I hate it when everyone bases everything about you on looks. Like, before they even speak to you, they don't like you because of what you look like. My friends at school do that all the time to me, always pointing out my flaws. SO what if I have a tiny little zit. It'll go away! Jeesh, my personality or how I act is not based upon what I look like! Who agrees with me?

I do agree with you that people tend to stereotype and form opinions of people without getting to know them, and people in general can be superficial when it comes to appearances. They've even done studies where more "attractive" people (symmetrical face, straight teeth etc) were more likely to get jobs. And I'm sorry your friends feel the need to point your flaws, people usually do that when they feel insecure themselves. Don't let it bother you, they're probably doing that because they are intimidated by you and are eager to point out flaws in you to try to convince themselves not to be.

I fret constantly because of these people. I hate them.
