic has always been in my blood, now I just have to get back up to speed. Still play Yugioh from time to time but now seem to prefer Magic better.

Yu-gi-oh was my first TCG (actually that's a lie. Harry Potter was my first TCG) That I got into. There was a group of us at highschool that played so we had tourney's to see who was on top. I was in the top 3-5 most of the time with my Crystal Beast deck or my skill drain deck. Then in my senior year a few guys started playing magic and that's how I got hooked.

It's like playing legacy in MTG XD blaugh
its pretty fun to play around every once and awhile, but i think the lack of distribution of cards (because the # of cards per pack plus the # of playable cards in each pack is low. to buy singletons is pretty expensive) and the shere ammount of cards printed compared to their ban list wrecks the game.
it feels like 50% of their cards that are playable are banned or restricted. where as mtg does not have that high of a ratio.
the game is overal fun when both players are using like pre made decks because if you make your own decks its reletivly easy to put a turn 2 win deck. which is why i compared it to legacy.
@sky there was a harry potter TCG?!?!?! xd

Yugioh huh? I haven't played that game since Invasion of Chaos was the latest set. I became too imbalanced for me to find enjoyable. Plus Konami reprinted alot of the badass cards of the day and slipped them into decks. Summoned Skull though...I ran three of those ********>

Tagg the Terror of Death to buy singletons is pretty expensive) yeah people complain about jace 2.0 being expensive, Dark armed dragon peaked at around $300.

I did enjoy pulling a battlegrace angel one time, all I had to do was sort a box of urza's legacy and urza's saga. Tiresome but it was worth the fifty dollar pay check.

sky_rider19 Tagg the Terror of Death @sky there was a harry potter TCG?!?!?! xd Yes there was a harry potter TCG and it actually was very similar to Magic. Yeah, I remember the Harry Potter one. Every time you took damage, you'd mill the amount off the top of your deck. Anyway, in actual relation to the topic at hand: I had myself a Dragon deck that worked quite well. I only really played against my brother and girlfriend, but it was still enjoyable. I remember one game in particular that in a single main phase, I sacrificed a Lord of D. to ritual summon a Paladin of White Dragon, which I sacrificed to summon a Blue Eyes from my deck, which I sacrificed with two others to summon Blue Eyes Ultimate, which I then sacrificed to special summon Blue Eyes Shining Dragon. It was all going well until my brother hit me with a swap creature spell forcing me to lose it to him. He ended up winning the round, but I still did pretty well, considering. Note to self, typing and playing Black Ops, not the easiest thing to do.

Oh Harry potter TGC, How I wish I could forget thee,
Where I Hate Yu-gi-oh, I still consider it a fairly good card game. I would never and will never consider playing it. It seems too much like a sick version of magic that was left behind somewhere around fifth dawn then finally regurgitated when the Japanese discovered Crack and manga go together.
